Worst Kroger I've ever encountered. The store is consistently dirty. Be careful where you step, because it may stick to your shoes for the rest of the day! Very few of the staff who work here act like they want to have anything to do with customers. They won't look at you or greet you. Shoppers must initiate any kind of contact if they want to be helped by an employer. Deli staff is the worst! Half the self-check registers are closed and no regular registers are open. Kroger needs to limit the number of items at the self checkout. Self checkout should be for quick in and out of the store. As convenient as they are, most customers are slower than store employees checking people out. This means the customer with a gallon of milk and loaf of bread waits and waits and waits as inconsiderate people with over flowing carts waist their time. Kroger's lack of concern for this shows. This location is one of the nicer layouts of the various grocery locations in the Denton and surrounding cities areas. It's also much cleaner, with friendly deli, meats, and bakery employees which makes for a nicer and more pleasant experience. The only thing I'd change is making it easier to find someone in the customer service area at the front of the store. I've had to wait a bit one too many times. Luckily, I rarely have issues but when I do, it'd be nice to get it taken care of as quickly as possible. read more

Bakery department staff, need a smile on their face. At least fake it. Customer service is part of the job. Came here twice today. Both stops made in the bakery dept. 1st girl around 9am on 12/11, seemed annoyed when I asked where cupcakes were. Returned for a 2nd cake at 655, when our evening plans changed. Wanted a cake from behind the glass doors. Waited not long, maybe 3-5min while a girl behind the counter was messing with boxes. She avoided eye contact, clearly ignoring me. She comes around the corner, and I ask if she had a box for a cake. Obviously annoyed with me that it's now 7:11 and I didn't earlier see the crappy hand written note that had been edited with sharpee, bakery closes at 7. Ok so you're closed. PUT A SIGN UP. Sorry I used 4.5 seconds of your time to pick 1 of the only cakes that worked since your selection was so poor. read more

June 24, 2022 we purchased 4 items at Kroger on Teasley Lane in Denton. When we got home we realized that 3 of the cold refrigerated items expired June 6, 2022!!! That's almost 3 weeks ago! I called the store and the only thing they could do was request us to bring in our receipt, in-person, and get a refund. We cannot text or e-mail the receipt, we have to go back to this store. The inconvenience this Kroger store causes a person is extremely great. They charged us for expired food and then make it difficult to remedy the situation. After shopping for items I went to the check out area I got in line. The lady in front of me said I might want to move to another line because the lady in front of her which had all of her groceries in bags was taking them out because the checker had to recheck them. I moved to another line and when I got up there to get my groceries checked she told me that her line was closed and had already put groceries on the counter. I moved back to the original line and noticed that checker was checking out someone after she told me her line was closed. I asked her about it and she said she was mistaken on her time so she started checking out other people So I turned back around to the line that I was in and put my groceries on top of the counter to be checked and when I got up there for her to start ringing up my groceries she said there was something wrong with the ticker on her register. I said you're telling me that I have to now take all of my groceries off of the counter put them back in my cart and find another checker. And she said yes. I really like this store. It took me a while to get used to the layout but now I find it easy to navigate. The selection of products is great. You just have to get used to the scattered layout - example: there are milk and eggs on the right side of the store and the left side. Both sides have dairy milk and almond milk but only the right side has cashew milk. There are frozen entrees on the left side and the right side. The yogurt is near the left side of the store except the Fage yogurt which is on the right side near the produce. Some of it seems to be separated by organic vs standard but it is not consistent. The produce is usually very fresh and they have just about everything. The seafood counter has a good selection but occasionally the staff here seems flustered. The hot deli bar has great deals on hot chicken but the baked chicken is sometimes a bit dry from sitting there (perhaps it doesn't sell as fast as the fried). read more

This is honestly the craziest Kroger I've ever been to, it is ALWAYS busy and hard to find parking. This is obviously a popular location and I honestly have never seen it dead morning or evening. They have everything Kroger's usually have. It's stocked well and organized so it's easy to find. The store clerks always there to help. My favorite part about it is that they have self check out, which is perfect for those times you have only a few items. Makes for an easy in and out experience. Not really anything negative to say other than it being crowded all the time, lol which is a good sign. read more

This is one of the nicest Kroger stores I've been to. The square footage seems to be much larger than most regular Kroger stores. You have enough space in the aisle to have a party, it's nice for a change to not have to squeeze through people that are looking for something specific. They have a good variety of organic options and other healthy options. I also really like that they have a Starbucks in this location. It makes the grocery shopping at least a little bit more enjoyable. Another bonus is that they have a Kroger gas station next to the store, if you shop here frequently you can score pretty good deals on gas as well. read more

