One of the best American food restaurants that we have ever been to. The food was very fresh and tasty. We got ribeye steak )comes with 2 sides), fried catfish (also with 2 sides) and bison burger (1 side). Not only portions were big - they were tasty to the last bit. The complimentary bread that comes as appetizer is another finger licking addition to this full meal. Service is top notch too. After cooking for two days to prepare for Thanksgiving, I thought we would take a break and go out for stead at the local steak place. We've tried it before. It was never superb but not really bad either. Service was pleasant when we came in, gracious in seating us close by (I am handicapped), and pleasant when taking our order. Unfortunately, the very young waitress had no idea what a "Pittsburghed" steak was (charred outside, very rare inside). After 40 minutes wait time, once it finally arrived, it was clear that the kitchen had no idea, either. I asked to speak to the manager. He was truculent and defensive about the 40 minutes wait (it took another 5 minutes for my companion's meal to arrive. And after all that, the steak was tough. My wife and I stopped in Whitehouse TN as we were heading north. A quick review of Yelp pointed us I this direction. A short drive from Hampton Inn, it appeared to be the place as there were lots of locals! Our waitress was energetic and friendly. We truly appreciated her service while seated on the patio. The gas heaters made it very comfortable! My wife and I ordered adult beverages. They came out fairly quickly. Glad to say that my Manhattan was perfectly mage! Thank you! That said, my wife's Old Fashioned was somewhat more of a concoction than a traditional cocktail. Muddling cherries and simple syrup threw the flavor and balance off. We ordered our meals, a sirloin steak with asparagus and a house salad for me and chicken tacos for my wife. The house salad was fresh and delicious. My steak was fairly good requiring only slight seasoning. Some of my asparagus was stalky, not properly trimmed. My wife enjoyed her chicken tacos after seasoning. Very nice place. Good food and excellent, polite and friendly service. The portions are plentiful and made from scratch. Nice looking bar with 2 TV's. Only downside is it's kinda open to the rest of the restaurant and the patrons were VERY loud while watching the game. All in all a good place if you're in the area. read more

The conversation went like this: "Want to grab dinner?" "Yeah, what would you like?" "A steak. I see a place in Hendersonville that has good ratings called Lyncoya Cafe and one up north of you in White House called the Colorado Grill" This is the point where I admit my complete ignorance and that I accepted the idea of Colorado Grill. No, it is not really a horror story, just a bit of a disappointment as I was thinking local spot instead of a chain. Three things made the decision for us: 1) Closer to her place, 2) No traffic, and 3) They have Prime Rib. The atmosphere is interesting. Reminds me a bit of the Fort in Colorado, as you walk in to a BFE: Big Friendly Elk. Okay, not so friendly as he is stuffed and just sits there and eternally brays silently at the guests. Televisions on the wall around the joint. Feels pretty chainish (yeah, my ignorance still showing here). Order Prime Rib, rare to medium rare. My friend orders salmon. I would normally say "look at the pictures here", but at 6:30 PM on a Friday, guess what? (dum dum dum) They are completely out of rare to medium rare prime rib. Nothing but well done. So, I order a Ribeye instead (same cut, different cooking style). Let's get to the points before going any further, as the points are based on the restaurant and not the bits below (which are more for management than you, the reader). I picked a 3 star as this is a typical chain, just like all of the O'RubyBackAppleHornTGILogans chain restaurants (like how I did that?). The food may be excellent for many diners, and I apologize if saying it is average sound like an insult, as it is not. It just means it is fine and nothing special, like most chains. Now to the bits I think can improve. First, the waiter had no clue the Zinfindel on the menu was a blush wine. He also ordered Chardonnay and returned with a Cabernet. Nothing bothering to me, but alcohol knowledge is a big part of being a server (at least from my experience years ago). No skin off my nose, but some people would be apopletic about this. Second (see pictures), a strip is not a ribeye. That was most likely a kitchen issue, but a waiter in a steakhouse, chain or not, should know what kinds of meat they serve. Again, training. Again, no points knocked off. BTW, for a chain, the Strip was nice. Now, the big question: Would I go back? I would say no, but I live far enough away it would have to be visiting my friend and her wanting to revisit. I am also a bad person to ask, unless I live close, as my norm is to keep trying everything rather than focus on repeat visits. My thoughts? If you are looking to stay in the White House area, this was the only steakhouse I saw. The food is decently priced, so if a steak is on your agenda (or you get there early enough (5 PM?) to get Prime Rib ... go for it). They also cooked the Strip Steak on point, so they know how to cook their meat. If you like chains, the steak has a nice criss cross char of an open flame, which I personally prefer to flat grill. read more

