Stopped in for the first time in a long time. Normally got to Publix because of my route home but I came from an appointment. Bought 185$ worth of items. Had a pretty full buggy. Not one cashier in the lanes. Had to check out in my own. Today is three days late. Bought 20$ worth of ground beef to use or freeze by today's date. It is already turned and smells horrible. Had the exact same thing with some short ribs I bought. Shame on me. Should have known. Publix meat is always fine. Can get better meat at Ingles off of 20. Won't be back!!! read more

Worst Kroger I've ever shopped in. Cashiers treat you as if they are doing you a favor, give you dirty looks & refuse basic cordial greetings. Last experience was w/cashier Maddhara (unsure of spelling). She refused a smile - literally gave me a look of hate. Would not answer when I asked if "how are you." This mgmt seems to hire mostly Indian individuals who openly despise older Caucasian people. This once was a really nice store, clean, bustling w/business, & friendly staff. Not anymore. read more

Poor management at the Bethelview Kroger. Deli closes when the employe decides she is finished for the day but stated she is not allowed to put a sign up that they are closed although store hours state otherwise this was before 6pm on a Monday . Not enough Registers open, and after the deli wasting over 20 minutes of my day, I got to bag my own groceries. Just move on to the other Kroger or go down the street to Publix. From the looks of the latest reviews there has been no improvement. This is definitely not the first bad experience there, bet this time I was treated exceptionally poor. read more

I really want to like this kroger but they make it very hard. Many of the outdoor items are not priced and they tend to be out of several items throughout the store.The final straw is typically the checkout line. I feel like they get frustrated when customers do not use the cashiers and instead opt for self check. I will say that I will probably never use the cashier again, because every time I do they don't know how to bag. I'm not sure who does the training for the baggers but I feel like there isn't any. Today my eggs were packed with all of the heavy cans. I had to repack in the car to ensure that they did not get crushed. Also, I had one bag full of of non food items except for 1 random package of sliced cheese that was thrown in there. read more

I've been to this Kroger several times as an Instacart shopper. Overall, and especially compared to other Kroger stores in the area, this one is dirty, unorganized, and often out of stock of many items. Considering there is another Kroger only about 4 miles down the road on bethelview that is farrrr nicer, I would never visit this store to spend my personal money. read more

this store would not accept a check from me to pay for gift cards purchased. i just bought over $100 in groceries using credit card. I was told that they could not take a check since I had not written one in a long time. They did not offer sny help on how I could cadh checks for groceries in the future. i called to ralj to the store manager and he did not call me back. I called again todsy and wss put on hold for about 10 minutes and he/she never answered. this is totally not acceptable and may never go back to that store again. bad customer service. I love everything about Kroger. I always shop there. I just moved close to this store and it is not like any other Kroger. Extremely dirty store. The shelves are mostly bare. Bathrooms are filthy with broken TP dispenser lying on the floor. The staff is mostly older (I'm old too) and unhelpful. This is an OK grocery store. This Kroger is not my go-to store but they do carry items that my go-to store does not. I shop usually when they have special deals. They have a gas station and if you spend $100 in a month, you can gas up and get 10 cents off per gallon. I wish this store were a bit cleaner and better organized. All of the unconventional/organic foods are segregated into their own special section. My BIL loves this but frankly, I don't want to have to chase down my soy milk because it has been deemed "healthy". It isn't even organic but it still gets thrown into that section. The store has its benefits and it is a perfectly acceptable grocery store. This is fine store. Feels like a friendly home-town grocer, but has all the gourmet items you will need. Store manager is very nice and professional...and this carries down to his entire crew. All departments are clean, and they all came through for us , with plenty of inventory, during this covid-charade shortages. Good in-store Starbucks, and they have a great clearance section as well. Kroger is the best of the chains here. Prices are consistently lower than the other big chains, and if you buy when the yellow tag is on what you need, you can save some $. In addition, you can get a nice discount on their competitively priced gas if you use the Kroger Card. Dirtiest Kroger ever. We've bought expired food several times on accident. It smells dirty as well, especially the seafood and meat area. There are quite the array of flies around the deli on a summer evening. But, like others have said, it's close to home and has a good natural section. read more

The customer service is horrible the store manager is terrible!!! There was a problem with my transaction and the front end associate worked for an hour to fix the problem. Finally she said sorry there is not anything I can do for you. She wanted me to go home with no proof that they over charged my card and told me to just go home and the store manager will fix it in the morning. This was now 11pm so I was just over it and went home. The next morning I went in and the store manager Stephen said that he was told what happened and that he fixed it I then asked what happened and he said look lady I don't have time to deal with you right now just don't ever do two spearate tenders at the self check out again. I'm a Kroger fan, but this location is awful. The store is horribly outdated and the worst produce section I've ever seen. If they're not sold out of it-it's too old. You literally have to check every item's expiration date to make sure you're not buying something that's about to, or already expired-especially anything in the dairy department. I just recently changed to this Kroger on Bethelview road to the pharmacy there thinking their prices were a lot better than other places. Over the past few months I've been met by a woman at the pickup window inside and she has been nothing but rude. She won't answer any of my questions about anything. She comes across as if I'm just bothering her. I have five prescriptions I need every month and I wanted to talk to her about the prices I found on Good RX. She had no interest in even discussing with me about it. When I asked her she just grabbed the Kroger pamphlet about their own discount program and just said fill it out for next time. Once I went home and looked at my receipt and then checked Good RX I ended up spending double what I should have spent. The receipt I got from them didn't even break down each medication price individually by name. I shouldn't have to come into a pharmacy and have such terrible service as if I'm just a burden to even come to the counter. This same employee for months now I've had to deal with in the same rude way. I don't ever write reviews on any business but this time I really feel like I have too. This Pharmacy and their service is terrible. I don't know the name of this woman but she needs to find another profession. Absolutely rude and unprofessional. Until I move to another pharmacy from now on I will make a point to this employee that I will take as much time asking her questions and getting the service I deserve. read more

Our family are big Kroger fans but this location is changing that. It's dirty. There are flies. There is often expired food on the shelves. And to top it off, my husband recently visited late at night and found they were doing renovations. Only, they did not cover the food around them so they had produce and deli items exposed to wood shavings, metal particles, and flammable chemicals. Who runs a table saw in the middle of the deli department? Apparently the contractors working at this location. It was very unsafe. The manager was alerted but didn't seem too concerned and did not tell the workers to stop working. Very disappointed in his response. Food safety is already a huge issue with all the chemicals they put in our foods, now we have to have to be worried about how it is handled at the grocery store? This was the tipping point.
