I love this place. They have never done me wrong. They take so much care when doing lashes. I have never had lashes stuck to more than one lash with any of the lash artists. I have never had any irritation. I have never had a bad experience. They are pricey but honestly you get what you pay for and I think they are well worth it. I have tried cheaper places and regretted it and had to ask for the artists here to fix another artists work. I will no longer look any further. They are the best. They were able to accommodate and fit me in on a Friday. My appointment was scheduled for 2pm and ended at 5:30pm. Pros: Service is friendly. The waiting area is chic. Shop is clean. After your service, they give you a custom made eyelash brush and instructions for after care. Cons: Parking is limited, narrow stalls. Tables that you lie on for your service does not feel secure, felt wobbly when getting on. Need front facing photos to showcase lash styles on website or social media pages. Expensive. Started to see fallout within the first few days. I'm from Vegas and had my lashes done there prior to coming here. I needed a fill during my stay in Hawaii. I explained to the gentlemen on the phone that I wanted a fill and understood that since my lashes were done from another salon that I may need to do a removal then full set. I was ok with that. I had mega volume lashes at the time and the appointment was set for Ready to Wear(RTW) lashes. I told the lash tech that I wanted my lashes full and fluffy, she recommended Designer lashes which is a step up from RTW. I paid $243 for the full set, removal $31.95, $12.93 for tax and 15% tip, total bill was $330.54. In my honest opinion, I would not return due to the cost of the service for what you get. The Designer set looked more like a Classic set. Not the full volume set I had anticipated. Overall, the lash tech did an amazing job and lashes turned out great for a Classic set look. It's like they know we ladies want to pull out our phone and take a selfie after we get our lashes done! The receptionist greeted me and asked if I wanted a snack or water. I waited for a few minutes and was greeted right on time with Chelsey. Customer Service/ Lashes: WARNING. Once you lash, you can't stop. I have already been back for a relash because they are SO PRETTY!! Anyhow, Chelsey is awesome. She gave some time to educate on proper care for the lashes before I my initial appointment. She also looked over some lash curl styles with me. I asked what she suggested and I have not changed it since. I actually got compliments from another lasher who wanted the same style I have. UPDATE: I was going to remove my review after getting a refund however, it seems the owner is being argumentative in response to my review. With that, I'll just leave it. What ever happen to good customer service and keeping it at "the customer is always right?" In addition, for the record, I had to call back a few times before being able to speak to someone. FYI....they don't have voicemail if they can't pick up the phones. Also, if Kalei had told me my lashes were damaged from the previous set, she should have been honest and said to regrow my lashes first, prior to having her put on a brand new set. This was never brought up. Instead, she put on a new set and once it was done, it ended up looking like I didn't even have extensions on. ‍ Retention rate seems to be a problem at this place too. All the good lash artists have left. Perhaps it's time to look into why this is happening and how they can retain customers that have been with them for a while. read more

As you head east on the H-1 freeway, don't take the king street cut off because you will miss the entrance to the parking lot. Best bet would be to take Bingham street cutoff instead. Free parking is located right in front of the building. They share the building with a fitness studio too, but there's always parking when I go. My lash artist is Emily Franzella. She is my favorite lash artist. She always makes me feel comfortable and at home. Sometimes I'm so relaxed that I fall asleep and wake myself up with a snore or twitch, but she doesn't mind! ;) I usually get the ready to wear lash set, which is more for a daily natural look. For my wedding, I did the couture set and I really did love it, but it's a little too much for me for normal daily wear. I definitely would do it again for a special occasion though. I went to see Kristin for her Ready to Wear collection, 80-100 semi-permanent faux mink extensions per eye. She started off the consultation with a discussion of the lash extension application process and maintenance. We talked about my exercise regiment and while it doesn't include strenuous activity, she has many clients with active lifestyles and they can resume activities after 48 hours after the extensions are applied. It's important not to get the extensions wet the first 24 hours in order for the adhesive to set so plan accordingly. We discussed what kind of look I wanted to achieve. She explained the different types of curls of eyelash extensions and the varying lengths. Having a small eye, I wanted to add length to the middle of my eye, hoping