Always polite - I love the Kroger app where you can enter your prescription and have it ready at the drive through or in store pickup. The staff is knowledgeable and don't forget to use you points card - those points add up for good gas discounts. read more

So pissed off with this store. My husband works late, and I'm home with our toddler, not comfortable bringing him into stores yet with corona virus cases still rising. This morning I scheduled to do grocery pick up at 5-6pm, and had a full order. I received a text at 4:26 reminding me of my pick up time. I get in the car and am over half way there, when i get a call at 4:58 from the store saying they're so sorry but they're so behind and my order won't be ready til WELL AFTER six pm. I cancelled my order and now have to wait to go grocery shopping til tomorrow when my mom can watch my son. It's very inconvenient, couldn't make what I planned for dinner, I wish we had a better grocery store option in the area. Maybe I will start taking my business to Meijer. read more

After almost a year away from shopping at this location I was appalled at the conditions of the store, the moral of the employees, and the fact that I did not see a single manager the entire time I was there (approximately an hour). I won't be back, but someone should do something about the issues there or close the doors! read more

Where do I start. My wife and I shop there off and on, mainly for sale items - if they're in stock. If they're not on the shelves, the staff (if you can find anyone willing to help) is impolite and not helpful. If you're lucky they'll "point you" in the right direction. NEVER enough staff, which is obviously a corporate decision. The aisles are frequently crowded with workers running around with carts to fill orders and they often block the aisles with no concern for the people that are shopping there in person. With Walmart and Meijer just a short ways up the road, I'm truly amazed this place is still in business. Not that I like shopping at the "SuperStores", because i don't. But it's obvious local management has no idea what they're doing and most of the employees (not all) could care less about helping. And let's not get started on all the items that they JUST put on sale being out of stock or "they're in the back, we're not allowed to stock them". BS!! Fill your damn shelves! it's not the delivery person's store, it's YOUR store! EVERY experience there is an adventure in frustration and annoyance. We've gone to shopping more frequently at local markets with the occasional trip up the road to the "big" stores. This is for the Kroger on Krafft Rd in Fort Gratiot. The one at the south end of Port Huron is run a "little" better, but still suffers from some of the same issues. read more

So, I went in to Kroger gas station recently. Many machines were not working. They had them blocked off and that was okay and all. But then I went to an open one and it proceeded and gave me .02 dollars worth of gas. I asked for help and they ignored me and went back inside because apparently this wasn't the gas clerk. So I go to the next. Then it just does not work at all. At this point I am not happy. Due to terrible service and terrible machines. read more

Pros: Clean store, organized, and modern looking. Cons: understaffed, no meat counter just prepackaged meat, long line at checkout A decent place to shop but Meijer and Wal-Mart offer so much more. read more

For some reason I have never liked this Kroger. They have basic grocery items but it's just too...average. The selection here is smaller than other grocery stores like Meijer and the store itself is outdated. Last time I went produce was in short stock and the bread section was quite chaotic and messy. read more

I WILL NEVER WILL SHOP AT ANOTHER KROGER AGAIN! I was humiliated and embarrassed by the customer service staff who decided to argue with me that I was wrong in front of customers, and all I was doing was exercising my rights as a consumer after I was over charged not once but twice, management is just as unaware of state shopping laws. Finally had ENOUGH: of the nasty men's bathroom that tonight is once again "out of order," and of the filthy bottle return room. Overflowing trash bins, sticky floor, empty carts left behind by the considerate Port Huronites who shop here not returned to the cart space inside the front door. Call the Kroger HQ in Cincinnati OH and you find out that they have ZERO live customer service people. So they really don't care what you have to go thru to spend your $ there as long as you spend it there. read more

