Came here on a Monday very hungry, and it wasn't very busy at all. I saw a sign before we were seated for a $16 ribeye sandwich special, which is what I ordered. First of all, massive portion. Plate was overflowing with food, and the sandwich had a good size piece of meat. The meat was flavorful and tender, cooked to a good medium rare. The fries impressed me as well. I'm often weary of diner fries because they tend to be soggy, but these were crispy and had a good amount of seasoning, which I really liked. I have not eaten here before, not even when it used to be the pantry I liked the menu, so I decided to do a DoorDash to my motel. Overall, the food was very good, it was packed well, and it came quickly. Unfortunately, the order came with no plastic silverware, no napkins, just the food. Did they not see that this was going to a motel? Fortunately, I had a plastic fork from another meal, and I just used TP for napkins. Please pay a little bit more attention to the details. I decided to go with the à la Mexicana omelette, which had spicy beef, cheese, salsa, diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, sour cream, olives, and green onions. Basically, a "taco omelette." it also came with jalapeños, but I put in the comments to please leave them out, and they did. To drink, I had a "Tutti Frutti", which was orange and cranberry juice, with Sprite. The omelette was very good. They were generous with all of the ingredients. I love a good "taco omelette", and this was right up there with others that I have had. The eggs were tender, the beef and the salsa had just a little bit of a spice, just enough that I knew it was there. I liked the sour cream And The lettuce and the diced tomato provided a nice "pop" of freshness. I loved the drink. The orange and the cranberry played very well together, and they didn't put in so much sprite that it watered down the rest of the flavors. The hashbrowns were OK, just generic restaurant hashbrowns, and I wish they would've given me a choice of the bread when I ordered. I would've mentioned it in the comments, but I didn't think about it. It was just your standard white toast. It was OK, but I would've preferred like a nice sourdough, or rye, or something like that. Nice good old-fashioned diner near Cal Poly Humboldt. They have an amazing hot roast beef open-faced sandwich with garlic mashed potatoes. You hardly ever see that! The curly-seasoned fries were also really good, and the portions were great. Service was fast and friendly. Clean and well-maintained inside, too. We ordered the apple pie ala mode even though we were stuffed, and MAN, was it worth it! So good. Worst food we have ever had. Burnt onion rings. Not a huge deal but the chicken wings were so burnt they smothered them i. BBQ sauce. it was a bowl full of sauce. Peppers has the best Country fried steak breakfast around! I always order it with the gravy on the side so that any leftovers won't be soggy when reheated. The gravy is traditional and yummy and it comes with your choice of egg, choice of potatoes and choice of bread with butter or jam. Soooooo gooood! It's also a really great price. Stopped in breakfast recently on a rainy Sunday morning and the place was busy. The interior is an old school diner, the old village pantry with booths and tables. I was greeted within a minute and seated at the same time. Service is friendly and professional with a smile. I opted for the Eggs & Bacon breakfast, three eggs to order with four pieces of bacon, hash browns and choice of bread, I went for the biscuit and it was a good one. Eggs cooked pretty close, a little over but close enough, the bacon was good and not to crisp, the hash browns plentiful and a nice crunch but could of been crispier and the biscuit was really good. Pepper's served classic diner food. Simple and made relatively well. My family ordered a variety of dishes and although nothing to write home about they all finished their meals. I ordered the steak and shrimp. I ordered my steak medium and it was cooked almost well done. Way over cooked. The steak was taken back for another to be prepared again. The steak came out and was still overdone. It had taken so long that I just ate the steak since most of my party was nearly done with their meals. The waitress saw how overcooked the steak was and tried to help as best as she could. If you like well done steak then Pepper's is definitely the place for you. Although my meal left a lot to be desired the service was outstanding. Viky was our server and she was polite, prompt, and very cheerful. Viky may be the best server I have ever had in my life. Although this place has a HUGE menu which sometimes makes me skeptical, the special of the day caught my eye at the door & all 3 people in my party ended up getting it!! The waitress who helped us out was so bright & kind & was constantly visiting our table making sure we were happy with our service & order. The steak was really tender & we ended up replacing the Caesar dressing with ranch (due to personal preference). I am 100% a ranch girl and this ranch was TO DIE FOR!!!! (Packaging was all compostable material.) Among our breakfast choices, we had biscuits and gravy, the Acapulco skillet, chili and cheese omelet and the Tip-tip omelet. The chili cheese omelet was tasty and plentiful and came with hash browns and toast. The tri-tip omelet was big and meaty, but the beef was sliced thinly instead of chunks as I'd been expecting. My daughter and I shared this and neither of us cared too much for it. I was told that the Acapulco skillet was very good. The biscuits and gravy came with scrambled eggs (overcooked) and hash browns. The white country gravy had chunks of sausage links in it and the biscuits were ideal. The young woman who assisted with taking and packaging up my order could not have been more helpful or friendly. Plenty of parking, even for large vehicles. read more

I have gotten several dishes from Peppers and they are simply delicious. The only problem I have is the cost.

The wife and I travelled a few hours from our house to an event and after a long drive I wasn't hopeful about being able to find some good food in a foreign place. Turns out I was wrong. Ended up getting a Cheese burger with fries and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this diner burger. The Wife ended up getting Fish and Chips that ended up being way better than I expected (I didn't realize at first we were so close to the ocean). Her food certainly trumped mine this time. Her Fish was awesome and really something that should be tried. You could absolutely tell that this wasn't your run of the mill, out of a box fish pieces. The breading was awesome and the portions were great. They were out of the clam chowder she wanted but the salad was pretty good. both of us got fries that ended up not being my favorite but they certainly weren't bad by almost any standard. My cheese burger was bigger than I expected (big win) and absolutely tasted like it was flame broiled/grilled and also wasn't some lazily made burger. The portions were great and I loved the amount of toppings they included. Overall I'm glad we chose this place to order take out from. Definitely worth stopping at if you're traveling through, and if you're a local I'm sure you've already been here and probably enjoy the food. I can't quite speak to the ambiance of this place since the company we were with picked the food up for us but overall it was a nice dinner experience and I was grateful for the food after a long drive up the coast. read more