to open my eyes a bit. I admit, I may have used the words "younger" and "cute" to describe the look I wanted. We decided on a D curl with the longest length being 12 mm. Kristin can use up to 5-6 different lengths on one eye. For a more natural look to enhance the eye, she will use 2-3 varying lengths so the possibilities are endless. The session for the Ready to Wear collection takes about 1.5 hours and was so relaxing that I immediately fell asleep. Everyone is so busy these days that taking some quality R&R time is really hard to do. Consider eyelash extensions at Kristin Wood's lash studio as multi-tasking! Kristin also offers 2 other collections in addition to the Ready to Wear collection: the Designer collection and the Couture collection which basically is more extensions per eye. When I saw my before and after pictures, I was stunned! I knew my lashes were pretty puny, but I didn't realize how much in comparison. What shocked me was that even though the extensions quadrupled my natural length and volume, they didn't look ridiculous. They looked gorgeous. The extensions really soften my look and not only do I love it, but I have received a lot of positive feedback from my very honest friends and family. They are also amazed how natural the lash extensions look and I have had at least three friends comment that they like these extensions much better than my previous ones. Did I mention they were honest? They felt that the Kristin Wood lashes looked more natural and that the color of the lash looked darker which made for a bigger impact. It was great feedback for me because it was the look I wanted to achieve. I love that I can skip eye makeup all together and still look put together. These extensions have saved me a lot of time. When I went to see Kristin 3 weeks ago, I didn't have the intention of scheduling any re-lash services (recommended every 2-3 weeks). I usually get extensions for a special event or for a vacation and then I get them removed when it's over. But being a busy Mom of 2, I just love how much time these lashes have saved me in the mornings. So today I had my re-lash service done by Angie, who is awesome, just like Kristin. The session is about 45 minutes (still long enough for a nap) and the cost is $65. Think of eyelash extensions as the new mani/pedi but with a bigger impact on your busy life. One thing that did take some time getting used to was not rubbing my eyes. But being a Mom of a germy preschooler, it's actually been a blessing in disguise as I'm now much more cautious about touching my face. If you ever are ready to get the extensions removed, as long as you are an existing client, they will remove them at no charge. I've been to another place where they charged me $25 for removal so it's nice that Kristin Wood offers that service here. Kristin also offers cosmetic tattoos, but she currently has a waiting list, which to me, speaks volumes. My experience has been really wonderful and it's one of those things that you must try for yourself. After getting my lashes done it looked so pretty. I was so excited and followed their instructions on how to care for them. Didn't get them wet for the first 24 hours. Used the lash cleaner. When rinsing, dab lightly to dry Brushed the lashes downward with their brush. And I don't have an active lifestyle. But after day one I found 5 lash bunches that fell out and more each day. By day 3 I had over 20 bunches that fell out, mostly from one eye. Now I know that's not natural lash shedding. I think that was just poor quality or in sufficient cleaning of my lashes before they applied the extensions. In either case, it was just a disappointment for the price paid. Updating this post to 5 stars. Immediately after my post, the staff at Kristin Wood called me. They apologized and assured me that this is not the norm. I'm disappointed to have to do this since the people are super nice and friendly. But I need to write a review update. I love my lashes and getting them done, but have decided to stop. The person I used to go to left and things haven't been the same. My appointments are harder to make, meaning unless I can go in the day which most people with M-F jobs can't, it's hard to find a time. Also the appointment keeps changing, they're nice and always let me know. But the times and lash artist keep changing which I'm disappointed with. The other thing is, more than 75 percent fell out within a couple weeks. I didn't do anything different and was surprised since they have kept so well the last few months. I know they have new lash artists and a new location so I'm not sure if this has any effect. I'm not sure what's going on but I hope they are able to get their scheduling together and their lash retention gets better. I love their locations and service otherwise. I had the best experience with Kristin Wood Lashes (talked to Kristin's husband to set up the appointment, and the lashes were applied by Tyler). I contacted Kristin Wood Lashes to inquire about getting eyelash extensions for my wedding in Hawaii. I was pretty nervous because I had never had eyelash extensions before, and I wouldn't be able to do a trial run since I