It was an online pickup order and they forgot most of the stuff we asked for (no basil, no hummus) and when we told them that they kept denying it. The staff here is always upbeat and it must be a good place to work as they have had a lot of the same people working here since I have started to come in. I am happy to be back in the real world and able to stop here for lunch again. Love the Kale Chicken Caesar and also the spicy Thia Chicken Rice Noodle bowls. So good I almost want to get one of each every time I come in but that would be just to much food even for me. Price has gone up a little but totally worth it. CoreLife is actually pretty good. There's a lot of good things on this menu and a number of different ways to go. I personally prefer the Korean/southwest flavors but I'm sure the others are decent as well. The whole establishment gives the impression of being "healthy" too which is nice. I haven't checked any nutritional information, and I doubt the amount of sauce i use is the recommended healthy level, so I don't want to oversell it. Still, it's nice to get food that feels healthy, whatever definition of healthy you want to use. I also have gotten catering from here which I would also recommend. Lots of food and very easy to do. Completely orderable online and plenty of sauce. One odd thing I find is typically their bowls are served with so many fresh ingredients the food is semi cold. It's intentional, I like it personally, but heads up. If you need piping hot food I'm sure their soup/stew is good. Food is good when they serve it correctly. I.e. mix the dressings and then pour on the salad so I'm not just getting oil. Or whatever is on top when it naturally separates. I've only in the area for less than a day and needed something healthy that could meet my dietary needs of gluten free and dairy free. Of course Yelp led me to Corelife. The location is super easy to find and tons of parking since it shares a parking lot with a grocery store among other stores. I had done my research online on what I wanted to get before I stopped here. This was helpful so I didn't stand around super clueless at the entrance figuring out my order. I ordered the spicy ginger steak green bowl. This includes a kale arugula mix, grass fed steak, green and red peppers, ginger, and sriracha. I didn't use the suggested dressing of miso sesame ginger but instead I asked for lime cilantro jalapeño vingeratte. I love spicy!!! Overall the salad was fresh and tasty. I thought the volume of the salad was on the smaller side compared to similar places I have been to like Sweetgreen in DC and Mad Greens in TX. I ate my salad and left still a little hungry. Please note they serve bread with the salad but I didn't get since not gluten free. From what I have seen of the local area, I think that this place is an excellent addition. I finally got to try this place. It didn't disappoint! There are SO many options you can choose from. Green bowls, grain bowls, broth bowls, or you can make your own bowl! I had no idea what to get, thankfully all of the employees are super friendly, helpful (and most of all patient lolll). There are unlimited fresh veggies, meats, and anything under the sun. I got a grain bowl with tons of fresh veggies and delicious chicken on top. Even their salad dressings are delicious.. and again SO MANY OPTIONS! It was so filling I had leftovers to bring home. This is one of my new favorite places! I've always been reluctant about chain restaurants that tout how fresh, authentic, great tasting the food is especially if it's carrying different food from all over the globe. To my surprise Core actually delivered. I got the Korean BBQ bowl and no, getting this is not a reasonable replacement for actually Korean food but it does a good job with keeping this as authentic as possible. The kimchi was good but not as spicy as traditional, the pork was tender, the pickled sprouts tasty, cucumber and other veggies were fresh and the rice was cooked well. I also got the Brussel sprout with cranberries and the sweet potatoes, both were amazing and the cranberry lemonade was bomb too. They also add a complimentary piece of wheat bread that was so good that I'd buy a while loaf if possible. The only complaint I had was that there wasn't a strong presence of spices that you'd find in a Korean dish and I was already informed that I'd have to season my food more to bring out the flavors better but the base ingredients didn't make it a project to make the dish flavorful. The old staff was soooo diligent but there is an all-new staff that doesn't work nearly as hard. We went at noon today, with plenty of time for them to have everything prepared. The staff was loudly gossiping and not paying attention. I had stale bread, cilantro they found in a bag in the back (was it even washed?) because all the herbs were crusty and gross in the container up front, a mysterious white chunk in my sauce, and dirt and dust covering where I'm supposed to get my silverware and sauce. Usually come here once a week because it's the only healthy option around but we are taking a break until they figure their staff out. read more

