I love Krispy Kreme. I really wanted a donut while in the area last year, so my boyfriend and I stopped in to pick some up. They were out of quite a few varieties, but I got a classic and a blueberry cake donut. The person helping us was friendly and patient while I tried to figure out what I wanted. It was a quick stop in and I really enjoyed my donuts! They were fresh, tasty, and delicious. The classic glazed are my favorite. They're so light and fluffy, it's like eating a sugary puff cloud. I feel like I could easily eat a LOT of them so I usually only get one! It's fun to watch the donuts go through the fryer. I like that Krispy Kreme is an option for me, I am not usually a huge donut eater (I typically prefer savory snacks and food), but sometimes it just hits the spot. Service was great, donuts looked really good. Bathroom was absolutely disgusting, ordered two iced coffees, ice melted in both so one of the employees gave us cups of ice to put in it. I thought that was very nice. Got to the car, and took a sip, both were watered down terribly, one was fine and mine filled my mouth with coffee grams(asked for a refund of course). Back to the cups of ice, I had mine in between my legs cause I like munching on the ice, now my whole butts wet because I didn't know the cup had hole in it. On a whim, I took my daughter to Krispy Kreme in hopes that they were making donuts. We were in luck! We walked in to the heavenly smell of frying dough & coffee to watch the magic happen. My 6 year old was delighted to stand on the white tile ledge and watch the donuts go from little rounds of dough to fluffy balls to golden fried goodness. It was fun explaining the process, watching the filling being added and then walk around to the glass-front counter to choose an airy frosted & filled donut. Granted, I'm a cake donut person, but it's fun to let her pick out a donut like this once a year. The bakery is lit by tons of natural light (oh wait, that was the sun that we don't see a lot in Michigan!) and has plenty of seating - tables, high tops & window ledges.
