This Kroger, located on Glenbrook Way in the middle of all the excitement in Hendersonville is a solid Kroger location. I do not normally shop here as my go-to Kroger is in Goodlettsville, but when I make my weekend Costco runs, popping into this location is a solid experience. Love the layout, shelves are always stocked and aisles clear. Can usually find what I am looking for without issue. My only concern with products I have picked up here would be the freshness of the fruits/veggies. My latest trip I picked up oranges and cucumber, and had to plan to use them on the next evenings dinner. When I went to use one of the oranges was moldy and the cucumber had started to become soft. I don't expect fruits and veggies to last for weeks, but I do expect a good 24 hours. Service is okay here. They have a healthy amount of self-check, but I have found the self-check cashiers are not super attentive and tend to get caught in conversation with each other. When the lines are not wild, I prefer to go through a standard check out lane. Service is always a bit better there. Overall, decent Kroger. Not my go-to, but that is mainly due to location. Solid 3.5 stars, so I will toss up to 4 for them. read more

Numerous Times I've complained about the Deli Workers not wearing a beard net to keep their facial hair from getting into the deli meat they are cutting, Apparently it falls on Deaf Ears ! I would have given a little better score, but I am so aggravated and tired of ALWAYS finding errors on my receipt and always in their favor. Watch your receipts. You will notice that many items are way higher than the sticker price on the shelf. Price gouging, false advertising and of course the usual poor quality that shows up in dairy and produce all the time. Things soured, rotten, molding the day after purchase. This Kroger added more u scans because they have hired the laziest humans on earth. I went in there today on a Friday, September 25th at 6:15pm and they had NO LANES OPEN FOR LARGE ORDERS (I GUESS SINCE THEY ADDED EXTRA U SCANS THAT THEY THINK THEY CAN STAND AROUND AND GET PAID WHILE THE CUSTOMERS DO WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO BE DOING) they had 3 employees standing in lane 4, the 2 guys were seeing whos hands were the biggest standing and the female was acting (stalling) like she was wiping the conveyor off and talking to the guys while they had the lane closed and the u scans were backed up!!! We realize that business's are needing help but for the past 3 weeks the Dairy department smells sour . The smell is horrible , enough to make you want to shop elsewhere . The Deli was closed at 3:00 due to be short staffed . We have now switched to Publix , it's much cleaner . read more

Nice location with ample parking and quality selections. We don't mind making the trip from East Nashville to enjoy the quality this store offers on a daily basis. The prices are fair and deals are plentiful. I enjoy walking to the stores in the complex and killing time while the wife collects the provisions. Make the trip it's worth it! read more

I know they close the fuel center at 10pm I arrive 5 minutes before closing. the person working the fuel center was running around putting things away and ignoring me standing at the window register. after being there for four minutes he walks into the booth and shuts the blinds on me. I asked hey can't I get gas first I am paying cash. I was told no that he already turned I his register and turned the machine for cards off. I've tried, oh how I've tried, to give this Kroger location a chance, over and over, but every visit I am left with such a feeling of disappointment. The store itself is clean enough, the shelves are well-stocked, and I can definitely locate some particular favorite items that are generally hard to find in other stores. Some of the prices are outrageous as expected. For instance, a pint of So Delicious nondairy frozen dessert was about $6.49 yet I found the same product at Walmart of all places, and theirs was $4.79 at the time. Walmart has since increased this item to I think $5.24, I haven't price-checked it for a few months. Regardless of the shopping experience, it's the checkout process that leaves that lingering feeling of discomfort. There's something about the employee's attitudes, I don't know if it's that some resent being there or what. It's common that I'm ignored whilst the cashier and bagger are engaging in everyday conversation. I've also experienced a cashier or bagger flip through my magazine purchase or peruse an uncommon product before putting it into the bag. My most recent trip, however, has pretty much clinched where I shop (or rather, avoid) in the future. I only needed two sweet potatoes to accompany dinner so I went from my home to the closest grocery, which is Glenbrook Kroger. I decided to also purchase two of those nondairy frozen products that I'm not easily able to locate elsewhere. After payment and exiting, it didn't occur to me to check inside the bag, being preoccupied with the time of day and wanting to get dinner ready on time. When I got home and put the frozen items away I realized they were the only items in the bag. Really, I only purchased 4 items, 2 of which were the sweet potatoes in a single plastic baggie, and neither the cashier (Chris, receipt operator 182) nor the bag girl could make sure I took home what I paid for? Out of sheer frustration I called the store and explained to the "Customer Service" person what happened and, no surprise, I was given permission to pick up two sweet potatoes at no additional charge. There was no acknowledgment as to the level of frustration, disappointment and inconvenience this lack of service caused. I also notified Corporate via web and a few weeks later did get a call from the store manager apologizing for my inconvenience and was told that if I ever had trouble in the future, to give her a call directly. I am confident that I won't need to contact her, because I will instead travel further to shop elsewhere. read more

