I may have been the 1st Krispy Kreme consumer in Memphis, when they opened the 1st location in this area. Because I moved my restaurant out of a building which was quickly leased by KK. A pastry lover, I was there the morning they opened! & Though I try not to consume very many these days, KK is my fave treat tied with Ice Cream! Working inside a donut or an ice cream place is not as easy as it looks. Pretty much anywhere we go these days:: We are all in a hurry, just want 2 minutes of attention, etc. & No, many employees don't give their full attention to the customer's order. It's very irritating to me when I have to repeat twice more what I've already clearly said. Listening Skills & Attention Spans are not what they used to be, that's for sure! But we may cut a little slack if it's OUR DAUGHTER or SON behind the counter! I went in to this KK mid-afternoon, & 3 employees courteously helped me. I've never encountered a problem with the QUALITY or CONSISTENCY of KK products. The store was very clean, & the heavenly smells made me want to sit & devour my treats right then & there! So I did, while observing . . . Walk a mile in their shoes. I have. I've trained hundreds of food employees ~ some "got it" & some didn't. Do not ever come here. Customer service is horrible and they always run out of doughnuts. Like today they don't even have the advertised chocolate doughnuts. Terrible management oversight on their part and also for not updating website to inform customers. Second, none of the other stores won't even answer their phones to confirm if they even have doughnuts available. That is terrible for customers like me coming over 30 minutes away. Not the best Krispy Kreme. The staff was to busy to help and after you did manage to order they neglected to tell you where to pick up your order and there are not signs for the "pick up" area. After asking I was treated like I should have know and when I come over to pick up my order, the employee seemed to have no idea they were supposed have put it together and I had to wait longer for her to do so. By far one of the worst Krispy Kreme restaurants I have ever been in. First they do not know how to run their app gift cards. More than one time I have come into this location and they still have not learned how to process gift cards. The manager is not very helpful and the majority of the staff seems like it is a bother to help customers. Skip this place. Worst customer service ever. No one was in the store, but manager who made eye contact still would not wait on us for over 3 minutes. The manager grunted at me, and pointed to the cash register on the southwest corner. Did not have any of the Valentine donuts at 8pm and no one was even there. I only went to Krispy Kreme because my go-to (Bartlett Donuts) was closed for vacation. The donuts are expensive ($12 for a mixed dozen???) and just ok. The service is horrible. When I was trying to give my order, the girl kept interrupting me. I finally had to start over because I had forgotten what I had already ordered. When I told the girl I needed to start over, she gave a very loud irritated huff into the speaker. Rude!!! Someone needs to train this girl in good customer service. I arrived at the drive-through at 7:10 this morning. There were about 9 cars in front of me. No problem . . . I can wait 10 minutes or so. After 10 minutes, nobody had moved. Two of the cars in front of me couldn't wait any longer and left. I waited another couple of minutes and, when still nobody moved, I also left. I'm not sure what the issue was with the person at the window, but out of respect for others in line, they should have asked that car to move forward to allow others, who were just picking up an order or placing a simple "dozen glazed" order, to process through. I understand it's a tough time for all of us in this environment, but companies need to figure out how to "process" orders in a timely fashion in order to provide a great customer experience, positive "word-of-mouth" advertising and, ultimately, to bring back a repeat customer. read more

If I could rate this location a zero I would! Do not waste your time at this location. If you really want Krispy creme, it's better to just drive to a different location. Time wise it will actually be faster. Walked in, and there were 4 people ahead of me in line. 4! That's it. Waited in line for 30 minutes! Finally walked out. The selection of donuts was terrible. They are a donut place and can't even get that right! They are plenty staffed, but can't understand the concept of an assembly line. Donut selection was pretty good for mid day...but the coffee. It is the worst coffee I have had in a long time. It tasted burnt. I would have been better off stopping at a gas station to get coffee. I was there in a Sunday afternoon. 6 people behind the counter -2 women helping ONE customer, 2 girls huddled together talking, 1 fella walking around 1 girl about to clean the drive thru window. I was the only other customer in there besides the woman ordering at the counter. No one was manning the conveyer belt and donuts were going into the trash can and on to the floor. What a waste!! After getting bad service multiple times, we have now decided to boycott this KK location. These donuts are NOT worth the rudeness and attitude you get when you go to this Krispy Kreme. Usually these Krispy Kreme donuts from this location are subpar anyway and overpriced unless you have a coupon. 10 bucks for a dozen glazed after tax?! Horrible service and I was charged incorrectly. When I tried to point out that I wasn't given a receipt for my refund, they were rude and wouldn't give one. Bad, horrible service. Not even a "thank you for your business". Nothing. Okay... I thought I would KK another chance. It's a shame this place has gotten even worse. Took 5 minutes before I was acknowledged at the order window. But was asked to hold. Had simple order of 3 original glazed and 1 chocolate with cream icing. Dude even repeated my order. I got to the window and dude had it completely ass-backwards. DONUTS ADDICTS BEWARE!!!!! Horrible store.. They never never have anything advertized. like the Valentines, Reeses, Choc on Choc. I even call when they advertized the Choc on Choc to see if they had any and was told they had plenty. Loaded my grandkids and went straight there and they had none. They didn't even care. They said no one called them. I showed them the number in my phone and they could care less. The people in there are just rude and do not care. Our neighbors went for the valentines early on the 13th and they were out and then we went with them later on the same night around 8pm and they were out . I'm not big on giving reviews but I just went to Krispy Kreme for the first time and I am totally disgusted by the amount of donuts they throw away. I love the "fresh" aspect of their product but to have over half of the donuts go down the conveyer belt right into a huge trash bin is seriously sad. I asked the girl at the register (who was very friendly) why they were allowing so many donuts go right into the trash to the point of overflowing onto the floor and she said they only keep "perfect" donuts. Let me start off by saying that I have waited an extremely long time for a Krispy Kreme to be in the Bartlett area so it really makes me sad that this new location already has negative reviews. I've been to this location a few times and so far so good. Donuts were hot and fresh and delicious. Service was fast. Staff was friendly. They only kink, like most new restaurants, businesses, etc. was the staff was a little bit of "deer in headlights" looking overwhelmed and possibly undertrained. Friendly staff, clean seating area, cool paper hats for the kids, and a nice display of mugs, cups, and other branded items. Picked up a box of Keurig light coffee cups as well. I hear so much about this Krispy Kreme and how the lines are so long at night. Well here is the reason. I arrived at the drive in at 8:15 pm with about 5 cars in front of me. The google web site says the store closes at 10pm. I finally got up to the order menu at 8:45. I could here employees laughing and talking on the order menu speaker. When I placed the order someone said sorry they were talking. They did not acknowledge my order or say anything else even after I asked if they got my order. I finally moved up to the pick up window after about 10 minutes of no response once the car in front left with their order. We sat at the window for another 10 minutes with no one coming to the window to help us. I tried to call the store from my phone and no one answered. I finally decided to leave with no order and a complete waste of my time. I also noticed when leaving there were employees still in the store standing around. I will never go to a Krispy Kreme again. The reason why lines are long is not because they are serving customers but because they are losing customers that they did not know they could have. I sure hope the owner of this store opens his eyes and looks into management and employees and make changes if he wants to stay in business. This is zero stars. read more

Slow and poor customer service. Got a free cup of coffee for National Coffee week. It reeked of being in the pot all day. Guess this is how they thank their paying customers. Also, female with long stringy braids swings hair around donuts and is handling money at the window.
