Solid good diner food. Our server, Kim, was great! Burgers were good, cooked to temp, big and filling. Fries were good. So was the French dip. Ice tea was yummy and our glasses were kept full. Food is awful and definitely pre made in a factory and then frozen. Super expensive for crummy food. Maybe their breakfast is better. I will never return here. I don't mind paying 30$ for a plate if it's good but this food is no better than what you get at Walmart in the frozen food isle. Kristina's is a throwback place. Unfussy, but also reliably good. First off, we had the most cheerful server I have ever had at a restaurant! I wouldn't say there's a ton of ambiance, but it's a exactly what it needs to be. From our booth we could see the huge grill and vent hood - which looked sparkly and perfectly clean, too. I had a chicken cheese steak that came with really great fries. All of it hot from the grill or fryer. And a tasty strawberry lemonade with chunks of fresh strawberry floated on top. We found this place while driving to our hotel and decided to stop by after checking in. We're so glad we did as this place gave us Midwest diner vibes and the portions are huge! The worker was really sweet and helpful with the menu. For drinks, we got the hot chocolate and coffee. The hot chocolate was made of a semi-sweet chocolate and was good but I would've preferred milk chocolate. We got the popcorn shrimp as an appetizer and it was perfectly cooked as it was lightly battered so we could taste the flavor of the shrimp. The fries were crispy on the outside but wasn't on the inside and tasted fresh. For mains, we got the tater tot nachos and the redwood club. The nachos were delicious as the portion was huge and there was a good amount of toppings such as cheese and sour cream on top. The redwood club was perfectly toasted and the cheese was nicely melted on the grilled chicken. The sandwich also came with a good amount of avocado pieces as well. We were in town for the redwood walk, and decided to try this place for dinner. We were starving after a long day, so no pictures were had. We had the chicken fried steak, patty melt and two burgers. The portions were generous, and what you'd expect from an American Diner. The food was good diner food, but what really blew our experience out of the water was Paige! Service was 5 stars, large portions and convenient location next to the motel we were staying at. Besides that, food was WAY too greasy. A cheesesteak roll should not be dripping in oil or butter on the OUTSIDE of it, so gross. Just toast the bread or use a a fresh italian roll, no need to douse in extra calories. We stopped in after driving Avenue of the Giants, heading to PCH. Our waitress was so cheerful, we ordered French dip and fries and Patty Melt and fries. Our food came quickly, there were only a few other patrons. You never know with French Dip, if a restaurant serves good beef or if it's fatty. This beef was perfect. Huge side of fries, I couldn't finish them. The patty melt , according to my husband, was very good as well. The poor waitress was running her tail feathers off, as more customers came in, as well as to go orders being picked up. She was extremely kind and sweet to everyone. They really need to hire another waitress. She was literally running at times. Good diner food, reasonable prices and nice service. Give that girl a raise! read more

This place is medium sized with lots of windows to make it nice and bright. Menu has a lot of options, so I am sure you will find something you are craving. Breakfast all day is always a plus. I had the corned beef 3 egg breakfast with hash browns and scrambled eggs. The corned beef was awesome! It was tender and flavorful, just the right amount of salt. The hash browns were excellent as well, nice and crispy on the outside and moist on the inside . My husband ordered the ham and cheese crepe with country potatoes. The crepe filling was perfect but the hollandaise was broken and looked unappetizing to me. The potatoes could have used more seasoning and were unevenly cooked. My husband ate his fill but wasn't impressed with his food like I was. Service was great as well. The staff were friendly and always wore smiles. Our coffee mugs were never close to empty or cold. We were passing through Eureka and decided to stop by Kristina's due to the positive reviews and the fact that a few in our party were craving breakfast for dinner. Parking is available in their private lot, and the establishment itself is HUGE, with tons of seating options. We were able to get seated pretty quickly, and our waitress Michelle was pretty attentive and efficient throughout the meal. She even provided our table with quite a few condiment options without us needing to ask. For our meal, we opted for a half sandwich with clam chowder, a ham quesadilla, corned beef & eggs, and I had the NY Steak and Eggs. The prices were very reasonable, and the portion sizes were quite generous. Everyone agreed that the food was delicious, and even my MIL, who typically eats very little, managed to clean her plate. For my order of NY Steak and Eggs, they did overcook my steak. As I ordered a medium rare, and it came out medium well. But the overall meal was still delicious, and the steak did have a nice sear on the outside. Aside from the overcooked steak, we really enjoyed our dining experience here. And after we finished the waitress didn't come back for a long period of time. Then she showed up, and said she forgot to give us our check. The waitress was really nice. It's a good place. Didn't know what to expect coming in here. All I knew is we checked Yelp and it had a high rating so we picked it for breakfast/brunch. The place is easy enough to find, and parking is shared with the hotel/motel in the same vicinity so no need to worry about getting towed if you are eating here. My expectations started to shoot downward as we walked into the restaurant. We were greeted by a homeless fella who opened the door for us, then inside looked like we stepped back in time. So I wasn't expecting much from here, but things got better. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I got the Acapulco scramble, and kids got a couple of kids pancakes and wife got an order of pancakes as well. Food was delicious and thats really all we expect. A nice touch is they shaped the kids pancake into Mickey. That put a smile in my kids faces. Everything tasted good. Pancakes were fluffy and had the right texture. My other child ordered French Toast but I never got to try it so I guess that's their way of saying it was good. I thoroughly enjoyed my Acapulco scramble. This is Eureka's diner. The food is good and the portions are large. The service is also good. The atmosphere is like that of a classic American diner. My only complaint is that there aren't smaller portions available at a lower cost for guests who might just want to eat less and pay less. If you love large portions and leftovers then this is the spot for you. The food is priced right, it's just too much for some of us. So if you eat less like I do then consider sharing an entree. This is a good old-fashioned coffee shop that has been here for years and years. Back in the 70s, this was Eureka's "Sambo's." This place has always had good food. I was visiting Eureka for Christmas weekend, so I decided to stop for breakfast on the morning of Christmas Eve. The place is bright and spotless on the inside, and everybody is very friendly. I was seated and given a menu right away. The menu has a lot of different choices. I chose the tri-tip omelette, with fruit instead of potatoes. It comes with three eggs, tri-tip, sautéed mushrooms and onions, and Swiss cheese. I don't like it when the cheese "blows out" the omelette, so I asked for light cheese, and that's exactly what I got. The food came very quickly, and it was amazing! There was a very large portion of tender, well, seasoned, tri-tip, the veggies were also seasoned, well, and not too firm or mushy I'm glad I asked for the light cheese, because it was just the right amount. It was basically a Philly cheesesteak omelette without the green peppers. I enjoyed it immensely. I also got a very large portion of fruit. The coffee is delicious, and they continuously come by to make sure that your cup is full The price for breakfast was very reasonable, plus, if you are military or a veteran , they will also give you a small discount. Had just got into town and needed a place for lunch. Stopped at Kristina's. We shared a meal of Turkey with Mashed potatoes and Gravy. It was enough for two. The waitress was excellent. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We were too full but noticed they had good desserts so after dinner at another restaurant we decided to come back to Kristina's for dessert. We each go a dessert and shared them. We got a piece of chocolate cake and a piece ofApple pie with ice cream . Both were outstanding and our waitress and her trainee were exceptional.