If I could go lower than 1 star I would. I scheduled a pickup (at my convenience right) but waited an hour for it to come out. Went to customer service to get them to bring it out. When they finally did, they shorted me $200 of groceries. Went back to customer service to be told that the mgr had already gone home. They did give me a sheet of what I didnt get. I compared my receipt to what was given & found that items were subbed at higher prices, more items were given than asked for. Done with Kroger. Never again!! read more

It's new, it's super sized, it's got tons of employees everywhere who are just beginning new positions in a new and exciting super sized place, so of course it's going to be great. excellent seafood selections as well as meats. it's brand new so everything is clean and organized. My only negative is that they have these hotel bells at every check out and if you get good service you're supposed to ring the bell and then all of the service managers standing up front are supposed to clap and scream and holler and it's EXTREMELY freaking annoying the ENTIRE time I am in there. Every time I've gone, I've left with a headache and I always have to try to get what I need and get out as soon as possible. Frustrating. read more

This review is solely in response to the online order pick up department. They need to be redistributed to other areas of the store and this department remade. The last time I had a pick up order they were running so far behind that I waited over an hour with kids in the car to be told they had no idea when the order would be ready and ultimately cancelled it for it to be a waste of not only that time, but the time I had to spend actually getting the groceries we needed elsewhere. Today for a 7:30a-8a pick up I was told at 7:52a upon walking up to my car that not all of the order was fulfilled. I should have received a notification from the app no less than 10 minutes prior to the earlier side of the pick up time. Had I received this I would have cancelled the entire order because I only added the other items to reach the required pick up minimum. so waste of time and money this time. Trying to give feedback or get any resolve is useless as the app isn't set up properly for feedback. Contacts go to a national location that doesn't care about store-level issues and ultimately does nothing. Truly despise going to this location. read more

it's a Sunday Called 20mins before heading to pharmacy asked if refill was ready, they replied yes. Arrived at 5:50. Was in a line at the drive thru and the 3 cars ahead of us weren't able to get it. We all came inside and they closed before the time the manager said they are suppose to close. Manager is unable to get refill that was completed. Kroger used to be so good. But times have changed. Their Click it list is the worst. It's common to be charged for an item but not get it . Also, why do they give us a bag of sweet potato's that are going bad? Do they not check their produce? Their ads say they're constantly checking their produce. I kinda doubt that. What if you want to sanitize your cart. Most of the time they're completely out of something to sanitize. Have you ever tried buying from the fish counter and realize it smells bad. Management at this store is deplorable. We set up a pick-up order. Got a text saying it was ready. When we arrived, all the pick-up spots were full. No signs of an employee. Spent an hour waiting. During that hour of waiting called the store multiple times and finally got the manager Mark on the phone who said that they called everyone to let them know that there would be no pick-ups tonight. I told him clearly that didn't happen as so many were there waiting and that I did not receive a call. None of the people waiting did. The one person working pick-ups who did come outside didn't say anything to all the people waiting either. This is a Management failure. I am currently on the phone with corporate because the store claimed they canceled my order when I called to see if I could pick it up today but the charge is on my credit card and Kroger customer service is having to call the store directly while keeping me on hold to have them correct this. The customer service rep just came back on the line after speaking with the store to tell me that they have not canceled my order and asked if I still wanted it. The store literally told me that the order was canceled and if I saw a pending charge to call customer service to have it addressed. Do not give this store your money. 2nd review, for the 4th week in a row my pickup order was not ready when it was supposed to be. The worst part is they don't even call to tell you it's not ready! After driving up there and checking in I waited 20 mins. for an employee to finally come out and tell me it wasn't ready. When asked when it would be ready the employee replied ' I don't know' after coming home and calling their office to speak to the store manager Ryan, I waited 10 mins for him to finally come to the phone. It's noon on a Sunday, and there are only 2 check out lanes open. The lines for each are 6 to 8 customers deep and growing. This is absolutely horrible customer service. This is a pretty nice Kroger and their parking lot is probably the easiest to navigate of all the Kroger's in town. I do appreciate being able to come and go without a near accident raising my blood pressure. Entrances and exits on both sides of the corner make it very simple. I'm not sure if this one has different products than the others or just has a different layout but at this location there is a large area near produce that is organic and healthy items and I like that they are all together. It makes it appear they have a larger selection of these items as there's quite a few aisles dedicated to it. Their deli and bakery are good and seem to have a wide variety of ready made items at both. There also seem to be more appliances at this location. The toiletry section seems much larger as well, the shampoos seem to take most of an aisle and I had no idea there were so many lotions and cleansers. :) My only complaint is their dairy section doesn't always stay stocked. Due to the location, I am typically coming here on my way home from work and don't want to have to go to another store so it's a bummer when I just want creamer or milk but the entire fridge is empty. This location is not open 24 hours like the one by my house and this may impact their restocking. To be clear, it's only happened a few times but it's more often than it has happened at the other locations. Their pharmacy area is easy to navigate and on the rare occassion I need to use it, they are quite friendly. They seem very busy though so it's 50/50 if you can pick up after your shopping or if you need to come back later but they do have a drive thru window. Staff seems friendly enough. I normally know what I am looking for and have been navigating grocery stores for years but when I have a question it's the typical responses. This location does a good job of keeping the self checkout area manned when you need an override code. Overall, a great Kroger location and definitly good for the weekly grocery trip. read more