I've shopped at various Kroger locations in Atlanta and other Nashville locations. Hands down, this location is the worst. I only shop there because my wife will ask me to pick up something home from work. I get frustrated at their customer service. No acknowledgement that there is a problem. Only they will fix it and here's a refund. If a store doesn't have good customer service, I don't care how great the product is, I won't buy it. We've gotten to the point of not going there for fresh produce. We'll drive to Publix which is way out of the way for us on some occassions to get what we need. About the only things we buy there are milk, deli meat and drinks. Not too difficult to mess those up. Otherwise, we head to Publix. read more

The management at this Kroger seems to be absolutely clueless when it comes to adequate inventory stocking. Compared to other Kroger stores in the area they consistently run out of sale items as if it's almost intentional. The employees don't acknowledge as you passed them and seem to hate their jobs. The problem with this Kroger is its employees. They are not friendly except for the guy at the self-checkout. Everyone else gives you a blank look and doesn't ask if you need any help finding something even after you pass them 2 or 3 times. I'll be shopping at Publix where they care about customer service and make you feel welcome in their store. read more

Nice and clean. Friendly staff. The Pharmacy is very helpful and nice when you pick up or drop off your scripts.

There are two major problems with this Kroger location, which I will detail for yesterday's visit. I accompanied someone who was picking up a medication at the pharmacy, which is far and above the best part of this location. Walking in, at 7:40 PM, I was assaulted with the effluvia of fish. An immediate allergic reaction as my skin started to crawl and I felt like I was breaking out. I stopped at the customer service desk to comment and ask why they can't ventilate the store, where the guy on duty finished his conversation with someone else, looked at me, and walked away. He stopped to talk to an employee, then went to give whatever aid she requested, and just kept going to the back of the store. I waited a few minutes (5 by my watch) then went to look at the fresh fruit. Do you know how difficult it is to even contemplate buying fruit when your stomach is roiling from the heavy fish stink? So there you have it - problem 1 is the fish reek (which seems to be true in all Kroger locations at least in this area) and problem 2 is the failure to recognize that someone waiting in line at the customer service desk might actually want something. read more

This location is one of the most convenient spots to pick up groceries at any hour of the day (or night!). The workers at the Deli and Meat/Seafood counter are very courteous and really helpful. I've rarely if ever been unable to find what I've needed at this store location. They also have these freshly made baked chickens that are small enough to be a quick and easy meal for when you're in a pinch. One of the few gripes I have would be that the Seafood/Meat counter is sometimes left unattended for moderate periods of time, causing me to just wait around awkwardly since there's absolutely no one in sight. I also once picked up a rib-eye steak and it had some spotted, green foul smelling bits (definitely not the benign graying meat can go through). Other than these disappointing experiences, this Kroger is an all around great place to do your shopping at. read more

Latley every time I visit a Kroger I come out mad...Maybe I have gotten use to going to Publix..They are sooo helpful in find you a item and thet are in a good mood. The last time I went to a Kroger I left so mad I said I would never go back..I had bought nearly $100 and had to ask 2 times if anyone could help me out to car... this kroger is an all around mess. lets start with the most common issues you'll have while shopping here. many things are out of stock. there have been times when their milk fridge was at least 80% empty. imagine going to a grocery store and not being able to get some damn milk. this stocking problem is present throughout the store, so good luck finding what you need. the produce section is often full of mold, no joke. the management is awful, so the employees are no help. but be nice to them, they have the misfortune of working at the glenbrook kroger. please, DO NOT BOTHER TRYING KROGER PICKUP. since these pickup options are popping up at every store now, of course kroger has one too. if you try this, you'll likely wait longer than it would take you to go in the store yourself. many of your items will likely be missing or badly substituted. i can't say all krogers are like this, but this one sure is. you arent saving any time or money with this option. dont bother. if you want a satisfying shopping experience, for the love of all that is holy, avoid this kroger. read more

I just wanted to give a shout out to this store for their generosity! I'm one of the organizers for "Gobble Gobble Give Nashville" where we invite the public to bring a heated family sized dish, clothes, etc to deliver out to the people down on their luck on Thanksgiving morning.