We've eaten here a few times now. We did take out once and it was ok, but much prefer eating onsite. The staff is friendly, and amazing when it comes to allergy concerns (we have an immno compromised kiddo with some pretty specific allergies to deal with). They change gloves automatically , ask questions, get help from management or other staff if they aren't sure, and are very good about double checking everything. For us, that alone is a reason to come back- having a safe place we can all eat at is huge! The Tuna Poke bowl is awesome, and we've loved a few different salad bowls as well. We haven't enjoyed the broth bowls yet (although I really wanted to!). The mushroom tofu one in particular is just tasteless. It has a "kick" of spice but no actual flavor, if that makes sense. Just adding a touch of salt helped but it needs more. Lots of kid options and they make adjusting and substituting so easy and painless it is a pleasure. We try not to adjust things but sometimes you just need to and they are great! The greens have always been fresh and crispy, and the tuna poke and other proteins have all been fresh as well. The Korean BBQ bowl was an epic fail for us- it was 100% spice and that's all you could taste (and we all like spicy lol). Other than that we've done pretty well with all the variations etc. Next time we plan to try the chicken tortilla bowl and see if that one is a winner for us. The lemonades are awesome and not to be skipped, and the dining room has been clean as well as the restrooms. The picture based menus while you wait to order are fantastic and helpful. Ordering is basically "Chipotle style", so easy to get there and ask questions and customize if needed. The food is decently fast and always fresh. I travel to Utica/NH every few months and it's difficult to find a modern, new, healthy place to dine. But the new addition of CoreLife offers just that. Love the ambiance, its nice and big inside and has a very zen feel. They offer a wide variety of salads, soups and broth, and you customize it anyway you want. My husband loves the Tuna Poke bowl. Serving sizes are huge, I wasn't able to finish mine. The broth can be a little bland, but nothing a little salt and siracha can't fix. You should also try their lemonades if you can, the beet lemonade had a very earthy, refreshing taste. read more

First time here and I didn't know what to choose! I ended up building a large bowl with green salad and quinoa salad. You can then select four "toppings" - broccoli, carrots, etc. Avocado is an up charge. Then pick protein (tofu is only vegetarian option), then dressing. As I got towards the end of the line i saw the harvest veggies and man they looked good. I should have asked for them as a side.... Maybe next time I'll get the plate. With a drink you're looking around 14 dollars, but for the portion size and quality of ingredients I have no complaints. Really something for everyone here. A healthy fast place. My soup was bland, I had to add salt, which was very unusual to me. I had the ginger steak soup. All soup are kind warm, not hot. So very good for immediate consumption. But during winter, it gets cold sooner. I asked my coworkers who ordered broccoli cheddar soup. Safe feel, and they were not impressed as well. This location is absolutely terrible. First, do not judge other Core Life locations based on this one. I was a frequent Core eater at this location since it is very close to my home. When it first opened it was very good. After a while, my orders were consistently wrong, even though they were specified through the online ordering. Then I started getting crunchy rice, dirty lettuce, and disgustingly brown and old Avocado. I ate Core one or more times a week, when it started going downhill, I kept trying, hoping it would go back to the way it was. Unfortunately the last time was so bad, with missing ingredients (that were the regular ingredients of what I had ordered, not even my own specifications) and hard crunchy rice, I finally gave up. What nightmare, how are the ancient grains they didn't put the ancient grains in the salad I ordered with ancient grains. With some employee running around showing off his hairdo everybody's messing around. My wife ordered a power plate with steak and potatoes it was burnt, cold and so was the over cooked purple rice. I asked the person at the front what their ancient grains looked like to see if it was in my salad - no quinoa was in my salad. I asked to talk to the manager and she had a smirk on her face and thought the whole thing was a joke - then it all made sense to me why the help is so bad, because the manager is even worse. Ate at core life for the first time today. I made my own salad bowl. It was amazing! They had a very good variety of different toppings, which is great for a picker eater like me. I ended up ordering a spinach salad with dried cranberries, cucumbers, avocados, tofu, and chicken. I ordered their homemade 0% fat Greek yogurt ceaser dressing. It was soooooo good! I'm only giving a 4 star because I didn't try any of their homemade teas or lemonades. I definitely will next time though! I am so happy Core Life opened up in New Hartford! I have been to other locations in Syracuse, Rochester, and Vestal but was especially impressed with the customer service here. Their healthy, plant focused bowls are such a nice change from the other options around New Hartford. The food: I ordered the shiitake mushroom and roasted tofu bowl this time, adding a squeeze of lime and sriracha. Last time, I tried the sriracha ginger tofu ancient grain bowl, adding edamame and lime juice: They were both full of brightly colored, fresh, vegetables, fresh hand grated ginger and a tasty marinated tofu. The only critique really was that the lemongrass in the broth bowl was a little hard - I'm not sure if that's just how sliced lemongrass comes? As someone who is also trying to cut down on salt, I was impressed that they have taken measures to reduce salt in their foods. You can certainly add it afterwards if you wish, along with more Sriracha! Customer service: The staff was very friendly and attentive when I originally ordered my bowl. They're happy to explain the menu. This time, I realized something was missing from my bowl. And as I was handing it over the glass to have them add it, the bowl dropped everywhere. They were SO nice about it, cleaning it up and whipping up a whole new bowl for me in seconds. They refused my offers to pay for the second bowl as it was technically my fault it fell. The manager came over later to talk to me about the bowl, as if I needed anything else, and explain their app at this location. Great spot for healthy plant focused food!! read more

