I love this location. Today I used drivethru to scoop up all the chocolate doughnut flavor that Hersey created for this month. Oh my, I love all of them. This isn't your standard Krispy Kreme experience- here, the doughnuts seem to be pre-cooked and then are tan through the glazed when you get there. They don't have the full frying equipment setup. The staff is pleasant, but the doughnuts themselves don't have that signature Krispy Kreme texture. It's softer and it gives it a different flavor. One employee with orange hair got out of a white Mercedes that smelled strongly of marijuana and then served me donuts. Customers should not be exposed to that in a food service environment. I was not allowed to pay for the purchase of one donut today because the young people in this store decided that they could not accept Sacagawea Dollar coins as a form of payment. They said they did know how to accept that currency. If this is store policy, why isn't it posted somewhere in the stores. The employee was visibly upset that I request hot donuts. Each time I visited this location when ever I requested hot donuts it seem to be an issue. Each time I would request hot donuts they would pull ready made donute from there storage holder and when I respectfully decline they seem baffled lol and to their credit they eventually get me hot donuts lol. Last experience was a 5 hands down. I wish I took the name of the individual who helped us but he was a hoot. He was so personable with my daughter and he just made her smile from ear to ear. Came here b/c we were in the area and it's generally a nice easy treat that my daughter loves. Holy cow... How can you possibly ruin coffee this badly? My usual cup of joe is a large black coffee with room--to doctor it up. Normally, 2-3 creamers and 1 splenda will cure even the bitter or burnt. I don't expect much. 8 creamers and 5 splenda later and it still isn't drinkable. My husband is a sailor and drinks his coffee black--no matter what. He can't even drink mine. It is so bad that it can not even be saved by one of their beautiful donuts. I visited here on Wednesday. This is one of the newer locations in the area and it definitely gets steady business. I only came here to claim my free donut in celebration of the 1000th store opening in Kansas. The workers here are punctual and always have a smile of their face. The dining area is clean and well taken care of. I have visited this location at least 10 times since it's opening, and I have yet to have any complaints. I must say I have never encountered a long wait for any order. Although, I have noticed a somewhat long line around the 7am hour. Nevertheless, if you are looking for freshness, stop on in. The "light" that reads "hot KK now" ...alerts everyone that a fresh batch of donuts are ready for you to indulge! This location is just off the highway... perfect. I used to be a fan but I have since fallen in love with cake style donuts at other places in the area. But no doubt these are a cult classic. This location doesn't leave anything to complain about. I usually never really have bad ratings but it really sucks when the service is awkwardly unfriendly and then the donuts match the service . The best service I had seen to be only during quarantine because everything went down hill after . I have tried many many types of donuts from this location and I'm not sure who makes them because I have been coming for YEARSS since they opened but the last donut pictured for this months new flavor ( S'mores ) was so trash and also the strawberry full moon that was advertise for one day only was horrible as well . I literally couldn't pick up the s'mores donut without it falling apart. It honestly tasted horrible ( resembled the texture of dirt) and left an after taste for a little while . Water didn't help it either. Also they are real funny with using your rewards for transactions . I understand Covid and are happy to say my number out loud but they always Act like they punch it in wrong and I never see my rewards and of course no one answers the phone when I call . I don't recommend which is Honestly unfortunate because it's not many donut let alone dessert shops in the area . They barely keep stock of classic donut flavors ( they literally only have about 5 flavors now anyway) . This is the Only Krispy Kreme location in our area, there is another located on battlefield blvd in Chesapeake about 7 miles away. If I have the time, I always go to the battlefield store as they always have the correct seasonal donuts and the staff is much nicer. This location usually never has hot donuts(unless you count rolling them under the hot icing. I am giving them 3 stars today because they actually had the advertised Halloween donuts as well as what looked to be hot donuts being made. The manager was on duty today. We also ordered coffee drinks. I ordered caramel and was charged for caramel but received mocha. I didn't bring it back because I simply did not want to interact with the rude, disinterested, eye rolling staff again. If you can go to the battlefield store, do so. Krispy Kreme is on the come up. This is a nice store located in the old Tower Mall area from way back in the day. It's now called Victory Crossing and KK is a nice addition to the lay of the land. About a half mile or so down Victory Blvd is the Tidewater Community College campus (TCC) which once fully expanded out will hopefully bring an uptick of customers into the store. Also, there's a drive thru at this location. Parking is adequate. The ambience is modern with earth tone ceramic tiled flooring and retro-styled seating. There's ample seating and tables and the prices are more savory than Starbucks. However, the place is empty save for the trickle of customers walking in and then immediately leaving upon completion of their order. Meanwhile, across town, there's a wrestling match going on to find available searing at a cramped Starbucks near you. So with the favorable tone of my review one would probably wonder why I only gave KK 3 stars. Well, to get a 5 star rating from me one has to provide a nirvana-like experience, and I couldn't give KK 4 stars because they lack the one ingredient that every coffee shop needs to fill empty chairs and tables: WiFi. Customers service isn't bad. It's summer so there's mostly teens working the front. I'm just glad to see young people working and earning money legally rather than being outside spreading hate and discontent. Not a bad establishment at all for some coffee and, well, donuts. I'm just surprised that in the nearly hour time I was there I didn't see one cop car. Don't coffee, donuts and law enforcement go hand-in-hand? Hmmm, strange. read more

My kids love KK donuts. So when the coupons came in the mail they asked daily until I finally drove over here. It's right off the highway so easy to get to. For once the HOT sign wasn't on. I don't even know if they make donuts here or just get them delivered and glaze them fresh. My kids wanted the cheesecake flavored donuts. First, when you do something well, do that. Every time there is a new flavor here my family wants to try it. But I am disappointed every time. The cheesecake donuts were no different. I did not like the caramel one and the chocolate one was just too rich. yes, too rich to consume a whole one. The fresh glazed donuts were the best. Come for that and be happy. The staff is very friendly. The first time I went to this location I went inside. The facility looked clean. I ordered a medium coffee and a large coffee, which is what I paid for. Come to find out I got two mediums. I decided not to complain, because it was not worth my time to wait for another coffee. The second time I visited Krispy Kreme, I went through the drive-thru. Thankfully, there was no line. I pulled up to order a dozen donuts. My order was not too complicated. However, I had to repeat myself three times before the lady repeated it back correctly. I ate Krispy Kreme Original donuts for years before I learned the importance of the Hot Now sign. I'm a Northerner and it took a Southerner, the land of Krispy Kreme, to educate me. Once I ate a hot Original donut and it actually melted in my mouth I was totally hooked. I'm not a fan of their other donuts but the Original donut eaten hot is truly something special.
