Okay, after visiting the Westerville Kroger and the Hampsted New Albany Kroger I had just about written Kroger off, as both stores are cluttered with cardboard stock boxes and just seem to not properly stock things. This store was nearly spotless.... Like out of a 10 scale its a 9.5. It has more selections of things than the Hampsted one. The aisles are free of abandoned cardboard. The workers move out of your way and when a restock cart gets full of empty cardboard board they take it into the back like they should. The shelves are stocked and fronted. They dont just place stock boxes full of cans on the shelf and leave it like a whole sale place. There isnt run over piled on the aisle, it stays in the back til needed. The sales people were helpful when I couldnt find what I needed. Self self checkout was a breeze. Whoever the manager here is needs to train the manager at Hampsted/New Albany. I wanted to go in the store to shop so that I could not only take advantage of the mega deals events but also my rebate app. First problem: I get told by the deli staff person that they were closed at 5:40 pm! To further that problem there was barely anything in the grab and go section. I then cannot find some of the items for the deals that were listed in the weekly ad in the Kroger app and no staff to even ask. I finish my shopping. There were two live cashiers. One was closed to go on their break. There was ONE open. This was at about 7:00 pm on a Friday night. I take my full grocery cart to self checkout. I am scanning my groceries, piling bags around the register and it was 3 teenagers who offered to at least get me a second cart to be helpful. Not the staff member at the self checkout who did come over once to help, only because the light was going off. Otherwise he was too busy talking to his buddies rather than paying attention to the customers. The customer service has not been stellar at this store ever. This was the worst ever. I will not be shopping at this store ever again. What's worse was the responses I got from the supposed customer service department that I emailed. The responses were vague at best and were obvious that my email was not read. read more

Not quite my favorite - but it certainly does the trick for most of my shopping needs. What it's missing - a gas station on the spot (there is a Turkey HIll down the road), most consistent deals in the reduced produce section. THe benefit of Kroger is LOTS of decently priced and large variety of store brand options. The aisles I hit are soft drinks, baking goods, pet needs and dairy items. I buy in quantity as these are my staples. Kroger usually has pretty good, cyclical sales. However, I've not seen my soft drinks drop in price in a long time. I guess the good news - prices also have not gone up. Kroger also has decent digital coupons. While their Friday Freebie is now only once a month, they still run weekend and digital deals. Well worth the time for me to log on and check it out each Friday. THe parking lot is always busy but open spots are easy to find. It's pretty easy to get in and out quickly - as long as I'm doing self serve check out. The other part I like about this store - location. Near other stops I need to make. This will definitely stay a weekly shopping stop for me. read more

Been in here a few times, but I guess I hadn't reviewed it. Typical Kroger: big, clean, pricy, not quite as big a selection as Meijer. Friendly service, good meat and produce. For social distancing, does pretty well. Entrance and exit clearly marked (and not far apart anyway.) This is my goto neighborhood grocery stop for some years now and like myself it's still functional but showing some age. Well kept, well lit parking lot shared with a long strip mall. While clean and offering many of the same amenities as other Kroger stores, deli/sushi counter, fresh meat/seafood counter, sizeable produce section, large beer/wine area but no State Liquor store. The layout of the store flows well and there's room to navigate in aisles without an excess of floor displays. While I mainly shop the outer ring of the store forgoing the prepackaged foods, the store seems well stocked for the most part although the visible shortages of the past year or so of Covidland still linger for some items at times. The produce section here is fresh, quite diverse meeting my weekly needs for the greens and great deals on seasonal fruits. The pharmacy is small but has a clinic for vaccinations in a safe, clean environment. For the most part you'll have to use the self check out here with limited hours for cashiers during most hours outside of the busiest. Kroger brand quality and price is what keeps me a regular customer of this mega grocery company. Their 'Private Selection' and 'Simple Truth' labels meet or beat national brands by a considerable amount. Overall it's a decent place for your 'grocery only' shopping, it's not a 'marketplace' version of this chain so there's no general merchandise here. While they have rearranged shelving over the years, this store is due for a remod but still doing it duty as a neighborhood grocer against a lot of nearby competition. This is not my usual Kroger, but it did the trick when I was nearby and needed a few things. There's plenty of parking out front along with a variety of other stores and shops. The moment I walked in the door the sushi station was handing out samples, ahhh the nostalgia of grocery store samples. Nice touch! The place was clean and organized and the staff was happy to help when I needed assistance in the floral department. They also had several lanes open to check out which is always important to me when going to a grocery store. If would easily recommend this Kroger to anyone looking for groceries in the area. read more

