Store layout is disorienting. Check out area was unnattentive. Bought "Tuna Lover Sushi combo" was disappointing, all rice sushi bite was topped with seaweed salad was good, the spicy tuna I had to spit out. Add more wasabi to the Sushi roll or at least add more on the side. I was hungry for a quick lunch, but I'll spend a few extra bucks elsewhere for groceries and Sushi lunch to-go. read more

There was only one checkout line open with a considerable line of customers waiting, so I asked customer service if another checker could be added. 'No,' I was icily and rudely told. Terrible customer service! After waiting in line for at least 10 minutes, clerk turned off the register light, waved his hands at us like he was shooing away an insect. Then he told us we could not checkout at that register. The lady in front of me (in a handy cart) already had her groceries on the conveyor. the clerk still tried to "shoo" her away. I left my cart, where it was and left after complaining at the service desk. read more

Now that I have stopped eating meat, I noticed that this Kroger has a lot of vegan and vegetarian-friendly products that the other larger stores in the area are lacking. Even better, they keep most of those items in the same area so you don't have to swim through meat to get to your meat substitutes. It feels considerate! The produce section may seem small but the selection is impressive. When I need to make kimchi, they have good-looking daikon and napa cabbage. And I love their "ugly" fruit section! You can get a bag of misshapen avocados or even something as exotic as starfruit at a good discount. It's a small store and can get crowded after work and on weekends, but that's the only downside that I've experienced so far. read more

Wow! Covid 19 has a positive. Senior shopping at 7am MWF(oh so early but worth getting up). Stocked shelves over the weekend, great signage to keep traffic flowing (one way marked in the floor) and a PSA that says please to not congregate ( I have always wondered why people needed to have meetings in the middle of the grocery lanes. In summary I hope Kroger continues with this service long after we have gone back to "normal". This should be the new normal at Kroger. read more

This is a fun little store. It's extremely limited on space but has a large variety of items. Love the Boar' s Head in the deli, best meats and cheeses. They recently got more tables in their produce and an expanded amount of organic produce. The store is always pretty busy and being small it is occasionally hard to get around, but the store does a fairly good job of not creating any additional blockage with stuff down the aisles. read more

I've shopped here for years. Only today did I learn that this store's customer service department is horrific. I was there today, late afternoon, busiest time of the day. There was one, very slow, very untrained and simply not prepared person, to cover the entire customer service desk, including answering phone calls, which she seemed to be the most interested in. To preface: I went through the grocery check out and realized I was being charged 10.00 more for the Bota box of wine that had been 10.00 cheaper a week ago. I went to customer service to exchange to Black Box which was ten dollars cheaper and was told I couldn't exchange because it was wine. But I went directly from the check out to the customer service!! I never left the store! She then proceeded to spend 15 minutes to very slowly process my exchange. The line behind me grew longer and longer and no managing person seemed at all concerned. This very very slow person, who seemed totally unconcerned about the line that was forming behind me, finally told me that I could not exchange the wine and seemed to be offering me some kind of coupon. I left in disgust. This store puts no effort in its customer service. I will redouble my efforts to drive south and buy from Costco, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. read more

Worst Kroger I have ever been to. Every time I go in they say the reason all but one register is closed, is because "someone" called in. At the register tonight (yes I am here waiting in line with about six people ahead of me) an older woman ringing people out was belittling a younger woman named Anushka that was bagging. This Kroger needs some work. As all of us were waiting in line the manager strolls by to get a man some lottery tickets instead of opening up another register. read more

We were impressed by the friendliness of the management staff at this Kroger. During a visit to Midland from Greensboro, NC, our car battery died in the Kroger parking lot. When I went in to ask if we could leave the car overnight (it was parked directly in front of the store), the 2 managers I spoke to seemed sympathetic and said of course we could leave the car there, no problem! It wasn't just that they let us leave the car, but how nice they were about it. (Oh, and by the way, the cashiers here are very nice too.) read more

If you like rude store clerks and even ruder customers, this is the store for you. I have shopped there several times recently and it does have a lot things going for it, but I have NEVER been acknowledged by a store clerk. That and their customer is amongst the rudest in Midland and that is saying something because Midland isn't all that friendly to begin with. read more
