The price was reasonable, especially considering the amount of food you get. It is a bit heavy on the rice-to-chicken ratio, but still tasty. I think I would like a little more sauce next time. I believe their main staple here is the chicken teriyaki bowls, though they have other options as well. My bf and I both got chicken bowls which comes with rice and veggies. It was a huge portion! I ordered a teriyaki chicken bowl and what came out was a bowl of rice, vegetables and as far as I can tell, unseasoned chicken with a very light... and I mean light teriyaki sauce. I don't even think they use teriyaki on the grill. I could be wrong. I'm not sure what kind of oil they use but it seems like a pretty healthy bowl and it is filling. But I'd like it more if they could actually infuse some flavor into it. It relies solely on the teriyaki sauce for flavor and the sauce is pretty weak. I came for a quick lunch while wfh from my hotel. It was interesting. The day prior I called ahead and tried to order and the first thing they said was it would be a 30+ minute wait. The next day I walked in at the same time. My food was ready in 10 minutes. They are disorganized. They couldn't keep someone at the front counter even though they had two people not cooking. The food is constantly cooked throughout the day, but it's not made to order. Not sure why it would take 30 minutes to make one entree, or even 10 minutes when all they have to do is scoop rice, vegetables, and chicken into a take out container. I had the chicken bowl, which is more of a plate in how it's served and the portion. It's unlike any teriyaki chicken I've ever had, and not in a good way. It reminded me of egg foo young or chicken stir fry. It's chopped chicken that's mixed with celery, broccoli, carrots, and cabbage. The vegetables were finely chopped and probably started frozen. It was all served over rice. The chicken was chewy and dry. The teriyaki sauce was bland. Being in Seattle and on the west coast for many years, I've had my fair share of teriyaki chicken from a variety of different places it's typically 1-2 chicken breast that are sliced, but you can still see the shape of the breast, and served over rice. The chicken is moist and the sauce is flavorful. If I lived in PS and was craving chicken teriyaki I'd probably just go to Panda Express or a Japanese restaurant. read more

Came on a Friday at 12pm. Place was packed. I've been curious to try this place as I'm a big fan of chicken teriyaki bowls in general. One thing that blew my mind was the customer service. The store operator opened the door for guest to leave. Then one of the older ladies, I'm assuming his wife starting greeting everyone that was eating. I've never seen this at a mom and pop restaurant. It was very wholesome to see. A very welcomeing experience. The reason for the three stars is the quality of the food. The chicken was bone dry and bland. It almost had a "tuna-like" texture to it. Compared to other teriyaki bowls it was very chunky and just plain. I found myself adding more sauce just to taste something. Typically Chicken teriyaki bowls will have longer strips of chicken with skin on it off. You could tell it was a much more cheaper type of chicken. The rice and the veggies were on point. I saw the older lady actually cutting up the chicken by hand so I knew it was fresh but it was just incredibly dry. Other than that, the restaurant was very clean, over the top customer service, temperature of food was good but their bread-n-butter just missed the mark. In conclusion I may come back here just to try the chicken again in the event they may have just had a bad batch or are too busy to dress it up. 08/30/2021 @5pm- I called in, to place a Togo order. I explain to the person on the phone I had never eaten there before and what the most popular item was he said to me it was the chicken teriyaki rice and steamed vegetables. I had my service animal with me at the time. When I walked into the restaurant there was a customer before me so I waited behind him with distance with my Service dog. The woman cooking the food in the kitchen yells across the establishment saying I cannot be in there with my animal! I said back saying she is a service dog- she rolled her eyes at me!! When I tried to explain to the person taking my money for the order that next time they might want to handle that situation a little bit better that this was my first time and this experience has left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I'm assuming this older gentleman was the owner of the establishment, he made excuses and didn't not apologize. I still paid for my meal and I left. Please see my photo below for the meal that I was given- I see pieces that look like broccoli maybe a couple shreds of carrot in there and celery all of which I can pretty much guarantee was frozen! Here's the best part of the story, and I mean that sarcastically. The person in front of me , prior to my interaction,doing business with had no MASK ON, yet my service animal was a big to do! I should say, that it's required in Palm Springs California to wear a mask in doors!!! I will never go here again. 8/31/2021- @4:32pm- I just received a response from the owner who wasn't even there when this whole transaction happened trying to claim that my order picking up time was 45 minutes after the 15 minute time frame I was given well the jokes on you sir I ordered from the parking lot of your establishment! This has absolutely nothing to do with the way I was treated and my service dog! Even showed the gentleman at the counter her identification card!!! My food complaint, was when I opened it- virtually no vegetables in there (1/2 a piece of broccoli and a few carrots ), your sauce is gelatinous and your chicken is overcooked, your rice is disgusting!!! This was just icing on the cake! Took three bites and that was it!! I was treated rudely by your woman cooking in the kitchen which seems to be an issue because there's more complaints about her! And all I did was walk into your establishment and try to pick up my order your cook screamed at me about my dog that is what started this process so you need to look at your stuff and figure out the attitude that they have and work it out on your end.
