Reduced produce - always hit or miss. Today a hit with 5 huge Fuji applea for 99 cents. Nothing wrong with them!
Liz A.

Not quite my favorite - but it certainly does the trick for most of my shopping needs. What it's missing - a gas station on the spot (there is a Turkey HIll down the road), most consistent deals in the reduced produce section. THe benefit of Kroger is LOTS of decently priced and large variety of store brand options. The aisles I hit are soft drinks, baking goods, pet needs and dairy items. I buy in quantity as these are my staples. Kroger usually has pretty good, cyclical sales. However, I've not seen my soft drinks drop in price in a long time. I guess the good news - prices also have not gone up. Kroger also has decent digital coupons. While their Friday Freebie is now only once a month, they still run weekend and digital deals. Well worth the time for me to log on and check it out each Friday. THe parking lot is always busy but open spots are easy to find. It's pretty easy to get in and out quickly - as long as I'm doing self serve check out. The other part I like about this store - location. Near other stops I need to make. This will definitely stay a weekly shopping stop for me.

This is not my usual Kroger, but it did the trick when I was nearby and needed a few things. There's plenty of parking out front along with a variety of other stores and shops. The moment I walked in the door the sushi station was handing out samples, ahhh the nostalgia of grocery store samples. Nice touch! The place was clean and organized and the staff was happy to help when I needed assistance in the floral department. They also had several lanes open to check out which is always important to me when going to a grocery store. If would easily recommend this Kroger to anyone looking for groceries in the area.

Cracked and broken green bean casserole. $7 down the drain.

Due to COVID I am spending my first Thanksgiving alone a s now with my parents who make the best Thanksgiving meal ever. I ordered my meal online for 2-4 people and it's hopes of leftovers for the next couple of days. I have to say that I am very disappointed and won't ever order from Kroger again. The meal comes with a Turkey breast, stuffing, green beans, mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes casserole. There were no instructions on the Turkey not even how many pounds it was so I would know how long to heat it up. My green bean casserole was busted and leaked in the box and I don't feel comfortable eating food that wasn't sealed and they gave me about a fourth of a cup of gravy. If I was feeding 2-4 people, there's no way there would be enough. The pack of his want rolls were fine, just wet on the outside from the leaking beans.

Great whole foods and healthy choice shopping at this supermarket…read more Can we talk for a minute about the great produce section? They're really a lot of great selections here. The deli and meat department are also top-notch. And there is an enormous bulk nuts and candy section where you can measure out your favorite selections and bag them. Fresh Thyme is really a unique shopping experience for groceries and even though I live close to the center of Columbus, it is well worth making the drive to come here for the quality & variety of healthy food that is available!

They have a lot of whole wheat items and vegan selections as well. Since half my family members are predominately plant based I find more selections here than I often do at whole foods. Today, I want to give a shout out to the bagger, Evan. All the baggers at this location are usually good but he was exceptional. He took care in packing my items. It was like he was a Tetris ninja. Bags weren't over or under stuffed.... Everything just fit perfectly within the bags without items being squished or packed with items that they shouldn't be packed with. (Ie: meat with fruit. Bread with cans etc). @freshthymefarmersmarket

Can't believe I haven't reviewed this before. In fact, I'm sure I have, and it wasn't a great one…read more Yelp has been weird lately. It's the closest grocery to us, and we hardly ever go there, which says something. If we need one or two things real quick we will stop by. Otherwise, generally Meijer. GE is expensive, sometimes even more than Kroger. Their selection is spotty; fine in general, but not as big as some places. Lately they have gotten rid of plastic bags, and charged for paper ones, and especially not going often I never remember to grab a bag from the car. Also, since Covid, no shopping baskets. Super annoying. And I was ready to write a bad review for today's visit (or update to my previous one, which I distinctly remember writing.) High prices on the first things I got, no baskets, not looking forward to no bags at checkout. But, we needed shredded cheese, and it was on a good sale ($1 instead of $2.39,) so I gave them a break. Then there was no line, odd for a weekend. And the clerk was nice, and gave me a bag without asking (or charging.) So, pretty good experience all in all. Still not my first choice. I only come here as a last resort. But I will try to bring a bag next time, and give them a chance to surprise me with a sale.