live elsewhere (in a place where the eyelash salons weren't used to working with Asian eyes). Kristin's husband immediately calmed my fears and answered all my questions. A few days before my wedding, I went in to get my eyelash extensions. Tyler was extremely nice and listened to my description of how I wanted my lashes to look and any concerns I had (such as one eye being slightly bigger than the other). I told her I wanted my eyes to look bigger, but I didn't want the lashes to look unnatural (basically I wanted natural-looking lashes that would be very enviable if they were actually my lashes). Tyler suggested going with short lashes in a reverse cat-eye map. My lashes looked BOMB! To ease my mind because this was done a few days before the wedding, though, Kristen had told Tyler that they'd make space for me if I needed an appointment for any adjustments. I didn't end up needing another appointment because I didn't have any irritation, and I loved how the lashes looked. The only thing that makes me sad is that this studio is in Hawaii which is not where I live because I'd definitely be back many more times if I lived nearby. I always go to Angela. If she's booked up, I'll wait until she's available. She's THAT amazing at doing your lashes. The boutique is very cute, and everyone there is very nice. They put three extensions on per natural lash, and that's what creates the fullness. You can pick whichever length you want, and the price is the same. The difference in price is the fullness; there are three levels of fullness. When I first started coming here, I always got the Ready-to-Wear set. I LOVED them, and those are already very full! (See pictures.) Now when I go, I get the Designer set. It's one step up, and is just a little bit fuller, which I love. There is one more level, and I believe those are called the Couture set. Maybe I'll get the Couture set for my graduation photoshoot next May. Ultimately, I want to give them each a try, and I trust that Angela will be great each time. She always does a fantastic job! MOST AMAZING LASHES PLACE!! After seeing my friends amazing lashes done by their intern as practice (they were seriously amazing and from an INTERN!) I knew everyone there would do a beautiful job and they did!! I've been all over the places for my lashes, Japan, Taiwan, all over Hawaii, and no one gets me this obsessed with my extension!! Their price can seem scary but it's totally worth it! You can also start with the very basic Ready to Wear set which is only $150 (initial appt, which is same with everywhere you go to get QUALITY LASHES) to get a feel of it and upgrade later. Simply the best! My experience with Lashes has not been the best. Either I love the person doing my lashes but they don't seem to stay more than a week or I don't mind the lashes but the person was not very friendly nor clean , and expensive on top of that. To be honest... one reason I didn't go to Kristin Woods was that I thought they were going to be too expensive, but... the other places I went get you in at a decent price then drastically go up in pricing each time I've went back. (This has happened to me at two different places. Like a $22 difference from the first time which is a big difference. AND... I needed more fills so in the end even more expensive.) As you know if you get lashes, once you start you feel stuck and the in-betweens can be a painful wait. I decided to give Kristin Woods a try as so many of my flight attendant friends seemed to love them! Well... I now love them too! KW is NOT pricey as I thought... (ALL lashes are basically pricey in general). They are VERY clean and didn't break any of my real lashes and that was so important to me. And the owners are just amazing and kind to top it off! I will def be getting my fills there moving forward. Can't beat the free valet at Velocity and then a coffee next door at Italica on my way out! Perfect self-care day! So this has been a long time coming. I've been getting my lashes done here for the past couple months and must say that I enjoy every bit of the experience. Usually for people like me who have an extremely short attention span, have a hard time sitting still for anything, but when I lie there and get my lashes done, I feel as though for once in my life, I can actually feel at peace. The lash artists here do everything they can to make you feel as comfortable as possible and I basically fall asleep in those two and a half blessed hours and feel rejuvenated and absolutely beautiful once I wake up and see myself in the mirror. I used to be so insecure to take off my makeup in front of anyone something as simple as natural-looking extensions has changed my perspective on all of that. I tossed my THICK $2 drug store falsies and mountains of BB cream. I am learning to love my skin, freckles, blemishes, and all. I've always wanted to try eyelash extensions and I've been searching for months on the right place to do them. Let's be honest, I've seen/heard so many lash horror stories I didn't want to spend upwards of $100 with something that could give me some kind of reaction, or have me looking like I fell out of a Vegas night Club at 