We finally tried CoreLife and must say it exceeded what we expected. I had the SPICY CHICKEN AND ANCIENT GRAINS and it was *DELICIOUS*. Warm quinoa, antibiotic-free chicken, sriracha, shredded kale, broccoli, carrots, raw beets, and scallions. I was afraid it would taste like cardboard, but it was great. I gave it an A+ Had it with Lime Cilantro Jalapeno Vinaigrette Dressing .. $9 My wife has STEAK, BACON AND BLEU CHEESE - she added celery and switched her dressing to cucumber basil. It's a chopped romaine and mesclun mix, grass fed steak, bacon, cranberries, walnuts, tomatoes and gorgonzola cheese. Also an A+ Served with Utica Bread. They will make it any way you want and have about 50 options. Drinks were flavor packed and ice cold, I have Apple Green Tea and my wife had Beet Lemonade .. both outstanding. We were really surprised at how good everything was and the employees let us taste some stuff in little sample cups. We wish they had two person high top tables - they do have outside tables but they were all buried in snow today. We did not try the soup this time. This was the worst lunch I've ever had. The chicken noodle "soup" was cold and flavorless. I got mashed potatoes to replace it, but they were even worse. We used to love Corelife but are disappointed that it is becoming less vegetarian/vegan friendly. Today we stopped in to try the Naan Tacos and asked for tofu instead of the meat. Corelife has done this on their other menu options since we began going there. I was told they aren't doing that for the tacos. I'd like to know the reason. I'm quite certain tofu costs Corelife less than meat. If it doesn't, charge a few cents more! We also used to love the roasted brussel sprouts but after we got them home realized there was bacon in them. Eating at Core last week was a new experience. It's a new location with friendly staff and a pretty decent menu. Location - Geographically, it's a good spot. In the near future, though, this parking lot is going to be a nightmare once Texas Roadhouse opens. Service - as a new location, the staff is all new, so some mistakes were made, but they get a pass on that for now. They were all cheerful and pleasant, which made for a great ordering experience. Atmosphere - fair warning, this is cafeteria style, similar to Moe's and others. On the one hand, it's great because they fully customize your order. On the other hand, there were so many staff behind the line and so many options it gets a little tedious. It's fine for lunch, but not a great atmosphere for dinner. Otherwise, the location is very clean and comfortable. Food - the food was really good. Portion sizes of salads and broth bowls are good for a meal. As mentioned above, you can fully customize your order, ensuring that you only get what you want. There are plenty of options of very fresh ingredients. I'll be back, but not likely often. read more

$8 for a bland, cold cup of soup? I had to ask if they intentionally served their food at room temperature since I know some think its unhealthy to eat hot or cold food. The server (not really a server since this is self serve) took my soup and brought me a slightly warmer one, but still not hot. I ordered the chicken coconut curry soup, and maybe there was a coconut and a jar of curry paste in the kitchen when the broth was made but it had no taste and was not the color of the photo on the menu. I even asked if I got the right thing because it was hard to tell what flavor it was. I took most of the nasty slimy rice noodles out and added sesame hot sauce to give it flavor, but still felt like it was a rip off. First and last time eating at this place. Yuck! read more

This place is heaven sent!! My husband introduced me to this place because how amazing his food was. I tried my first tuna poke bowl and it was amazing!!! My husband got the southwest bowl with no chicken and they let him sub two more ingredients for his meal. I love the innovative fresh idea behind this restaurant. Ingredients taste sooo fresh I love the dressings and don't get me started with the beet lemonade. I decided on that one by everyone's recommendation on here. Was just okay. Had the broccoli cheddar soup.it was on the bland side had to add salt and pepper. Also not a lot of broccoli, the carrots were hard and it had celery in it. I wanted to get the chicken Cobb salad but they didn't have any ripe avocados so they got the steak bacon blue.