When shopping for turkeys I had a situation with this Kroger which I have never had before. In past years I have bought more than one turkey at a time with the Kroger limit of one turkey and spending $20.00 or more for each turkey. The Kroger's stores I have bought these turkeys at were the Kroger in Mt. Morris, the Kroger on 26 mile road and Romeo Plank, the Imlay City Kroger and the Lapeer Kroger location. In some years I could not find turkeys larger than 16 lbs. at any of these Kroger's stores and went to Meijer's where again I had no problem buying more than one turkey at a time if I spent the required amount for each turkey. This year I had nothing but grief after purchasing one turkey and wanting to purchase two more. I had my wife with me who has a physical limitation which cost us time waiting for an Amigo because my wife cannot stand for long periods. I am grateful for the use of the Amigo, the only reason I mention this is because I want to state the time we spent to purchase these turkeys was rather considerable. After spending time shopping to make sure we had covered the $20 dollar limit for each turkey and after I had asked three Kroger employees if I could purchase more than one turkey by myself, I was told by a Kroger cashier working in another lane that I could not. I have the names of the employees and the manager I talked with however I do not want to state them for fear of retribution to them. I plan to send this review to Kroger Corporate Offices. A manager who I have talked with before was called and after a back and forth discussion during which I stated the question, why would I spend the time to purchase $60 of merchandise, if I could not buy the three turkeys. I was informed that I could by the three turkey's this time however that this Kroger store was strictly adhering to the one turkey per customer limit. If this limit is to be imposed, then each and every employee should state that this limit is being strictly imposed and every manager should completely back their crew members to the fullest in this situation. The main problem with this Kroger is Logistics and poor management in ordering product. The problem was not in purchasing multiple turkeys it was the size of the turkeys that was the problem. Apparently with 13 days before Thanksgiving all of the turkeys weighing over 16 lbs. have been brought in. This is why I have bought my turkeys elsewhere in past years. This Kroger has a serious problem with logistics and ordering. I usually shop on Friday late afternoon and the items on specials are all usually sold out. I like the Kroger brand Kettle popcorn and at best eight bags are brought in a week so that if you do not shop before Friday the self is empty. The fact that many, many other items are always sold out refers back to managements ordering and logistic problems. For years I have not been able to purchase the Kroger brand egg nog because this Kroger never has it on the self when I shop. I have been informed by the same manager I talked with regarding the turkeys that the distributer will not send them the Kroger brand egg nog. I think a manager who has a real interest in the store they manage should work up the supply chain to make sure that their store has the merchandise other stores have. This Kroger uses the corporate sales as bait and switch, almost never having the sale items in stock. Because of the volume of people shopping this Kroger, I guess management does not care regarding ordering enough product to supply their customers. Any management staff worth its weight knows that you cannot sell product that you don't have. I think these managers simply expect that people will buy other costlier products and do not care about continually being or running out of product. I have worked in retail. From my experience it is one of the lowest jobs on a spectrum of jobs that offer no positive self esteem to the employee. Management continually finds fault and error in one's job performance. Many times, I had managers at the daily meeting tell me we were not going to do something for a customer no matter what. I would inform the customer what the manager told me and the customer would seek the same manager who would right in front of me and the customer tell me to fulfill the customer's request. As a customer this time regarding the turkey purchase I left feeling as though I were stealing the cashier's turkeys, being informed that no more large turkeys would be brought in. I suggest to these customers to shop Wal Mart or Meijer's where they will likely have their choice of turkey size. I will also limit my shopping at this Kroger's if I even shop their again. I did not think I would have to leave the store feeling guilty because I bought merchandise. Most stores that stay in business are happy to have customers purchase more not less merchandise. read more

If by cleaner you mean there are mainly white people who shop at the north end Kroger you are correct but that has nothing to do with cleanliness. The south end Kroger is a great place to shop which I prefer over meijer and super Kmart. The prices are simply better and they carry the exact same quality items. I enjoy the south end Kroger a little better than the north end because of accessibility because of lower traffic and people who are more down to earth than people with names like dorkie k. who don't know how dumb they sound. Never seen anything that would give anyone any idea the store wasn't maintained as well as the best Krogers I've visited in 20 years. If you don't like minorities do take dorkie's advice. Btw dorkie isn't a typo. Its just a nickname ironically fittingly close to the spelling of your name. read more
