First off, plenty of parking. Bonus. When you walk into the store, everything smells clean and fresh. The grocery section is well organized. The produce section is overflowing with fresh veggies that are well-priced. You can find most everything you are looking for at a grocery store. In the back of the store, they have a deli and a little taco shop. There are tables and chairs, so you can eat there or take your food to go. My husband got two Quesabirria Tacos and a side of rice and beans. I ordered three street-style tacos: Carnitas, Barbaco and Pescado, which was grilled. I also ordered a side of plantains. Throw in a bottle of water and the total bill was $31. There was so much food that I had to take the rice and beans, 2 tacos and my plantains home. I just could not eat any more! They have housemade salsa that they sell in pint containers. The Salsa Verde was so delicious that I have been putting it on all my food this past week. It's spicy but not overpowering. I'm going back just to get more of that salsa! Reading the comments from the Instragram post, people told the IG poster not to give away locals' secrets. This definitely is a hidden gem!

Even with a smaller space, they have this placed packed with all the goods from a small produce and veggie section, packaged meat, freezer, rice, dry goods, snacks, drinks, toiletries, etc...and of course they have a meat/seafood counter where you can get the freshest of proteins! I would like a bit more selection of pre-packaged/bulk meats on the shelves as the lines for the meat counter along with the line for the cocina can become overwhelming. While the store is packed with goods, this is a great thing, but also makes it hard to maneuver as the aisles and spaces are pretty small. A lot of "excuse me", "my bad" while shopping. Speaking of the cocina...in the back of the store you will find a small counter where they are slinging the freshest tacos, quesadillas, birria, nachos, tamales and more! While I may not pick up groceries on each visit, I do always make sure to pick up a taco or three to go! If you want to eat in, they do have a few tables as well. Service is always friendly and they are staffed well, notably for the busier times...which is more times than not, especially on the weekends! Condition of the store is decent. The shopping plaza is pretty unsavory, but once you get inside you are good and things turn around! Overall, great spot in Madison!

This store is a larger footprint, and features a separate and dedicated entrance for the pharmacy/little clinic. The store is well laid out, well kept and clean. Shelves were stocked and easy to navigate. Service was friendly at the register and on the floor. They do have a gas station, however it is oddly located across Main Street where the old Kroger used to be. Overall, if I was closer to Hendersonville, this would definitely be my go-to Kroger location!

Never ever go to this Kroger EVER !!!! Go to Publix Never shop here at Kroger . They're worse than Antioch . Why doesn't anyone actually open check outs anymore . Why ! ? There's plenty of employees standing around not even acting like they enjoy working at all but even less here . The only thing we really have to watch and show competitively is meat, although they win out half the time. Canned veggies and fruits are staples and always cheaper unless you see a really good sale elsewhere. This store has really saved us $$ on our grocery budget.

And for the most part, I am satisfied. There are some inconveniences, but they are all tolerable, and not worth making Aldi an intolerable place to shop, but overall, I like it, and will certainly return. To begin the store is excellently clean, and well organized. The place is perfectly well lit, and all items are perfectly easy to find. Beyond this, the store does not suffer from the annoying (and intentional) habit, of putting basics, such as bread, produce, dairy, and meats at different ends of the store. All are practically lined up in the rear of the store, which is welcome. Prices are very satisfactory; I examined prices of items including milk, eggs, soda, and frozen foods, and indeed found them similar, or even cheaper than Walmart. They rely heavily on store brands, leaving the customer with few nationally known, and almost devoid of premium items. This is understandable, and keeps prices down, as they don't have to raise the generic prices in order to subsidize costs of the national brands. The merchandising is minimal, and many of the products rest on boxes of the same product, crates, or basic metal shelving. Pricing is very clear. The cart and checkout are moderately inconvenient, but they make sense for price purposes. Bring a quarter, as you put it into a slot for a refundable slot to unlock the cart, which you get back once you bring it back to the cart area. They charge for bags, but the costs are small, and they welcome bringing your own bags. They don't credit cards, per se. But debit cards with PINs are allowed, bypassing credit card charges which are normal built into prices. I like it and will certainly go back.

The produce and meat departments are always kept well stocked and everything is super fresh. The food from the hot bar is also super yummy! I love the pot roast. Every Friday is Fish Fry Friday. They also have a large variety of Boars Head Meats in the deli and have sales on the meats every Tuesday. They make the best cakes too! Mike, the owner, is a great guy and is in the store daily working right along side his employees. I've often seen him stocking shelves, working a register or assisting customers. The store is clean and well kept, and every register is open so there are no long waits. Keep a look out for Mike's truckload meat sale. It happens twice a year and is a great time to stock up!!
