This place is sad now. I am a lifelong lover of Krispy Kreme. This location does not appear to be clean and the employees are apathetic. Check your order because I ordered three types of donuts in the store, not drive through and they got it wrong. Four of my six were plain so it was not a difficult order. Just had the worst experience with this location I've ever had. In the drive through trying to order a dozen assorted we keep getting told they were out of things (they usually are) which would make us stop and have to figure out what else we wanted and then we heard a girl employee very rudely tell the male employee to "tell em to keep going". Oh dear goodness, please come here! You can get fresh ooey gooey doughnuts that literally melt in your mouth. My mouth is watering right now. It's in a great location with tons of stuff around to do. A couple of my favorites include the $1.50 Carmike Cinema over on Lorna and The Galleria Mall. I love consuming these calories. my boyfriend and I just waited in this line for close to 45 minutes for the guy at the speaker to tell us that they are out of everything but 4 items that honestly aren't very good. The past couple of times we have drove out of our way to come to this location, they are out of a good majority of their donuts. For this being an establishment that is known for selling donuts and known for having a line around the building, you would think they would have enough prepared, but I guess not. Man, this place was a mess today. Not impressed on our visit today. Hot n Ready sign was on, donuts were coming off the line. Which was great! But the rest, well not to awesome. Started off with 8 workers up front and receiving no help. Not even being acknowledged. My son and I were the only people there. We stood at the donut glass for almost 10mins before they decided to wait on us. Finally got our order an went to register and noticed a huge swarm of flies on the counter. Completely gross. Decided to keep our donuts regardless of the flies because they got them right off the press. Ordered drinks, paid and finally sat down. The whole place was just unkept. Dirty floors and tables and staff completely oblivious to their waiting customers. Can say I will not be back to this location anytime soon unless they decided to do an overhaul on morning staff and actually deep clean and exterminate the bugs. read more

Giving it a 2 star because the donuts are always awesome. The missing 3 stars are for service. We come here all the time and the service is by far worst in town. Be ready for rude attendants working drive thru windows and long wait times. Average wait time in drive thru from order sign is roughly 15 mins which is laughable considering it's all donuts. The incompetence of this krispy kreme is incredible. During the $1 for a dozen donut sale, I waited in line for an hour only to be asked to go to the back of the line for no reason, as if that would solve any problems. We were nothing but courteous, but when we attempted to buy a dozen donuts, they tried to charge us close to $11. However, the people in front of us (who cut in front of about half the line) had just gotten 4 dozen donuts for $4. And when we confronted the cashier about this, they just removed it from the cash register and acted like it never happened. This Krispy Kreme is the worst!!!!! In the last 12 months I've been there twice, same story each time. For brevity I will only tell you today's experience: I drive into the parking lot at 6:15am to share a lemon doughnut with my wife before we go our separate ways for the day. We've heard great things about this popular new flavor! Before leaving home we checked the web and confirmed that Krispy Kreme opened at 5:30 am. As we walk up at 6:15 there is a man making unusual gestures inside and we see the sign with the hours of operation stating they open the lobby at 5:30. The door is locked. The man inside gestures for us to drive around to the drive through. We comply. When I get the ordering point he tells me that "before you start let me tell you we are out of lemon and original". I ask "aren't those your two most popular flavors?" He admits that is true. I ask if management is aware that this store has not opened and has no doughnuts and I ask for his name. He says "I'm not a manager. Would you like to speak to a manager?" I ask if a manager is present and he says, "no". He says I can register my complaint at 800 MyKrispy. Ridiculous. As to be expected, the line was around the building - but hey! It IS Friday night, after all. I knew it would be before I even got near the place. The line was slow, as usual, but everyone that goes there knows that it's usually going to be. They were sold out of about half of the variety flavors, but it is 10:30pm, too, so I can't really complain much about that. They did have some of the heart-shaped ones available, so I am happy about that, since getting a special surprise treat for a 6-yr-old was the whole reason for the visit. The young man in the window was an absolute sweetheart, and I enjoyed chatting with him a moment while I waited for my coffee. Although it took a while to get what I wanted, and I felt very rushed by the girl taking the order (though she also seemed orderly and efficient, and I didn't have to keep repeating my variety order), I'm not unhappy with the experience. She did leave one item off, but it wasn't an expensive one. When I brought it to the attention to the window staff, it was resolved quickly, and without a second charge (I'd already paid). I am looking forward to sharing this special treat with my special little Valentine. read more

