I shopped around for a new dentist when our family dentist retired. My wife gets extreme anxiety and has had difficulty getting numb in parts of her mouth, two problems which seem to have compounded each other. Dr Sharpe was extremely reassuring and now about 3 years later we have been nothing but completely satisfied with the business, the doctor's technical ability, her amazing patience and willingness to explain what she is doing and how, as well as her ability to lay out a manageable plan. She has even somehow figured out how to get my wife's most troublesome area to numb. No dentist she has ever used was able to accomplish that before. My highest recommendation! read more

I hesitate to write this, given all the glowing reviews. This Dentist advertises with Yelp so generally, those types of accounts never have bad reviews, they are removed. Here goes: I had just moved from Los Angeles to Santa Fe and was on my last Invisilyn tray. I began looking for a dentist to get fitted for a long-term retainer to keep the expensive work in place. I searched around and after speaking with the receptionist who estimated wouldn't take more a week to get a retainer, I made an appointment. Everything seemed to go well. The good vibes ended there. After being told my retainer would be available within a week (weeks had passed since my last Invisilyn tray and teeth were moving around daily, it was imperative I get a retainer quickly and so I was relieved to be told they could get it fast), it was not ready. In response to my concern over the phone, the receptionist began reading my dental charts to me over and over (as if I wasn't speaking) by way of saying 'We never said they would be ready sooner' like I was a child who misunderstood simple directions on how to open a door. She continued like this, speaking right through me. The conversation became heated. When I arrive for my appt, I'm told they 'mailed a check to me, the retainer wasn't coming out right, we feel you should see an actual orthodontist, the dentist didn't like how it was coming out, we mailed you a refund....' As I stood there in shock, wondering why no one called or emailed me, and began asking questions, the truth came out, only I kept exclaiming my shock, dismay and confusion. Later I realize, they had me come to the office on purpose. The receptionist didn't like our conversation regarding the delayed trays and the office in solidarity decided to punish me for by cancelling the whole thing. I paid for a retainer, they decided to keep it, out of spite. No one called me or emailed me to let me know because they wanted me to stand there, confused and embarrassed. The manager telling me to come into her office which happens to be right next to the receptionist's desk. Confused, I follow her in. The receptionists watch. The office manager, who has never met me, leaves the door open so the receptionist can hear. She starts with the same lies (we decided we aren't qualified to make your retainer etc) and then finally, after my protestations, the truth comes out: a compilation of my shortcomings as a patient: 'we record conversations', you didn't want the water we gave you' and 'you wouldn't put in two crowns like we told you to'. What...? I came in for a retainer and a tooth cleaning. I didn't come in to buy two crowns and a spanking . I don't like being pressured to buy big ticket items. In other words, I had the one heightened (mind you, no swearing, no screaming, just direct, clear and firm) conversation with the receptionist over the phone. If there was more to my horribleness than 'you didn't like the water and you didn't make an appointment to get two crowns created', she was unable to supply it. Needless to say, I asked to speak to the dentist. That ain't happening in a million years. They don't have an email address and all requests to the Dentist have been ignored. I get louder as she is talking right through me, showing me the door, This is deeply unprofessional. Why didn't someone just call or email? All of this could have been avoided' but she's not listening. Finally, she threatens to 'call security'. Yes, you read that right. Let's take a poll: should I sue for the cost of fixing my bite due to not having a retainer for another month and a half? They removed all attachments on my teeth, which means I can't even use my last Invisilyn tray. Thousands of dollars wasted. Happily, friends here have set me up with a great dentist. read more

I'm upgrading them to a 5; they are very kind and helped me with my bite 3 times without charge after I had a root canal. And what clinches it is that this is the first dentist I've met who admitted to familiarity with",Little Shop of Horrors" "Dentist Song". read more

I can't imagine having a better experience at the dentist. Ginger Sharpe is a solid dentist with genuine heart and technical expertise. She runs her office like the staff is family. The office is seriously stocked with the latest technology. Dr. Sharpe cares about extra details which mean a lot to me: pre-numbing so shots are not felt, the use of a soft bite guard that lets you relax rather than holding your jaw open, giving time to getting the perfect fit (of a crown), headphones with your choice of music. I had a crown put in and two cavities filled in one sitting with ease. The crown was made in the office while I waited saving me a 2nd visit. The fit is perfect and it's pretty! The next morning I was able to run a half marathon because I felt great. I will be back. I recommend Ginger Sharpe whole heartedly! read more

Broke a tooth on a weekend -- no dentists, of course. Dr. Sharpe's office manager called me on Sunday though and set up a special Monday morning appointment. Dr. Sharpe not only saved the tooth but repaired my bite and matched the tooth color to the rest of my teeth. She uses laser technology for fillings and repairs, and it's totally painless. No waiting hours afterward for the needle and drugs to wear off. I was done and back at work within an hour and able to eat breakfast. She and her staff put the client first, and I have never had a more relaxing, yet professional, treatment. I would send anyone to her. Gentle, kind and very professional services. Wow, a wonderful dentist to find! I moved here several months ago and had an emergency with my tooth cracking. I found Dr. Sharpe here from Yelp, and the whole experience which could have been frightful, was as best as it could be under the circumstances. I highly recommend her, she is a great dentist, has a wonderful manner, makes you feel really comfortable, and does great work. Her assistant, Edwin was also incredibly helpful throughout the whole process, worked hard and they both spent a great deal of time and took great care with me. Her whole staff seemed terrific. I called Dr Sharpe's office because I had fracture a tooth and was in her office seeing her within an hour of my call. I wnew to Santa Fe and scared to death about seeing a new dentist. My experience with Dr. Sharpe was amazing!! Not only was she able to save my tooth, but she did everything painlessly in one appointment. She & her staff fitted me for a new crown that felt exactly like my original tooth and I left the office with my permanent crown. I had no pain after the procedure and I'm back to chewing on the tooth as though it was there my whole life. Her office uses all the latest technology for a pleasant and painless experience. Santana was efficient in obtaining needed x-rays and constantly checked my comfort level throughout my overdue cleaning today. Dr. Sharpe was warm and welcoming while she examined my teeth.