3am. I've stalked artists on IG, I've done physical research of various Companies/lash artist though looking at friends lashes. I decided on Kristen Wood, because of her reputation. I knew I could trust anyone trained under her expertise. There are many talented artists out there but I was looking for a spa-like atmosphere in which I could have confidence in the cleanliness and standards of business. Right when I walked in to the salon I knew this is exactly what I was looking for. Everything was clean and chic. The receptionist greets you with a friendly smile and quickly asks if you'd like some water. You're given a waiver form as well as a questionnaire. Ansley was my lash artist and she was amazing. I didn't know the correct lash terms or anything about lashes and she walked me right through everything. I brought her a picture of my favorite pair and she matched it to the best of her ability. Stephanie SAVED my lashes. I wanted to start out by saying that I have done lash extensions multiple times in the past few years and have tried out different lash artists but the last time was almost two years ago. Unfortunately, I took the risk of trying out a new place in town with the company's apprentice, and I guess I had overestimated her skill level. My lashes were clumpy, glue everywhere, assymetrical, the lashes on my right eye turned inward, and it looked horrible enough where I felt like I couldn't show it to anyone I knew. The owner did not recommend that I take them off, so I had to find someone that could. I was assigned to Stephanie the next day to take my lashes off. Before she started, she wanted to talk about my concerns and I explained the whole situation. She was very comforting about it, and she had suggested that instead of taking them off, she could fix them so I don't totally waste my money. I won't explain the technical details, but I just want to say that even though she didn't replace all of the extensions that the apprentice placed, I felt like she truly transformed them and I was very happy with the results. Besides her skill, she was also very sweet and understanding and apologized for my bad experience which I told her she didn't have to do that. And not once has she said anything condescending or negative about Kristin Wood's competitors. I just got a lash refill from Stephanie and am still happy with her work. I had a first taste of eyelash extension from a fundraiser called, ""FRESH IN THE CITY" Fashion Fundraiser," sponsored by Valerie Joseph Boutique & the Light PINC Team. Kristin Wood and her technician, Kimmie were there offering lash extensions. Valerie suggested to try it out so, I did. Kimmie put about 20 lashes on me and I liked how it opened my eyes. So, I decided to make an appointment for a full set. It is quite expensive but the workmanship is top notch! Kimmie's work/art was amazing! I had the synthetic mink lashes and my eyes really popped open! I was afraid that it would look fake but it looks like I'm wearing a volumizing & lengthening mascara. I hardly wear mascara because it would take long for me to get the right look. Here's why, I always have to curl it carefully to make the perfect curl. Then I need to use waterproof lengthening mascara since non-waterproof and volumizing mascaras would weigh my lashes and make them straight. So, after I got my full set, here is what one of my friend's reaction: My friend says: "Hey, you're wearing make-up?" Me: [Puzzled] "What?" My friend then says: "You're wearing mascara." Me: [I smiled at first] "Nope, I have lash extensions." My friend: "Really, they look so nice and natural!" So, just as others mentioned in the reviews...I wake up like this and don't need to fuss too much with eye make-up. I'm getting spoiled with this new look but it does make a difference in the way I look. I don't have to find special eyelash curlers and mascaras. I always walked out of my appointments feeling like a queen! I normally go with the ready-to-wear look and find that it looks full and natural. This is a long overdue review but I firmly believe Kristin Wood Lashes is the best place on the island to get eyelash extensions. I started seeing Arisa who was absolutely phenomenal, she paid attention to detail and took her time perfecting my set each time. When she left, I switched to Kalei and Kalei was also amazing. She took over and kept my eyelashes exactly how I liked them. She was super sweet and patient. Kristin Wood is on the higher end, price wise but I believe you pay for quality and this is quality. There was one point where I left the country for a month and my eyelashes were still in tact when I came back to the U.S. I've tried other places and my lashes turned out ok but would never last. I recently moved off the island but I recommend this place to anyone wanting to get their lashes done! read more

