Cute crab shack ambience, it's a hot spot so order or arrive before the dinner crowd. My first visit was a Saturday around 6 and it was crowded and not a seat to be had! All the seafood platters being served looked amazing, so I knew I was in the right spot! I was greeted as I approached the counter and was assisted with my take out and recommended popular party sack combinations. I ordered #3 which includes a lobster tail, one cluster or 1/2 lb snow crab, 1/2 lb shrimp (I recommend requesting Head Off!) a piece of corn, and 2-3 potatoes. I chose Cajun seasoning and, very hot spice. Warning you best be a very spicy hot lover, it was challenging but loved it! I have already returned for a second time, also #3 sack added extra corn $3 and extra potatoes $3. CrabnGo special seasoning and still extra hot! Delicious not as over the top as Cajun Hot! $47 and change with the added corn and potatoes. $42 and change without. Only one quarter piece of corn first order and two potatoes. Love it! It's going to be dangerous now that I've tried this Cajun Seafood that makes you feel like you are in the Bayou! And the heat that matches!

Definitely worthy of a destination meal on that basis alone, although it's not exactly ADA-friendly (you'd have to come over a pedestrian walkway or the pedestrian bridge over the river). The main seating is either on a smattering of outside café tables or within one of those three-season zipper-up enclosures, which would cut down on the enjoyment of the location if the weather isn't that nice. The American-style walk-up menu is limited, but was adequate. One does wish they had a few more ice cream options, but the basic ballpark fare is fine. The attached bathrooms at the end are pretty horrible; not sure if the restaurant management is actually responsible for them, but you are warned.

Can't beat the location: right on the river with a park next to it. There is an outdoor bar. Service is very friendly and efficient. Drink and food options are limited. Food is OK, although the nachos were great. Bathrooms needs remodeling or at least cleaning. Will come back for a drink, the view and the great concerts!

Cajun Cafe - Actually wasn't bad for mall Chinese food. (It's not real Cajun by the way)

And where are the typical Cajun entrees like gumbo? I dunno, but I wanted something after spending an hour chasing my toddler in the mall while he ate his snack so I stopped here. I had their 2 meats/2 sides deal, which for me consisted of General Tso chicken and bourbon chicken, green beans, and rice. The rice was edible, but not much else. It was hard, like either it hadn't been cooked properly or maybe it had sat in their fridge overnight and not reheated through. But it wasn't mushy, It was uniformly yellow, which indicated it never got near a wok to stir fry it. The green beans were wonderfully crunchy, though I got there early in the lunch rush. I would always take crisp veggies over mushy ones. The General Tso chicken was forgettable... sweet, not at all spicy, and very gloppy. But since it is readily visible through the glass window you know exactly what you are getting into, and I was willing to take those risks. The bourbon chicken was entirely forgettable, though someday I would love to go to a place to taste what real bourbon chicken is like. The price is right, the amount of food (and calories) is excessive, and there are no surprises. Well, if it was great for once that would be a nice surprise.

With the stellar four-piece fried chicken, I chose correctly in opting for the zingy red beans and rice as a side. The hush puppies were also very yummy, just either slightly overdone or too coated in breading, I couldn't tell which. The honey butter that came with them was delicious, though. My partner got the two piece chicken meal with mashed potatoes which he said was great, he just wished he got the four piece. I got the chicken and waffles, which I haven't had in YEARSSSS so I was very excited. The chicken was AMAZING, the waffle just regular. I am so happy I got to try this place! The restaurant was absolutely beautiful with a ton of history sprinkled throughout the place. One thing not appreciated was our waiter, he seemed off and was sweating over our food and kept touching my back and his nose. Everyone else seemed great though!