My wife has always done the grocery shopping but with the COVID-19 situation, she's been reluctant to go into any stores. Our son suggested that we try a delivery or pickup service from one of the grocery stores. On my first attempt, there were no pickup times at any of the 3 Westerville Krogers but I was able to snag a slot a week later at the Stoneridge Plaza Kroger. The 1st available time was 1 PM on Easter Sunday. After hearing horror stories on the news about the lines, etc. for pickup, I headed to the store with a certain amount of trepidation. Much to my surprise, there was no line and I was able to pull right into a pickup spot. My order was brought to the car in less than 10 minutes and I was on my way. This store was 3 marked spots for pick-up and during my visit, there were never more than 1-2 cars waiting to pull into a pick-up spot. I think Kroger's pick-up service used to be called Click-List )or something like that) but recently I've been seeing it referred to it as "pick-up". There were a few substitutions but all the substitutions were for more expensive products AT NO EXTRA COST. A nice feature on the Kroger site is that you can "start an order" with 1 or 2 items and then "modify" or add to it all week. You can modify your order up until midnight the night before your scheduled pick-up. I've started scheduling a pick-up every Thursday morning and I start a new order every Thursday afternoon. I will probably continue using the Kroger pickup service - even after the COVID-19 crisis is over. read more

Due to COVID I am spending my first Thanksgiving alone a s now with my parents who make the best Thanksgiving meal ever. I ordered my meal online for 2-4 people and it's hopes of leftovers for the next couple of days. I have to say that I am very disappointed and won't ever order from Kroger again. The meal comes with a Turkey breast, stuffing, green beans, mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes casserole. There were no instructions on the Turkey not even how many pounds it was so I would know how long to heat it up. My green bean casserole was busted and leaked in the box and I don't feel comfortable eating food that wasn't sealed and they gave me about a fourth of a cup of gravy. If I was feeding 2-4 people, there's no way there would be enough. The pack of his want rolls were fine, just wet on the outside from the leaking beans. read more

this is a nice, smaller Krogers! They have a good amount of items that are reasonably priced! They store is clean and the staff is nice.

We mainly use clicklist at this store because I'm a SAHM with 2.5 year old twins and a 2 week old newborn and we generally love it. It's much more convenient for me to not get the kids out of the car but we've recently had some issues. We've gotten the wrong items before and I thought maybe I just ordered the wrong thing but I double checked the next time and still got the wrong items. The last two times I've ordered my groceries I've had a family member pick them up because I was either in the hospital delivering my daughter, or adjusting to having 3 kids. I forgot to ask them to double check this certain item. We've also showed up for our time slot only to be told they're running 2 hours behind. I understand delays -- this was Super Bowl Sunday, but a phone call to inform me would have been nice. We ended up cancelling the order and it took FOREVER for our card to get refunded. We had to call Kroger and do a 3 way call with our bank just to get the money out back on after a week and a half of waiting. I think ClickList is a brilliant idea, but it definitely needs some work. I'm not sure if the flaws are with the system we use to order, or if its employee error. We will definitely continue to use though. These minor inconveniences are a lot easier to deal with than 3 kids under 3 in the grocery store. I assure you that nobody else in the store would enjoy their shopping experience read more

I usually stop at this Kroger everyday before I head home since I work right up the street but today was my last day. An older white lady with a pixie hair cut kicked a young kid maybe 10 and his guardian out because he was selling candy to raise money for school even thou last week there was a young white kid selling candy 2 days straight with no issue and I know most Kroger's allow kids/Girl Scouts to sell in front of the store it's not like he was inside. I didn't even bother going all the way in I just turned around and left. read more

This Kroger is just like the others, except for one thing. They seriously have the worst baggers around! Bad enough that I've e-mailed the managers before after the third or fourth time I got home to smashed food and ripped bags. I have no idea how a concept so easy could be so store-wide ignored, but they just don't seem to give a crap about your stuff. Milk on top of grapes, eggs in with 2 liters, and when they aren't mixing things in bags that shouldn't be mixed they're giving you one bag per item. With several other grocery stores close, I can't think of a single reason to visit this Kroger except for an occasional sale. read more

Plain and simple...I really like my Kroger! I know that it's not a new "Super" Kroger or has its own gas station (yet), but it's my favorite grocery store. I guess it has just simply grown on me. You know, like an old shoe that you don't want to throw out just yet. It's really a matter of repetition and habit. I know where everything is located in the store. That makes life so much simpler, doesn't it? The "older store" factor becomes meaningless really. Unlike my predecessor's review, I don't mind expired products - as long as they taste good and are on sale. I'm easy like that :) I survived four years in a fraternity. I think a recently expired food product won't kill me. Every store has them. One of the best features about this Kroger is their Customer Service personnel and procedures. Every single time I need to return or exchange a product, they never ask for a receipt and say "Go right ahead and pick out what you need. We'll take care of the rest." That definitely makes up for expired food, don't you think? In addition, their product selection is second to none and their prices are typically just right. Like I said before...I like my Kroger, so don't mess with it! I bet my Kroger can beat up your Kroger! Go ahead...I dare ya! read more

