Hank's Tavern is a nice place for lunch or dinner. The decor is welcoming and the bar has upbeat vibes. I enjoyed the chicken enchiladas. They were packed with chicken. The rice and beans were not great though. The rice didn't really have a taste and the beans weren't rich in flavor. But I definitely think it is reasonably priced as this plate was around $10-$12 dollars which isn't bad! They have a lot of seating outside on their covered, shaded patio. The patio is surrounded by really nice flowers. Our waitress was kind and dependable. Overall a good experience but nothing over the top I would say. read more

I moved from west Michigan to Florida several years ago, but LOVE to get together with my friends over lunch when I visit. We chose Hank's Tavern this time, and it didn't disappoint! Since there were 8 of us, I called beforehand and was told that they don't take reservations, but seating shouldn't be a problem. They were quite busy when we arrived, but we were seated together within 10 minutes! Our waitress was super bubbly and helpful (unfortunately, I forgot her name). I ordered a frozen raspberry margarita ... which was absolutely delicious! For lunch I chose the 1/2 cajun pork dip sandwich and strawberry walnut salad combo. It was so, so, so good! The pork had some "bite" to it, which was perfect. Not too much, not too little. The salad was also delicious, with the dressing on the side, letting me add what I wanted. Hank's has a lovely outdoor patio as well, which is helpful because the restaurant itself is very small and cozy. I am at a loss on how to describe Hank's Nachos with ground beef. First Nachos are usually stacked up, where these were individually laid out on a rectangle dish. The ground beef did not look like normal juicy ground beef but more like black gravel. I could not eat it. It was just off! The other dish at our table was Wings with a really great ranch dip. This is a really cute spot and I can see why it gets so popular in the summer, the white wood has a fun nautical theme going on.