Let me just start by saying that if I could give this place more stars, I guarantee you I would. I love this place. I never have any trouble finding parking so that's definitely a plus. And from the second you walk in, you're taken aback by how cute the waiting area is every time. Everyone I've encountered at the front desk has been so warm and friendly, always asking if I need anything while I'm waiting or if I'd like some water or something small to snack on. The waiting area is beautifully decorated and spacious, although I've never spent much time there at all because I'm seen just minutes after I check in. From my very first appointment up until now, I've had nothing but great experiences. Joy is my go-to girl and she never fails me. Ask for her and I promise you won't be disappointed! Just when I think she can't outdo herself, she surprises me every time and I feel like my lashes look better and better with every visit I make here. I always walk out more than satisfied with my lashes. Her customer service is amazing and she really goes above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable throughout your entire appointment. Ever since I got my lashes done here the end of last year, I'll never go anywhere else or see anyone else to have them done. I've found my place and despite living far from town, the trip will always be worth it to me. I had lash extensions only once before and they didn't stay on well so I was hoping for different results this time around. I got lash extensions right before a trip to Vegas. Lashes were put on Saturday and my trip to Vegas on Tuesday night. I thought the customer service was excellent and I really liked the intern who did my lashes. When they were going through the list of dos and don'ts I realized how much maintenance these lashes were going to be, but I still wanted to try it and see how much I could live with the things they required. Such as, can't use oil products, oil cleansers, must sleep on your back. If you sleep on the side the lashes could fall out, etc. Being careful around steam, and blow dryers, and no water for the first 24 hours, etc on your eyes. So I took it a step further and only used a cleansing wipe for the first 48 hours, but i looked down at my sink and there it was, the first of the lashes to come off. I thought, I hadn't even touched these lashes!! And I'm a back sleeper so I didn't do anything wrong there. Well, I spent the next 5 days being so careful, trying not to get water directly on them as instructed, but more lashes came off. Finally, when I got back it had been a week since I had the lashes. The lashes looked weird because they were really sparse in some areas and still left in others. After that week I started washing my face like regular and the rest of the lashes basically came off. I liked the look of the lashes but one of the things I did not count on were the quickness with how the lashes fell off... didn't even last a full week and the glue was most irritating. Disappointed with eyelash extensions so I'll probably pass and occasionally wear fake lashes instead. The glue used is pretty potent from what I've read as well so I'll pass on lash extensions in general. So far the best place that I've ever been to get my lashes done!!! Angela is amazing!!!!!!!! Seriously the best. I've been getting my lashes done for years off and on trying to figure out who I really liked. My lashes were never so good that I wanted to keep up with the fills. So for my Wedding, I came to Kristin Wood salon. It was so gorgeous and calming when I walked in. I was in love with the deco and smiling faces that greeted me! I was beyond excited for my appointment. After the consultation, I was so anxious to see what it would look like. Flares and a natural style is what we decided on. A few hours later after excellent conversation, the time flew and it was time to see Angela's work. I was so in love! Nothing like I have had before. She took her time to make it perfect and better than I could have dreamt of! To this day, I visit Angela once a month to get touched up and still get compliments on my lashes!!! I am addicted. Wow. After being in the trade for a while, I know a good lasher when I get one. While being in Hawaii on a vaca, I was needing a cleanup and a touchup on my already expertly applied lashes....(it's 30+C I have to swim!) when I looked to yelp to find a place to go. There was only one review for Kristin's place, but hers was the only I wanted to go to . Kristin Wood's little spot is fantastic. It's cute and kitschy and her room setup is so cute. It's pretty much all white, but VERY clean. The floors had no dust bunnies to be seen :) She had pens with feathers on them and a rhinestone covered stapler. I was tempted to ask her where she got it...but back to the lash at hand... She was very knowledgeable which put me at ease. She gave me an option of eye pads, eyelashes...and gave me exactly what I wanted. She herself has seen a lot of botch jobs, so we had plenty to talk about. She spent 90 minutes on a relash for me, but she put WAY more than a relash in, and gave me a good deal too. She generally starts with 80-100 lashes per eye, so all sets are fantastic. Prices range around 300$ for a full set and 80$ for a fill, but I think it's worth the perfect application, clean environment, and experience Kristin offers. Plus she is super cute, has adorable pink hair, and was rocking a hot pair of red heels! If you're in Honolulu and want a touch up or a new set of lashes, Kristin should be the first one you call. read more