Maybe I went to late at night but it was just 7pm. We bought an assortment of doughnuts. We ordered 4 Creamed Filled which we all know have chocolate icing. Well, these doughnuts had enough icing all together for maybe one creamed filled doughnut. Also 3 of the doughnuts weren't even filled with anything. NO FILLING!! The other doughnuts were just dry. Every other Wednesday we get donuts for our employees. The past 3 times we've gotten donuts (more than a dozen each time) there is hardly any cream in the cream filled donuts. It's less and less each time. This time there was only about a dime to nickel sized amount. There was a hole that I could clearly see into the donut and no filling until I got to the other side. My kids and I went in to this location because we were near and we wanted a donut. We were greeted by about 5-7 people and asked what we wanted, but we were standing back to decide so we let others go in front of us. There were a couple of women standing near the donuts and I told them what we wanted and that included 2 medium frozen caramel mocha lattes. Another lady on the other end of the counter loudly asked what size and flavor so I repeated the drinks. She preceded to make 2 smalls and then tries to charge me for 1 small and 1 medium. I also had ordered a Large Hazelnut iced coffee and when the lady was done making my kids drinks, the other ladies standing around had not made my iced coffee, so I just told them don't worry about it. I don't understand how there were so many people there to work and only 3 of them were actually working. The rest were standing around talking and not actually working. 1 lady made my kids frozen lattes and 1 was running the drive thru and 1 got us our donuts- which she didn't even pay attention and gave my son the wrong one but he ate it anyway. We wanted to sit and enjoy our snack, but after they basically ignored my coffee order, didn't make the size drinks I ordered and tried to overcharge me, we took our items and left. Why, oh, why, do we even bother going here???? We last went here Dec 19, 2020. Sorry for the late review but I had written this on my pad immediately after, so it is still valid. This was our last time, for sure! Once again a bad experience. Dining area not open as advertised because per the manager he didn't have enough people working to open it. ("Several laid out again today." Dude, fire them and hire new people!) Drive thru took 45 mins (not exaggerating!) just to get to order board/speaker then another 20 mins to delivery window. Are you counting it up? That's 65 minutes (1 hr 5 mins)!!!! I guess maybe due to that short staffing? No apology for the long wait. When we we started ordering at the board/speaker we were told 4 items were no longer offered by KK, despite those items being on both the website and their menu. We placed a shorter order, but, arriving at the window were told they no longer had two of the items we ordered in stock, "So, you want something else?" Me: "Nope! I'm afraid that'll take another 20 minutes to fill. Just give me what's in that box in your hands right now." We will start using DD from now on. read more

Only reason people go here is because they always have the hot donut sign, but only three glazed ones actually taste good. Six of us went there last night at 10:15 PM. The lobby is supposed to be open till midnight. As we entered the "rear" door (furthest from the cash register, by the bathrooms) an employee waited for us to finish entering and then locked the door. I asked if they were closing early. He said no but he was told to lock the doors. I explained he could not lock the doors in the lobby when customers were present due to fire codes (there were several other customers present). He told me the drive-thru is open 24 hours. He pointed at his manager and said he was just doing what he was told. I looked at her and asked why they were locking the doors at 10:15 PM, a full 1 hour 45 mins before they were supposed to close the lobby. She responded by asking if I wanted their GM's information. Told her it was a violation of fire code to do such. She turned and walked away. As we approached the counter/doughnut display we noted they only had about 15 specialty doughnuts left, and then only 3 different types...which has been a recurring issue when we go there anytime after 9 PM. Our friends who live in Hoover have stated before when they go by there in the evening/night times this particular KK rarely has anything other than the standard glazed doughnuts. We've visited other KK locations throughout the Southeast US, at this hour, and have rarely seen such issues. Might be time for a change in management here. read more
