I live in Los Angeles where we have many many Greek options. The specialty Krilakis sandwich here was much better than any gyro I have had back west. It was made differently with lots of cheese and a homemade tzatziki. The bread was soft - perfect in my opinion. Large portions but I forced myself to eat every bite of the sandwich. After reading other reviews about how genuine this restaurant is and how considerate they are about gluten free dining, I had to try it out. My cashier was very knowledgeable and walked me through my options. I had the stuffed grape leaves (they tasted exactly like some I had in Greece), and the feta burger without a bun. Food was fantastic. Had the red fish salad and it was a generous portion of fish. The salad had cucumbers, tomatoes, olives and pita bread. The dressing was perfect and light without drowning the salad. The pita bread was fried and delightfully crispy. A couple of guys I work with recommended this location for lunch, So I said sure. I found the location to be a small quiet place with a simple setup. You order at the corner and are given a cup to fill with your drink of choice and a number to put on the table. I ordered the two cheese cheeseburger. When I asked about condiments I was informed that they could remove the items I did not want but would not be able to add any thing. For reference I get cheeseburgers with ketchup, mustard, and pickles. Their burger comes with lettuce tomato onions and tzatziki sauce. So I got it with nothing on it and was told the ketchup is on the table and the mustard would come in a pack and a hard no on the pickles. Ok, got fries and a drink killed a $20 bill. The service just stayed kind of off and my food came first even though the other two ordered first and both got salads. They both stated that they enjoyed the salads so thumbs up on salads. As from the burger and fries will I was left disappointed. The fries were very good but the burger was not impressive. I felt it would have been better if they served buba burgers. The bun was not warm the meat was underwhelming and the feta cheese just did not work for me. I finished the day at work just not feeling good. So for me this was not a place I would repeat or recommend. But to each their own if you're looking for salads or wraps this might be for you. read more

Oh my word! I would have NEVER guessed that I would find THE BEST lamb gyro that I've eaten in my entire life in Ridgeland, Mississippi... but I did! (Still in awe) Shouts out to Eva, at the register, for being awesome and helping me with my selection. My lamb gyro at Krilakis was definitely 5-star worthy in my book, but I have a thing about restaurants serving tilapia to its patrons and featuring it on the menu. I just can't. I was surprised to find it here, and was mortified to read on and see that it's featured twice on their menu. (Double whammy!) PLEASE get rid of it for the sake of all mankind! LOL! Tilapia fail aside, Krilakis is GOOD! I had every intention of saving some of my lamb gyro for the hubs to try, but that won't be happening as my foil is completely empty sans a stray piece of tomato. I was told this could be the best burger in town and they were not far off. Great burger. Good atmosphere. Just FYI, tell the front person where you want to seat before they tell you. There are numbers on the tables and they will sit you in order to best utilize their space...if you don't want to be "placed" let them know what table you would like. read more

Holy. Smokes. I recently moved from Phoenix to the Jackson area, and have had a somewhat rough start to exploring the totally Yelpable dining scene. Today, I decided to try something for lunch...and I was led to Krilakis. One of my best ideas ever. I've had my fair share of gyros before, but the lamb gyro I got simply blew them all out of the water. The pita was amazing. It wasn't just soft and warm, it was warm and the perfect combination of soft with a slightly toasted outside. I ordered the combination with a small side salad and a drink. Not only was the gyro delicious, but the salad was actually the best side Greek salad I've ever gotten. The flavor was delicious, and they didn't skimp on the toppings (side salads are usually very bland, it seems). Definitely be warned though, the gyros can be messy. You kind of have to just buckle up and plow through it or else it will get everywhere. Seriously. I laughed when I read another review about it getting all over their face/surrounding areas...but it happened to me too. I had a really late breakfast this morning, so I wasn't really even hungry when I went - I just knew I needed to get something to eat before it was too late in the day. But everything was so delicious that I completely cleaned my to go box out. I will say that parking could be a little tricky. There's only about 20 spots in front of the place, and there are other little shops and places that share those spots with Krilakis. I went around 2pm and had no issues. I will definitely be back, and I highly recommend you check the place out if you haven't already. read more

Excellent, excellent quick lunch! Found this on yelp- looking for a spot to stop on the way to New Orleans from Memphis. Very nice, clean open restaurant. I ordered a Gyro special the lamb and chicken as a combo with fries and a drink. My husband ordered the specialty style Krilakis (lamb) gyro - he also ordered the calamari appetizer! We got our drinks and sat down and the calamari was served quickly- it was hot, crispy and delicious served with tzatziki sauce. Gyros were out shortly after the appetizer- hot and DELICIOUS!!! Fries were fresh- crispy on the outside and soft inside! Everyone was friendly and courteous- food was fabulous! Recommend this spot to anyone who loves good food! read more

Chileeeeeeeeeee this is not your momma's attempt at a Gyro. It's really good. I had the speciality shrimp gyro. I'm pretty sure I gained 25lbs sitting there just looking at the thing. It was drip dripping in sauce and seasoned well. Just really really good. I asked for napkins and they young man brought over about 15 and I was looking like, well damn, why do we need all these napkins. After the first bite, I understood. I had sauce all over me. My hands, forearms, nose, back of my ear, and hairline. My friend had the burger. The bun looked pillow soft and he enjoyed it very much. I've already started contemplating which menu item to try next. I'm looking forward to bringing my coworkers to try the salads. The fries are delicious. When I walked in right after they opened it was line to the door. Knew I was on to something, had Yelped..I'm not a local. Locals are the ones here though half the people knew each other! This is by far my favorite Greek bistro in the metro Jackson area. Drew is super friendly and his staff always are accommodating. I've yet to go in and the place wasn't busy. My initial experience at this restaurant was not the best, but I would definitely go here again and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the metro area. I expressed my concerns about an item that I received. Not only did I get a refund, but I got my food remade by the owner himself, Drew. His kindness alone and his mission for this restaurant shed light on the importance of customer service in the restaurant industry. Unfortunately, a lot of restaurants do not care enough about the customers to speak on their behalf or fix an issue. However, this restaurant and family business is the one to watch!