Megan was our server and she is so delightful! We had bbq pulled pork nachos, salmon dip with pita bread and cheese shrimp for appetizers and half of rack of ribs plate, 2 catfish dinners and a Cajun pasta! All the meals had sides and very, VERY delicious! I would highly recommend the restaurant not only do you get a very decent helping of food but it is very tasty and be much like home cooked food. The staff was wonderful the restaurant is clean. ( yes bathroom too) We will be back for the prim rib. I suggest that if you want prime rib that you come early because they run out fast so I'm sure it's good. read more

Colorado Grill continues to be one of my faves! Got the Prime Rib again tonight and it's still perfect. I like to drown it in a'jus and slather their creamed horseradish on each bite. Felt the need to write another review because our server tonight was phenomenal. Hannah was speedy, attentive and super nice. What stood out is that the table behind us received something at the wrong temp.... Hannah apologized, stated she'd get a new one out asap and even checked w the other guest if their dish was good. My brother moved to the area last Friday, the 24th. We took a chance on a Friday night at 5. Packed parking lot but, to our surprise no waiting. We got right in. My burger was excellent! Yummy food, hubby had the fried shrimp and broccoli casserole and salad. And I had the Rocky top chicken with the beer cheese soup and broccoli casserole. All delicious. However when we 1st arrived we had trouble finding the front door because we had to park down at the other end of the parking lot. When we entered, there was no one at the hostess station so we waited for a few minutes and still no one came so I walked over to the kitchen area and saw five young servers hanging out, and I asked them if anyone could help us be seated they looked at me like I had three heads, but eventually we got seated to the furthest booth away from the kitchen. We did not see a server for about five minutes so again we had to look for one, and there was a lady who was about ready to clean a table. She seemed overwhelmed and possibly in pain, but she came over when we asked her to and went and tried to get someone to serve us, which ended up being her, which was very nice of her to do that. If she had not done that we may never have gotten served as no one ever came back over to check on us. we like the atmosphere we did like our server Connie and we did like the food but the rest of the staff was Non-attentive, almost as if we didn't exist. For appetizers, I'd definitely recommend the fried green beans or fried green tomatoes- both are delicious. You also get bread & I could've filled up on the apps, bread & side salad alone before our food even came... I got the Bourbon Street Salmon which came with a side salad & i chose a loaded sweet potato as a side (came with sweet butter & brown sugar). We had read great reviews about the. Colorado Grill so when we were passing through White House TN we decided to have lunch there. We were seated right away and the we enjoyed the western themed art on the walls while waiting for our food. My husband ordered the country fried steak and mashed potatoes with fried okra. I ordered the pasta siena with chicken, and a side salad. My husband said his dish was delicious - flavorful and a crispy coating. The mashed potatoes were plentiful and the okra wasn't greasy. My dish, on the other hand, was hard to swallow - literally. The salad had brown spots on the lettuce and a rotten spot on the cucumbers. The pasta was nicely done al dente, and liberally topped with chicken, capers and olives. No sauce of any kind. The capers were the only thing I could taste but decided after the first dry bite that I just couldn't eat it. I asked the server if there was a sauce they could put on it. A few minutes later Kyle, the manager, came to our table. He looked at the salad and apologized, and offered to bring a fresh salad. He also offered to bring another dish of my choosing. I chose the chicken Alfredo. The chicken was tasty, as was the Alfredo sauce. The fresh salad was also good. Kyle didn't charge us for my meal. He didn't have to do that since I ate the chicken Alfredo, so we appreciated his generous customer service. What could have been an occasion for a bad review, Kyle handled it graciously and without excuses. We will now give this location of Colorado Grill a second chance when we are in the area. read more

My first impression of this place was the huge stuffed moose standing there. The service was very good, the staff, polite and friendly. We were seated immediately in a booth where I was making eye contact with the moose. The menu had ample choices. They brought a very nice freshly baked warm loaf of bread. We both ordered salads with our meals. I had the fish with a sweet potato, both delicious. The food came out immediately after the salad, which was a bit too quickly but tge food stayed hot while we continued with our salads. Prices were high but typical. read more
