I never really understood the hype with Krispy Kreme. We stopped by here to bring donuts for my friends and the line was insane. I always pass by on my way to my boyfriends house but it always looked like such a pain to get into and out of so I never had any desire to stop. All in all the donuts were good and warm and you could tell they were just made which is nice considering sometimes when I go to dunkin donuts their donuts are stale. KK is a little too sweet for me, all the varieties seem to be covered in a glaze but I can see why other people love it so much. Waited in line for two hours in Miami, only for them to end the 80th birthday deal without any warning to people in line before 12. Listening to the people in front of us ordering, is when we first heard that the special had ended and that one of the employees was out there saying the special was over. This was a lie! One word of advice: you MUST wait for the flashing lights to go on, because the doughnuts are as fresh as they come. Straight from the oven, or wherever fresh and succulent baby doughnuts come from. The neighborhood is questionable, but do not let that deter you from coming here. The drive-through line is either completely dead or abnormally long. You just GOTTA get the original glazed, because why else would you come here? I often travel from great distances to come here because there are none in my neck of the woods (Pembroke Pines) - so that's how you know that this is the place to be. On this particular visit I was a bit disappointed. I visited inside around 4pm. The employee took my order and I stated I would the two dozen special: one original and the other assorted. As she was half way thru preparing the assorted dozen she informed me that they did not have anymore original glazed donuts. I was like "well you should have told me that since the beginning, if not i wouldn't have ordered TWO dozens". What's worst is that there was a tray full of original donuts in the display near the register. When I asked her "what about THOSE donuts?" She says oh no those are not for sale that's for display." As I stood there in disbelief one of the other employees took some original donuts from the "display" and served it to another customer! I insisted I wanted some of those "display" ones too- it only seemed fair !..... She finally placed four in the box to complete my assorted dozen. I paid the $8.99 (for one assorted dozen) and left. Ordered 2 dozen documents, 1 dozen of which was supposed to be free for Cyber Monday. Door Dash only delivered one out of the two boxes. It was for a birthday breakfast surprise. I tried calling the store but they never picked up or followed up on my voicemail. At 8:00 am I was able to speak to customer service at the corporate office. She promised to have the dozen delivered in an hour. I told the group to expect it.
