The assistant who took the x-rays and other photos was perfunctory in her duties and didn't respond when I told her what she was doing was uncomfortable. Dr. Cera came in a gave me a quick exam and then I was told I had to go back out to reception to wait for a hygienist. My wait started at 35 minutes past my appointment time. I waited another 15 minutes and told them I had to leave for another appointment. So I went in for a cleaning and never got a cleaning. Worst of the worst.

I've been seeing Dr. Roybal for about 3 years. It started with a need to replace a veneer on a…read morefront tooth and getting the rest whitened to match. Dr. Roybal and his staff were wonderful and even though it took a little longer than I would have liked to get my permanent veneer, they refused to settle for one that was less than perfectly matched to my other front tooth. Since then I have used them for all my dental needs. Yes, they have a very nice office and many of the comments suggest that cushions into your bill, but they also have a wonderful staff of hygienists and office managers that are some of the sweetest and most attentive I've encountered in any office. Most people are afraid of the dentist and obviously there is nothing fun about dental work, but Dr. Roybal and staff are always paying attention to make sure you suffer as little as possible if at all. Today I had my first root canal...no fun. But Sammy was by my side the entire time and was an absolute delight and made what had full potential to be the worst 3 hours I've had in a long time, completely relaxing. Thus, I drove in the high heat to the office for my appointment even though I am older and the heat makes me fatigued and ill. When I got there they tried to force dirty ionizing radiation old school dental X-rays upon me. I asked if they had the new radiation free DEXIS CARIVU technology and they did not, but they had said prior that they would not force me to get dirty ionizing radiation scans. But when I got to the office, I felt tricked. They said they wouldn't do the exam without forcing me to be exposed to the radiation cancer-causing scans. They tried claim the x-rays are low dose as ever as the industry has lied about for decades. However, there is no safe dose of ionizing radiation according to LNT, just look it up. IONIZING RADIATION IS A KNOWN CLASS 1 CARCINOGEN. The only safe dose is no dose. Everyone should be asking for the new dental technology and RADIATION-FREE DENTAL EXAMS! These dentists should not be forcing cancer-causing scans on their patients. The first rule of a healthcare provider should be to DO NO HARM. Especially for children.

Worst dentist experience. He went through my mental health…read moremedical history and insisted on talking about my eating disorder in depth when it had nothing to do with the dental care that day. Dr. Gallegos ripped my gums to shreds and pressed on my jaw joints so hard that I couldn't eat normally for over a week. When he was doing this he pressed his belly against the back of my head and every time i moved away he moved closer. This felt really creepy and uncontrollable. I called ahead and they insisted they could "set me up" with a mouth guard. When I spoke with Dr. Gallegos he insisted that over the counter was my best option and not to be stubborn. It turns out that they don't have the capability to make a mouth guard. This visit also cost me $400. Dr. Gallegos is rude and rough. He is physically and emotionally inappropriate.