The services is unpredictable. My biggest problem is the inconsistency of meat cuts. For example, I just bought beef top sirloin steak that is nearly all tendon and gristle. It's a waste of $10. The best part is that they hide the gristle on the underside of the meat so that it looks like you're actually getting edible meat... but when you turn over the pieces, you realize that you're not going to be able to eat most of it. I would steer clear of this store until they get their priorities in order again. Things just keep going wrong! A week ago I am there to pick up a few items. I had to clean trash out of the shopping cart. (One of many). When I went to check out, there were 7 customers in line. I ask the check to call for another checker. He replied (resignedly) that they won't open another line. A women walked by our line 3 times wearing a "1 in customer service" vest. Yesterday I once again cleaned trash out of my grocery cart and found a trash can. In the deli section I found an employee and asked about the possibility of carrying a specific product. He said it's not going to happen. "If it's not in the setup from Cincinnati we are not going to carry it!" When I went to check out, once again six and seven deep but went quick. Today I purchased a $17.00 buffalo steak in the meat department. After getting home and getting all prepared I opened the packaging only to inhale a horrible smell. The meat was over two and a half weeks expired. My fault for trusting them and getting busy and not checking the date. Management of this store has always been less than intelligent. Horribly run. Did get a refund at seven o clock tonight. My sandwich I ended up eating was ok. It didn't come from here I suggest checking their products carefully before serving your family read more

It's the holidays. I called in a meet order to this Kroger location and when I went to pick it up the gentlemen working at the time could not find it. It's the holidays and I understand that things happen but this post is to applaud the herculean effort to provide the expected service. While in the store the meat associate, several managers and the store manager attempted to find my order. When they couldn't the store manager ask for my name and phone number and permission to find/resolve the lost order overnight and that they would call me in the morning. 7:34 am the meat manager called me to apologize and to let me know that the order was ready for pickup. As a bonus they gave me a discount. Things happen, especially during the holidays but, it was the sincere effort to value me as a customer that I was 5-star impressed by. I took the woman I care for to this Kroger for the first time and the lay out was a bit tricky to fund stuff. Once we gathered everything, there was only two lanes open with cashiers, so we decided to use the self check out thinking surely this would be quicker but unfortunately every other item a prompt saying help is on the way would pop up and a woman had to use her card to get past this. This was the worst self check out machine and process we've ever experienced and she is 81 years old, so you know she's seen different stores and cash registers in her day. I came. I shopped. I saw some of them and I skipped others but they were there. They were present and they had intentions but they leaned badly and were stable not then. I tried to find lettuce but instead I grabbed plums which did not go to salad. I wanted salad but I received a challenge. Instead. I would beat it but I tried too many times and it kept failing for me. At least for me. For others, maybe. Not. But I have to admit that the stock was there and the produce was freshly. 2nd review. Did my last one in 2014. Made the mistake of going back (it is the closest grocery to me) and decided to try ClickList and did his 11x over the course of a 6 month period. I'm the typical busy working woman and just have to go with convenience sometimes. I do Clicklist when my week is insane and the time it would take to go in and shop just didn't work for me and my family. That said, 6x out of 11x THEY MESSED UP MY ORDER! either an item was left off (or 3 items as was the case for my most recent order) or the substitution was way off base (eg; low carb/low sugar yogurt requested and the substitute full fat/full sugar thus lots of carbs) and my personal fav, they give you completely something else and don't even tell they subbed it...like when they gave me apple juice (gross to me) instead of orange juice - I'm still scratching my head on that one. Now, before you hate on me and ask why didn't I just check the order? Well, when they bring out enough bags to fill my Honda Civic trunk, review the substitutions (yes, I asked 5em to take back and remove the yogurt)...I am paying $5 for a service that should be flawless and shouldn't have to check each item. They have it checked off on their list...but alas, i It never seems to make it into my car. So I call, complain to the manager each time, I waste my time, go back up to the freakin' store and they bring the item they "forgot". Their personal shoppers are terrible! They don't respond to feedback and couldn't help but notice on the occasions where I had to go into the store to get something because their substitution stunk, their personal shoppers are average age of 17. Now I'm not saying that there aren't some wonderful teens out there; but I don't know about you, It just seems like a stretch of responsibility for a teenager. read more