The vegetables were limp lifeless, and all the lettuce was brown. I tried to buy some cilantro and parsley at this location and left without it because there was so much brown. Wilted leaves on the parsley that it was limp and falling over it was insane that they were actually trying to sell the cilantro for $1.99 a bunch whoever is in charge of produce needs to be talked to other than that the store was fine and I usually have a good experience at giant eagle but not today.. on the other hand the person that checked me out, I believe her name was ELLE. She was very sweet, helpful and very courteous to me as I was checking out with my groceries hats off to her.!

I typically frequent the Sawmill location but I was at Easton anyways and it's pretty much the same if not slightly bigger. There are so many different things I love to get on a regular basis but I will highlight a few favorites in my pictures. The staff are always so friendly despite crowds and lines on weekends, and the prices are always on point. If you are busy and want to eat good food with minimal effort on budget, this is your spot.

One of my favorite things about shopping here is that it feels less like an errand and more like a fun little game to discover something new. It's the kind of thing I'd mention if someone asked, "So what did you get into this weekend?"--because yes, wandering the aisles counts as an activity in my book. You walk in and the flower section is overflowing with fresh bundles that look way more expensive than they are. I've grabbed plenty--mums, thistles, lilies--and they last longer than anything I've picked up at big chain stores. Even a $5 bouquet makes the week feel brighter. The layout is easy to navigate without feeling crowded, and the staff are always kind if you need help. You'll see everyone from college students to grandparents to parents with kids shopping, and it never feels intimidating. There's a low-key community vibe, too. People will chat about what's good, especially if you look undecided in front of the freezer section. I've ended up trying things because someone insisted I had to--like the Watermelon Cucumber Cooler. A stranger was raving about it, so I grabbed a bottle, and she was right. Make sure you drink it cold. I've been swapping snack reviews with my nephew. He's hooked on the Spicy Tempura Seaweed Snack--light, crispy, salty, with a little heat. I'm partial to their bruschetta sauce and the hot fudge, which somehow doesn't taste like the usual heavy fudge. The lemonades are usually the reason I come here. The Jalapeño Limeade, Spicy Mango Lemonade, and classic Limeade are always in my fridge. Refreshing without being too sweet, and perfect for mixing drinks. Prices are fair enough that you can try something new without feeling like you've splurged. Whether you eat vegan, gluten-free, or just want to try something different, there's something here for everyone. The freezer meals can be hit or miss. Some need a little extra seasoning, but the Chicken Shawarma Bowl is a solid quick lunch. If you have an air fryer, grab the Jalapeño & Cream Cheese Crispy Wontons--they turn out golden and crunchy every time. Their sauces deserve a shoutout. The Peri-Peri Sauce is fantastic on tacos or eggs--tangy, smoky, and way more flavorful than you'd expect for a $3 bottle. And while you're in line, don't skip the greeting cards. They're 99 cents and surprisingly cute. Trader Joe's even has an Instagram and a podcast with recipes and ideas, which is fun if you like feeling part of the community. Overall, this is the kind of store you walk into for groceries and leave with a few treats, something new to love, and maybe a bouquet. If you've been here, share your must-try recommendations--I'm always looking for something different to throw in the cart.

