The flavor selection is rather small, but that means they get to focus more on the quality of their product. You can literally taste the difference just by sampling. Though I wanted everything (lmao), I ended up buying a single scoop each of rosemary and first date. Date is a classic & yummy flavor if you're in Palm Springs, duh... Rosemary, however, was interesting. I was worried it'd be too "grassy" or pungent because rosemary is a stronger tasting herb, but to my surprise, super well balanced with its vanilla bean base. Seriously, it was delicious. I'd like to come back for their rose pistachio and lemon meringue pie, if they still have those available. I was able to sample a couple of flavors, and the barista who also serves as the ice cream scooper patiently waited for me to evaluate my favorite flavor. Between vegan birthday cake (very sprinkle tasting) and vegan ube, I chose ube. The ube ice cream was texturally fascinating and really tasty. I stopped by Kreem while in Palm Springs and overall, it was good -- just not five-star good. The ice cream itself was delicious. Creamy, rich, and clearly made with quality ingredients. The flavors were enjoyable and satisfying, and I don't regret stopping in. That said, while it was tasty, it didn't quite have that wow factor that would make me go out of my way to return or rave about it. The space itself is really cute -- clean, well-kept, and aesthetically pleasing. You can tell effort was put into the look and vibe of the shop, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, what held this place back for me (and seems to be a recurring theme in California lately) was the attitude of the staff. The interaction felt cold and unwelcoming, almost like customers were an inconvenience. No one was outright rude, but there was very much a "don't want to be here" energy, which takes away from what should be a fun, lighthearted experience -- especially at an ice cream shop. At the end of an awesome road trip to see Joshua Tree National Park and Pioneertown I was looking for ice cream to take home. I found Kreem on the road out of Palm Springs. Ice cream was rich and creamy. The persimmon flavor had a delicious sweet persimmon flavor. Lemon was a mix of sweetness from the cream and lots of lemon flavor. A bit like Girl Scouts lemon cream cookies. Delicious. :-) Vanilla bean ice cream was cold, rich, and creamy. Loved the sweet vanilla bean flavor. Rosemary was rich sweet creamy with a light rosemary flavor. Cookies and cream had rich and sweet vanilla with chocolatey Oreo cookies. Awesome. Ice cream here is so good! We tried a few flavors and my favorite was the lucuma (Peruvian fruit) mixed with pistachios it was sooo delicious with a floral but also nutty flavor. My fiancés favorite was the funky cold Medina which was an orange blossom base. Really good ice cream with some interesting flavors - they had rosemary, lemon merguine pie and few others, as well as some of the usual. They are happy to give you a sample, so you can be brave in choosing a flavor! so yum! The shop is a few blocks south of the main drag and is easy to drive by, but don't! When you go into the store it's okay but nothing nice and professional and what's worse is we went there at night , maybe an hour before closing, and there were two guys at the counter who looked absolutely bored and made zero eye contact .
