White customers before me and after me didn't have to show her ID. I challenged her about this practice by asking her if that's the store policy and if she does this with everyone. She said that she's just trying to make sure that no one uses my card (a typical response). I reminded her, you're not protecting me by discriminating against me or making me do steps because of my race that other customers don't have to do. I contacted corporate. This is illegal and could warrant a lawsuit. No other customers (usually white) showed any identification to her or any other employees at the counter. The coffee was really good. Not super strong or bland, I could tell that it was fresh. The hot coffee was yummy...and my friends iced coffee was perfect. It wasn't watered down. At first I was trying to avoid going there. But now, I wouldn't mind. Only issue was the cup kept leaking from the side. So, I have to drink my coffee quickly. No big deal, however would be if you're a coffee sipper. read more

I was there a few weeks back at 6:10am but they were not open, a sign on the drive through said that they were opening at 7 "Sorry". I could not wait. I figured that they had problems with employees showing up but when I went back a few days later I got told that the donut making machine was broken, they had to call a repair person. I asked how often this happens as I had come all the way from Lacey so this really sucks and got told that it is currently a somewhat regular problem. I say that if they know they have equipment problems then they need to fix said problem, opening two hours late on any kind of somewhat regular basis is NOT ok for a donut shop. The only thing that was great is that when I did get a double dozen I was asked what kinds I wanted for the variety dozen and I said that I was trying to impress someone so only the popular ones please, the employee seemed to make that happen. I was in quite a hurry one morning and I was tasked with trying to get some form of breakfast for the meeting that we had. I realize we are in difficult times, however, even prior to covid, this location was difficult. The hot-light NEVER matched the Krispy Kreme app and the app is not updated for current covid hot light/business hours. They rarely have hot original when they should and they make so many excuses. This is a constant problem. Also, when I hold out my phone to pay with my app and get credit for my purchase 3 out of 5 employees tell me I can't use the app because they have already rung up my purchase or they act as if they have never seen the pay by phone option. So I was here with my wife at the Tacoma mall and decided to go to Krispy Kreme drive thru. I have been to many Krispy Kreme establishments all over the US and this is the worst one so far because of its completely unprofessional employees. At first the lady couldn't take my order and started to laugh and make fun of me with her colleague. I decided to not pay attention (let people have fun) and then I ordered coffee. She said to go to another window where I need to pay. I right away mentioned that I haven't finished my order and I'm going to take another coffee and 4 donuts more. Guess what she said to me :" You are not getting anything". WHAT? After that she keeps laughing and making fun. In the end she asked me what kind of donuts do I want, and I said that I'm not sure which ones maybe you could recommend me some.