Aldi sells some kringles (danishes in the shape of an O) that are made by the O.H Bakery in Wisconsin and that bakery is pretty famous. Their price point for them is excellent. They currently have an almond one and a raspberry variety. This location is a little older and I always feel it's a little dingy, but it's still very clean. It's just old and well shopped there's always a ton of people at this location. Remember to bring $.25! Otherwise, you will be carrying all your items in your hands because carts are locked up and to unlock them. One needs $.25 which you get back when you return your cart. Also remember to bring bags or else you're gonna be spending $.10 a bag. If you don't want to spend the $.10 and didn't bring a bag they often have empty boxes from stock that they will gladly let you have to put your groceries in. Aldi is fairly self serve so You dont often see a team member but whenever I have needed one they are friendly and helpful. There are certain staples that you can bet 99% of the time will be in - but others are hit or miss. However, given the quality of food and extreme savings, it is worth the minor annoyance when something you want is out of stock. I ALWAYS get my produce here. Same with canned goods and snacks. Also dairy. There are some things I buy weekly that I absolutely know they do not carry - but that's why having a Kroger down the street for my 2nd stop is just perfect. I don't recall ever having any issues with quality. But then again, there are few things that I require name brand for. (Unlike my hubby - but he buys everything name brand at Giant Eagle solely for the convenience factor - it's 1 mile from the house. When it comes to location - there is one that is convenient from one, one on the way home from work and one when I have reason to be up north of the city (heading home from my weekly trip to Cleveland perhaps). Getting a cart is easy enough - I always have plenty of quarters. I love that they always work (unlike other grocery stores) and are kept orderly outside. The cashiers are AMAZING with their speed. THey are also usually very nice. The bonus is the non-grocery items they carry. I have purchased several items of clothing that I love, shower curtains, garden supplies and even rose bushes and tree. Who wouldn't love that selection - always a surprise and in such a little store!!

I am Disappointed. Hatred, Blatant Racism, and Unconscious Bias that equate to racism are all…read morewrong. My husband and I just picked up our dinner from a local restaurant near this store. As we walked up the stairs, we exchanged greetings with another shopper (a white female). When we reached the top of the stairs, we turned left towards the bar/liquor store. A white woman who worked there was sitting at the bar reading a newspaper. She looked up over her glasses and, in a very abrupt and accusatory tone, said, "CAN I HELP YOU?" My husband instantly turned around and walked away in disappointment. I responded, "Hello, we're just looking," and followed him. While in the adjacent wine section, I told my husband, "She was kind of rude." He replied, "That's exactly why I walked away. We'll get some wine and pay downstairs." Now, stay with me for a moment. The area was well-lit, and there was a glass divider separating the two rooms. While I was considering my options for a red blend near the back wall my husband looked at the white wines. In a more welcoming tone, the same woman who had been sitting at the bar addressed another shopper (a white male) in a very welcoming and charismatic voice, saying, "Hi, how are you? What can I help you with?" as she walked over to him with a smile. I instantly recognized the difference in her demeanor. Even my husband noted, "She didn't talk to us like that." We then proceeded downstairs to the customer service desk. My husband felt I shouldn't share my concerns because this behavior happens daily, and he believed nothing would change. However, I decided to speak with the manager, Sabrina, who kindly listened to my experience. Sabrina responded by saying "Well, I've never had anyone else complain about her as an associate and repeated it to me twice before saying, but I'll look at it." That was not the response I was hoping for; an apology would have been welcomed. However, I honestly do not know what I expected. I do not want the associate to lose her job or anything crazy, but her attitude toward us was crazy and offensive. Should she be educated? Yes, absolutely. Had the roles been reversed, I would have likely been fired, handcuffed by an all-white group of Bexley Police officers, and charged with assault and misconduct of some magnitude. Or I could have reacted in the same way as the associate, inappropriate, disrespectful, and racist, and I still would have been arrested in the same manner mentioned above. I'm so sick and tired of the racism and hostility. My husband and I are educated, working-class humans who respect others and deserve to be treated equally, just like every other customer, no matter what we look like or how we identify. We may be only two of many shoppers, but I will not be returning to the store at all. I am disappointed. Hatred, blatant racism, and unconscious bias that equates to racism are all wrong.
