Stopped by this gas station and was pleasantly surprised! The woman gave us a sample and it was so good we got the three chicken tender box with biscuit and a Diet Coke for the road. The chicken is definitley better than KFC, crispy, and warm. The bathroom is probably the cleanest in all gas stations - note that you do have to buy something to use it which is maybe the reason why it's so nice. Highly recommend! read more

Service is fine. This place is located in a gas station convenience store. The food definitely felt like it was prepared at least a day prior. Wings were lukewarm and dry and the wedges were fine. Just waited in line 20 minutes while they were supposedly doing a shift change! While 5 customers were standing there waiting, one of the employees boxed up all the chicken thighs! The people were rude. I re-filled my soda and they charged me 4.69. So 1 piece of chicken a small mash potatoes and soda came to 14.32. Got back home and the chicken had the texture of leather and did not taste very well. The mash potatoes were very good. Should of gone to KFC. read more

Stopped in here last week. They advertise outside 3 pieces of Chicken strips for $6 and when we went in the woman at the counter says how many chicken strips would you like? 3, 4, 6 or 9 pieces? So I thought about it and told her I wanted 6 pieces. They charged me $16 and their receipt says all sales final. I told her she overcharged me and she said you didn't order two orders of the 3 pieces, you ordered 6 pieces. Oviously this is a bait and switch advertisement. They don't have any morals to ask you if you want two orders of the $6 special, instead they charge you a higher amount. I spoke with the manager and he was rude and told me thats the way it is and have a great day. In other words, no refunds, get lost. I will be forwarding a complaint to the State Attorney General's office for false advertising and bait and switch. read more

So I have had Krispy Krunchy chicken at other locations and I absolutely swear by this chicken spot. Biscuits are amazing. Chicken at this spot is really hit and miss. It really depends on when they cook the chicken. Last few times the chicken was old and you have to beg for sauces usually. They will charge you for extras in case you need more. I usually get strips and and sides and usually the strips are on the older side. If they have any made the boneless wings are amazing I was blessed to get a fresh batch. By far the best I've had. Tried the chicken sandwich and it was terrible and beyond old. Since I've had questionable experiences the last few times I may not be returning as there is another place in the valley that offers their chicken. read more

This place is great chicken for a gas station. We stopped on our way to Indio and would definitely go back when in the area. The biscuit are so good. The staff extremely sweet, and they even let us sample a piece of chicken before we ordered! The cajun tenders were so flavorful, but not spicy like we imagined, which was great for me since I am not a big spicy person. We got 8 Cajun tenders, a Small potato wedge, 2 small mac n cheeses, 3 biscuits, and a side of pickles. It fed three adults and we even had leftover. The Mac was so creamy and the noodles were cooked to perfection. Wedges were also pretty good. Biscuits were a perfect texture. The original sauce reminded us of thousand island and was so delicious on the chicken. The ranch was tangy and great with the wedges. The BBQ was sweet and smoky. As far as gas station chicken joints go, this place is elite! I had been noticing the signs for Krispy Krunchy Fried Chicken at various Shell stations but never stopped in until finally we saw one at a Mobil station in the desert and said lets give it a try. They have all sorts items - chicken tenders, buffalo/bbq wings, fries, onion rings, mac and cheese, red beans and rice, fried pork and rice balls (takes an extra 7 minutes for those). If I had to dine a gas station, I would go to one with a Krispy Krunchy - good stuff. read more