Selection, Service, & Sales I am Kroger loyal. I shop other places but this is my go to store. There are always sales to offset the prices and ways to save on top of sales (digital coupons, fuel points, gift cards, Kroger 1-2-3 card)...I use them all. The employees are friendly and helpful, if you need it. The store is clean and the selection of brands and products is vast. Today was my first time using the pharmacy. This store is one of the less inviting Krogers I have shopped in. It's an older store, so perhaps that is why. There are no real perks like a cafe, bank,etc.. A few months ago, I was shopping for a yogurt drink. They had Dannon Frusion smoothies and I was going to buy one of each flavor (they had 2 flavors in stock). I picked out the first smoothie, then reached for one of the other flavor. Having checked the expiration date just to make sure, I saw that it was like 3 weeks old. There happened to be a stock person standing close by, so I let him know. He took it to the back, while I proceeded to find a different one (hopefully not expired). Sure enough, all of the 7 or 8 smoothies of that flavor were at least 3 weeks past their expiration date. Not only was I disgusted, but rather shocked. *And not that I'm looking for a freebie, but Kroger's counterpart in California (known as Ralphs) will give a customer a free product in replace for the one that has expired, for basically doing their work for them. Of course that was not mentioned here. Oh.. and then a few weeks ago, I was checked out by a new (and young) cashier. I look very young, and I had a case of beer for my husband in my cart. She didnt' even card me. Normally I hate to be carded, but that surprised me. Thank goodness they're opening a new Kroger marketplace a few blocks down the street. Review on the Pharmacy - I moved away from Gahanna and return to fill my prescriptions here! The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. there is never a wait to pick up a prescription. It is difficult for the techs and pharmacist to visually see me at the counter due to the new store arrangements, but they're pretty quick. Whenever I have a question the pharmacist comes right over and finds the answer. I love getting text messages when my prescriptions are ready after automatic refills. There has never been any issues with insurance cards and co-insurrance cards as well. They always have my medications in stock. The wait time is pretty standard for just dropping off a prescription. Plus Kroger has one of the better government copay prescription plans which means I get free or super-low cost prescriptions. I highly recommend this pharmacy as long as everyone doesn't start going there and increase my wait time! read more

The former was a mom and pop company that has been pushed out of every Kroger in Columbus. The new supplier's quality is absolutely unacceptable and downright gross. Unfortunately this is a difficult time for everyone, but I can honestly say that choosing to do a click list was the biggest mistake. I submitted my order on Tuesday for a Saturday pick up at 11. I was called by a rep to ask if I could come between 1-2. I arrived at 1:22 and finally pulled to a spot at 2:15. This Kroger has the best meat department of any kroger in the Gahanna - New Albany area. Chuck the manager does a good job along with his staff of keeoing a variety of fresh cuts on hand at all times. I have also ordered quantities on several occasion and they have been accomodating the good on prices. As far as baggers and check out service this Kroger is not unlike many of the area Krogers. Baggers areaverage to lousy and inattentive. I find many of the checkers to be the same. Many of these staff persons are more worried about when the get to go home than providing good service. If I had a $1 for everytime I have heard baggers and checkers talk about break, going home, or other personal stuff I would get a free shopping trip. read more

My review has nothing to do with the store itself but everything to do with the pharmacy. This group of techs and pharmacists have to be the rudest bunch of people in a position customer service. I am a nurse practitioner but also a patient. I deal with a multitude of pharmacies yet time and time again I deal with this same rude young lady who never wants to give her name. Today I was fed up, I called back and spoke to the "pharmacist" Gary who acted as if he had no clue who I had spoken to and nor was he willing to figure it out. Not once did he apologize to me after I explained the incident, this time. His response was simply, "okay". I called and spoke with a store manager Taven(hopefully I spelled that correctly), who was very kind, apologetic, and concerned. Due to the kind way he treated me I am willing to allow him to try to correct the issue prior to moving up the chain and removing my medications from this pharmacy completely. When you don't feel well the last thing you need is a rude tech giving you a hard time for no good reason at all. read more

