I am trying to support local businesses in my community during this recent lock down. I understand that the restaurants are struggling to make a profit and stay in business. I don't think my expectations are too high, but I was very disappointed in the calamari (small portion), and the Greek salad (all lettuce). The taziki was great and the chicken souvlaki was lovely. A nice, quiet, small place for Greek food. I usually go for the Caesar Salad and a glass of wine. The best time to go is in the early-mid afternoon. The staff and water service are excellent. They only have one large tv screen, so you're not bombarded with many screens like in some other bars and restaurants these days. I love to get a window seat and watch the people and traffic along Corydon Ave. go by. read more

We had the worst experience from Kristina's when we orders through Skip the Dishes. We ordered for 6 people and they missed 2 and a half of our meals. Rather than quickly making the missing food and sending it over to some very hungry people, the Manager on duty only refunded to the penny, what was missing. The problem here was it was different parts of different meals. If we had been in the restaurant they would have definitely made amends, but not having to face their customers makes it much easier to give bad customer service. The response was, order from someone else. Now the food we did receive was great, so I heard from my guests, I just didn't get any as I had to order from somewhere else to get service. I would suggest not ordering from Kristina's, maybe they can handle service on site, but outside orders apparently are too much for their staff to handle. Kristina, I suggest not working with outside delivery if you can't handle it. You have lost a very long time in house client due to some very very poor service. read more

My wife and I love 'Greek food'. We have been so disappointed over the past 25 years but have continued to try to find great Greek food somewhere in Winnipeg. At last we have found it! Twice in the past month we have been delighted at dining at 'Kristinas' on Corydon. Believe me, we have dined all over Europe and N. America but Kristinas is our major Greek discovery. One month ago we had a wonderful dinner here (see my earlier review) and just a few days ago we had this wonderful lunch ( Gyro) discovery. Great meal, wonderful lamb, excellent fries and Greek salad. A really 'NICE" server (thank you Nancy) who, unasked, brought samples of soups to our tables afterwards to try and tempt us back again. We'll be back, if only to meet up with Nancy again! Thank you Kristina - your food is truly wonderful and we'll be back many more times. Another 5 star review, well deserved! read more

Can not really tell you what the food was like as we did not get served. Waited over 20 minutes after we were given the menu and nobody came. I understand they were busy, but a table got service that came at least 10 minutes after we were seated. Could not seem to get the server's attention. After 25 minutes we left. Probably won't be back. read more

What can I say? Reservations were not honored, waited half hour for a table. When seated, they give us a seat by the bathroom, when a window seat was available. We both noticed this, but didn't complain, as we were waiting for the delicious food! When the food was delivered, I, was given a totally wrong order. Waited another half hour for my correct order. Couldn't believe it? Oh, and the salad was good, & the wrong food order was a freebie, in a dog bag. Thanks. Will I be a repeat customer? On what basis? Some other quirks, it is a "Greek" resto. Where was the greek music? all we heard was a dull thud of bass pounding in my ears, & the din of conversation, where is the sound control? Sorry Kristina, but have to be honest here. read more

After ordering takeout from Kristinas on Cordon, we discovered that the restaurant didn't put the basil cream sauce on the chicken. There was just a rather dry, breaded chicken breast in the container. We've never had a problem before this, after calling the restaurant and speaking to somebody i was told the manager would get back to me and they'd make it right. Nobody called, I understand mistakes happen however Kristinas should have offered something to make up for the subpar dinners that we got instead of just not responding. Not very responsible!!! Hold up I spoke too soon just heard from the manager he went above and beyond to correct the kitchens error. Still one of my favorite restaurants. Yay team!!!! read more

Was in Winnipeg for 10 days and decided to take the in-laws to dinner here Sunday, August 19th. It was the worst meal I have been served in at least a decade. Starter ceasar salads were tasteless and overdressed while the tomato lentil soup tasted like dishwater. Parents shared the greek platter for 2 and both had to return their ice cold meals. They didn't come back any warmer. The "platter" was filled with a half loaf of garlic bread, one piece of potato, one morsel of chicken souvlaki and miniscule (tablespoon) portions of spanikopita and moussaka. All overcooked and tasteless. Husband's $23 veal plate had been microwaved - the cheese "mix" of mozza and cheddar (?) was unmelted and/or oily in various spots. I had the special described as a skewer of shrimp and scallops over a bed of fresh greens with a pineapple habanero dressing. The skewer was 2 pre-frozen shrimp and one rubbery and dirty scallop that left more grit in my mouth than taste. Again, the greens were so overdressed I would have needed a spoon to eat. Service was slow and lazy. The waitress couldn't be bothered to ask why all four plates were left sitting basically untouched when we asked for the bill. I do not understand all the good reviews on this site or the number of people sitting in the restaurant when we left. Expensively inedible. Even the rind of the lemon wedge garnish had mould.