If I could give her 10 stars I would. She is great at what she does. The lashes stay on and I get them filled every 3 weeks. I feel glamorous after getting them! I am moving out of Hawaii, but hope I can find someone just as good as her in Boston! She came highly recommended by two other friends who get their lashes done by her. I decided to get eyelash extensions for my wedding this past June. My make-up artist told me that the only place to go is to Kristin Wood. I've also heard great things from a few friends who went here before. So I decided to try it out myself...and I wasn't disappointed. I had Julie (Kristin's sister) work on my eyes. It took about 2 1/2 hours to complete. When she was done, I could hardly recognize myself with my new eyelashes! They were gorgeous! It took me a little while to get used to because they were so long and full, but I knew it would be great in the pictures. Even after the wedding, my friends and family commented on how nice my lashes were. I love these lash extensions because even after swimming, sweating, and during everyday activities, the lashes were still in tact even after 3 weeks. I feel like I don't even have to wear any makeup at all because the lashes make it look like you're wearing makeup! it's amazing! Before I left on my honeymoon, I went back to Kristin Wood (I had Deidre this time) to get them redone. The refill is cheaper so it's more affordable for about month of lashes. I LOVE EYELASH EXTENSIONS!!! Now with that being said, this review is long overdue. I actually had my first appointment with Kristen back in November for my sisters wedding. I have been getting extensions done for a couple of years and absolutely will not be seen in public without. I've been to several different places to get them done and was pretty happy with the results but then I discovered Kristen Wood. I believe in the mantra, "you get what you pay for" and this definitely applies to lash extensions. Yes I was shocked at the cost and the time required for my first set but grit my teeth and went through with the appointment. Kristen was very informative and thorough about what she was going to do and how to upkeep the lashes afterwards. After this first appointment my fills are now done by Dez. She is real good at listening to what you want and does her best to make sure you get what you are asking for and will also let you know what can and can't be done. read more

After careful consideration and evaluation on my options, all signs said Kristin would be the best artist to create my set. She is immensely meticulous when it comes to designing a perfect pair of peepers. She works with you on what you want, and can accomodate to practically every whim that your heart desires. From practical & professional to crazy & colorful, she can do it all. Kristin's studio is tightly tucked away in Kilohana Square, upper level above the Rainforest Flower Shop. When you walk in, the ambience is very "princess-y" with a bit of a Burlesque twist, Victorian impression. For first time applications, clients may want to bring their own iPod with earphones - as it may take 3 to 4 hours. Kristin does play music, but if you have a particular music preference, then this is an alternative for you. Just a tiny suggestion for Kristin - for first timers of your services, maybe issuing a little "after care" sheet would be beneficial to them - just so they can quickly refer to it if need be. Other than that, everything exceeded my expectations. Her services are more costly than those competitors, but honestly... there is NO COMPETITION. The quality of Kristin Wood's work is first-class. If there is one thing I'm absolutely in love with & addicted to, it's my lash extensions by Kristin Wood. I've bounced from place to place until I discovered her and now I've been a client for over a year now. The quality of her services are beyond excellent and Kristin herself is always professional & amazingly sweet. During her consultation with me I learned more about the process and she made me feel comfortable with the whole experience because of her expertise. I'm a fairly active person, I swim, hike, & workout on a regular basis yet Kristin's lashes hold up to my rough lifestyle. I go for my refill appointments every 3 weeks but even at that point they still look full. In my line of work, I always meet new people and at least once a day I get a compliment or inquiry about my beautiful lashes. Kristin is AMAZING & the lashes are PHENOMENAL! prior to kristin i had experienced 2 other lash technicians, but once i experienced kristin, there was no way i could go back to mediocre. she definitely is the best. there is no pain, no pulling, no sore tape on the sensitive eye area. each lash is individual, seperated & evenly spaced & placed. i may have paid less per visit with the other 2 lash techs i've seen before, but to me, it's worth the money. plus! it all works out about the same since kristins lashes last that much longer. they simply are the best accessory. unless you are allergic to the adhesive (i've had a few friends who are) be prepared to get hooked!
