A friend and I came here late one Friday night (around 7PM) for wings on a snowy night. The place was busy with take-out orders, and several groups were sitting at tables. It was loud, cramped, and a bit dark inside, which reminded me of a bar setting even though it wasn't at all set up like one. It was also cold, because every time the front door opened a cold breeze blew in. We ordered 30 bone-in wings and two drinks and it was over $50. I guess that is how it goes. The wings varied in size from normal to huge. No tiny wings in the bunch, and they were a good mix of flats and drumsticks. We got Buffalo, Barbecue, and Hawaiian flavors. I never got to try the Buffalo but the other two flavors were good. However, they were smothered in sticky sauce which got cloying after awhile and completely rendered your fingers disgusting. A roll of paper towels at the counter helped, though I had to go back after every couple of wings for more. The Hawaiian had a strong ginger flavor which was different and enjoyable. However, in sum I think they need to use less sauce in the future. Drinks were via the all-in-one soda machine that seems to have a million flavors on tap. It is right by the door and the area was crowded, so getting to the machine wasn't easy. It was fun to go out for wings, though it wasn't cheap. Ewwww! Poor service - I walked in to an empty store with several workers in the kitchen. I stood looking at them occasionally glancing my way while they busily prepared orders. Despite my standing under the PLACE ORDER HERE sign for greater than 6 minutes no one ever acknowledged my presence. I suppose one of the workers felt me staring a hole in his back so he turned around and our eyes met. I gestured to the cash register and the sign with a questioning expression. His sassy response was "Just a minute ma'am. There's only one person that works the register" Questionable food handling - as I waited for my order I watched EVERY SINGLE WORKER touch the order screen then handle the food with their bare hands. I even witnessed an incident where Mr. Only Cashier picked up a packed order bag, opened it, took out 2 orders of fries covered them with his whole bare hand and transferred them to a different order bag. He then sealed the 1st order back up, put on the shelf where it was, and got back to it. Two important takeaways: there is a sign posted about how serious they take hand washing Mr. Only Cashier did get some hand foam on a dispenser before he took my order. But he didn't get any on the return trip to the kitchen. 10/10 would not recommend! read more

I've passed this wing stop several times in my travels to Utica and today was the day I finally found my way in. We placed our order on the road, much like most places it's super convenient to order on the go. Walking in the place overall looked very clean, and I was greeted very quickly as every staff member was doing something. They checked on my order and told me it should be ready soon. We got plain, garlic parm, Louisiana and hot honey and fries. First off I wanna say it now. There is no such thing as boneless wings, it's chicken chunks (especially considering it's breaded like a nugget). All were breaded and cooked crispy. Garlic parm-the misses loved it Plain- yep just that Louisiana- faintly spicy , good flavor Honey- spot on sauce. Fries- those were a big hit. Everyone liked them. The bleu cheese needs some work, it's too thin and there's hardly any chunks in it. 3/10. Ranch- it's fair game to use on sauced chicken nuggets. If these were actual wings I'd have some real negative comments to add there about it being in the trash. ** Ranch has no place near real wings** But decent food. Well made , good flavor. read more

The food here is bad but it's not great. What is bad is waiting 40 minutes for a fried chicken sandwich. Absolutely unacceptable. There were 4 people working that we could see. One doing dishes one making wings and two women standing around. Horrible process. Someone needs to get in there and fix this or they'll be closed soon. We will never be back. The service here is amazing. They're always ready to help you. The food is amazing and very consistent. I love that the wings are not rubbery. I will recommend if you do want to get food but don't wanna have to wait up to 30 minutes for your food. I would recommend ordering and picking it up at the location. This place was definitely not worth the hype. My son had been begging us for months to go to wing stop and we finally had the chance while attending a football camp. Alright, this may not be a completely fair review, but it's from the heart. We recently moved to NY from CA, where Wingstops were as plentiful as palm trees. NY...not so much. We drove 2 hrs from our home to have these wings. We drove from Binghamton to Utica(with a detour to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown). We got our go-to, Louisiana Rub traditional wings, with fries. They were as delicious as we remember, and that's something I love about franchises. You know what you are getting. If I had driven 2 hrs to find that they used a different recipe or something, I might have rioted. But as it was, we were literally moaning while eating these wings. It was obscene and heavenly. I love Wingstop! The Cajun seasoning is my favorite. Not too spicy but the right amount of kick and dip it into their ranch and heaven for your taste buds. The fries...who puts sugar on fries and why haven't they put them on all the fries. They are drool worthy. The boneless are the way to go, not too much batter and a nice portion of white meat. They also added seasoned corn on the cob to the menu which it's soo tasty. The service is really good, the inside is clean however they are not open for dine in, but take out is really fast. The employees at this Wingstop quite literally STOLE my purse. I had left the purse on a chair by accident. There was no trash can available inside so I had thrown my scraps away outside and forgot that my fanny pack was on the chair. Once I realized I had left it there, I was already back home (an hour away) and I called over twenty times to just let them know I would be back for it the next day. I will attach an image below of how many times I called, but there were others on other people's phones as well. They did not answer, or if they did they would answer and hang up, one time they have did a loud screech into the phone and hung up. The next day, I called when they opened, after about 30 call attempts, I contacted the Utica Police. They went to the Wingstop where the employees said that it was never there and that they do not even have a lost and found. They also denied the cop a look at the footage. They have my key fab, $20, AirPods, my ID, and many other fun finds! Do not go here... ever. Not worth the soggy wings. The customer service is the only reason i am giving this place one star, the wings are soggy and the cajun flavor is just disgusting, they replaced my soggy wings i ordered lemon pepper this time they were still soggy but tasted like lemon pledge, my wife had the boneless wings bbq flavor and hawaiian , ginger is the only thing you taste from the hawaiian flavor, bbq was average at best you can get better boneless wings at an applebees.