I have been shopping at the Stone Ridge Kroger's since the day it opened. I shopped at Kroger's when it was where the new annex is for Lincoln. I have watched as this store has gone down hill. The baggers used to bag your items & take them to your car & help you unload. Now when I have 2 carts, they take it out to my car & say, thanks. The first time this happened to me I was in shock, the second time it happened to me I went to the service desk to complain. They assured me this was not the way the baggers were trained & they would take care of it. It still happens every time I have 2 carts. The next thing that took me by surprise was after I gave my coupons to the cashier, he started holding each one of the coupons up saying, "did you buy this", well of course I did that's why you have the coupon. It got so bad that the guy helping bag my groceries started pulling the items out of the bags to show him that the items were purchased. I wrote a e-mail when I got home, they assured me once again that their cashier's are not trained to question customers in that manner & it would be taken care of, yes it still happens. I have never tried to pass a coupon that is not for items purchased, quantity purchased or not the item period. As for the food expiring, I agree with the post that if I know I'm buying expired items that's cool, I always look at the marked down meat. Noticed that the dairy department has gone downhill since Regina is no longer in that department. Everything was fresh & you didn't have to dig to the back or not purchase something at all because all the products are expired. It seems like you guys are always late in getting in new & special products while Giant Eagle, Meijers & Walmart have the items in for months before. The store is getting messy & more & more items are not stocked on the shelves, I can't buy what is in the back or not on the shelf. I just told my husband I'm going to try Meijers one week & Walmart the next, everyone tells me they are so much cheaper.. read more

I really like the Stoneridge store EXCEPT for the fact that management shuts down the checkout lanes later in the evening and will make a shopper with a full cart scan their stuff through the self checkout which always messes up when you have a lot to scan and you have to try to find places to put your full bags so it takes 3 times as long to get out of the store. This has happened to me multiple times so I will be giving my future business to another store if I am shopping in the evening. read more

I've never had in issue in-store; however, their clicklist customer service is pretty appalling. We've had items left out of our order because they were "out of stock," yet when we went in the store, we saw those exact items. This happpened so frequently that we called customer service. All we got from that was a survey in our emails. Once again, clicklist has not delivered on basic items that are certainly in stock (spinach, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts). We should not be paying a convenience fee for such careless service. We are very disappointed with this location. read more

Not surprising after reading some other reviews, but the Clicklist is terrible. I don't have a lot of in-store experience, but the ones I did were good. Multiple times I've had items said to be "out of stock" like eggs and milk. Come on, are you that lazy? But it wasn't enough for me to give a negative review on. Recently I placed an order at 12:00p, got a confirmation email for 8:00-9:00 pickup. Received another reminder email of the pickup. At 7:00 I got a voicemail that the order wouldn't be ready until the next day. What? So I called back and it was in fact true. I was told they were short staffed and have too many orders. Isn't there some kind of limit on orders they accept? I emailed corporate and they basically said sorry and I should talk to the manager face to face. Why is this my burden to take care of? Anyways, that's not happening because I won't be shopping there again. Have a great day! read more

Oh how I wish I could upgrade this store even after their remodel but it seems that 1) the people who did the redesign threw darts at a board and said "yeah, let's put stuff together that makes absolutely NO sense and completely ruin the flow of the store! While we're at it, let's rip the old tile off the floor and leave the old grout lines behind, sand them down and call it "industrial!" 2) My hubby laments they give out no samples anymore. This doesn't bother me as much but you could seriously tank up before if you got there in the morning and now they don't even have stands out. Guess they had to pay for the bad remodel somehow. 3) That HORRIBLE bagger. I don't even need to describe her, if you shop there, you know who I'm talking about and you purposely go to another line to avoid her. Somehow...there she is...at the end of the line and you know that you'll be making a trip back because she smashes/breaks/ruins your groceries. The level of customer service, employee engagement, and availability of items has plummeted at this location. Recently, I have noticed that shelves are bare, especially in the produce section, and the deli counter is understaffed. I went in today, a Saturday, at 11am to find the focus of the store to be stocking and not servicing. Shouldn't that have been done before 11am on a Saturday? There were 3 rejected packages of romaine lettuce that were wilted and brown, so I wasn't able to check that off my list. The deli counter had 1 person working, and that person was helping a customer who wanted a 1/4 lb of several items and gave a priority to talking on her phone instead of completing her order. At one point this customer held up her finger to the employee to indicate she needed a moment to finish her conversation before putting in her next request. There were now 3 additional customers behind me, and still no sense of urgency that another employee should be called to assist the waiting customers. After waiting an additional few minutes, I excused myself from the line and went to the customer service desk. I requested to speak with a manager about the situation at the deli counter. He was called over the loud speaker system. I waited, waited, and waited. After 5 minutes I told the woman at the service desk I was just going to finish my shopping. So, I didn't get my lettuce, I didn't get my deli meat, and I didn't get to speak with a manager. I will not be back. The only thing keeping me coming to this Kroger was its selection of Boar's Head deli meats. My family is just going to have to accept Dietz & Watson. Meijer you have a new loyal customer. read more
