Short and sweet review to call out stellar customer service during a busy holiday season! Trader Joe's is typically my go-to shopping destination for MOST grocery items (emphasis on most, since we sadly can't always get everything we need here!) I alternate between visiting this location and the Green Hills location depending on what part of town I'm in. After a quick Target run, my husband and I stopped by this TJ's on a Saturday evening. I should set the scene a bit more for you ... this was a Saturday smack-dab in the middle of December, and all of the holiday hustle-and-bustle that comes with that. We could hardly find a parking spot in the lot ... but we knew what we were getting ourselves into. We grabbed a basket and had just a few items on our list. I headed up to check out while my husband searched for one last item ... a can of fire-roasted tomatoes. I let my friendly cashier know that he'd be joining us momentarily with the tomatoes, and she smiled and let me know that it was no worry at all. When he came to the register empty-handed, she asked another team member to look up the item and help us find it. She then cashed me out, and let me know that if they found the tomatoes, she'd just give them to us. The other team member was able to find them for us, and the team happily sent us on our way. I wish I had caught this cashier's name, because we are so grateful for the attention and level of care that was provided to us on a holiday weekend ... all for a can of tomatoes. While this interaction might seem small or insignificant to some, it's an important reminder to me of why I choose to spend my money at retailers like Trader Joe's that truly care about their customers. read more

I've often wondered what a TJ's would be like outside of AZ. The layout is a little smaller than the one I usually shop at. I love all the flowers outside the store and fresh fruits and vegetables. You can find unique foods here. Korean jap chae, bulgogi, gluten free options. It would be difficult to do all your grocery shopping here. It's fun to find unique and different ingredients and food choices. The service was excellent! read more

Ah Trader Joe's... This Trader Joe's sits amongst all the craziness that is White Bridge and while it sits wall to wall with everyone, it stands along as a fantastic spot to get all the things you need and never knew you needed, while making yourself feel healthier and boujee for a few moments. Much like all other Trader Joe's, this location has all the amazing things from frozen, fresh fruit, all the cheeses, great wine selection, phenomenal snacks and so much more! This store always has full stocked shelves, because the team here are always working the floor and getting those goods put on the shelves as fast as we can remove them! I've been shopping at TJ's forever. They have stuff other stores don't have and at good prices. People here are always nice and very helpful if you can't find something. Today they went beyond the call. So hot today and it was at rush hour I finished shopping. I put my groceries in an insulated bag and upon hearing that I had an hour drive home the checker offered some frozen water bottles to keep my food cold on the drive. The bagger went and got them. This Trader Joe's does it right. There's ample parking and the store itself is larger than its neighbor on Hillsboro. It's laid out like most TJ's so navigation isn't difficult. The employees at this location are always 5-star. They're attentive, helpful, and seem to genuinely love what they do. The only thing that can cause some confusion is they seem to rearrange the aisles quite a bit. Last time you think the spices are at the front of the store then you go back and they've moved. I'm sure they have a reason for this and it doesn't take away from the experience whatsoever, but it is something to keep in mind. read more

This is by far one of the friendliest grocery stories I've frequented, and that includes Trader Joe's from other towns and cities. Every time I'm ready to check out, the cashiers go above and beyond in terms of friendliness. I would go so far as to say that they are hospitable in the way they treat shoppers. If you're familiar with Trader Joe's, they have in-house generic branding of nearly all their products with reasonable price tags attached to each items. I'm always impressed by all of their sections but especially their price of certain specialty household items like dryer wool balls. Their price for a pack of four was cheaper than many websites and brick-and-mortar stores in the area. Any trip to Trader Joe's feels more like a leisurely activity than a shopping chore that needs to get done. The last time my partner and I went here, the lovely cashier asked about my expected due date (which is drawing quite near). She asked us to wait a minute and pulled a small bouquet of flowers for us, gratuit. I was incredibly touched, and I can honestly say no that I have never received such a kind gesture from any cashier in any other store. Fantastic service, bar none. read more

IMO, this is the biggest indicator that Music City has officially arrived. :) It has everything you would expect in a Trader Joe's.... crowds, reasonably priced fresh flowers, yummy free samples, cheerful employees, seasonal treats and amazing/on trend house brand goods. I've been to numerous Trader Joe's throughout my travels and ALL have been exceptional. This location was no exception and was on par with the rest - typical Trader Joe's quality in terms of products and service. Want to give a shout out to Adam and Mya for helping us locate some vegan treats for one of our friends. Surprisingly difficult task without help. Staff were super helpful and friendly, as usual. Seems a bit smaller here compared to the Green Hills location. I did like the way their condiment and spice aisle was organized differently. Because it's smaller the checkout lines aren't immediate. The staff were all friendly here, I interacted with several because I was looking for items I didn't find at the Green Hills location. They looked them up in the system then offered to call me when the items I was looking for came in and hold some for me. Great service! Getting in and out of the parking lot here wasn't a battle like at Green Hills, just wish they were bigger! read more

I love Trader Joe's. The staff is so nice, the products and produce are a great selection, and this new location has so much parking. They are taking the pandemic very seriously - they limit the number of customers inside, enforce masks, clean the carts and baskets between use, and offer early hours for older people. Every cashier I have ever gotten here has been the nicest human ever. They make good recommendations on new items I should try and occasionally throw in a sample of something I might like. The only thing I don't like is some items have excess packaging. Do zucchinis really need to be plastic wrapped? It's their only downfall besides the nicknames they put on certain packaging, which is actually problematic. read more

Stopped in to pick up some groceries (we really need a Trader Joe's in Williamson County). Found most of my stuff, but learned that the stuff was coming in later that night. It is about time Trader Joe's opened a much needed second location in Nashville and I love it. Staff greeted customers at the door with sanitizer and disinfected baskets that were wiped down thoroughly after each use. Unlike other grocery chains this location was pretty well stocked in week 2 of Coronavirus social distancing guidelines. They offer a variety of organic, international, gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. The fruits and vegetables are fresh but can be pricey. I especially love their organic Sunkist mandarine oranges, Fuji apples, and avocados. The best deals I find are on household and beauty items such as; peppermint toothpaste, oatmeal and honey pure vegetable soap, dish soap, lemon cough drops, and soy candles. The products don't agitate my allergies or irritate my delicate skin and leaves me feeling clean and fresh. That's important right?!?!?! It is always a pleasure to shop at TJ's and confident that I am getting quality products at reasonable prices. read more

Trader Joe's, let me count the ways I love you. Here are a few of my favorite things: cauliflower gnocchi, gyoza sauce, sweet chili sauce, tomato feta soup, Indian style frozen meals, pre-marinated meats (shout out to beef bulgogi and chicken thigh shawarma), always having shallots in stock, cashew queso and soy chorizo (best eaten together) and plantain chips. Free samples, although not now with the country being safe as it is. On that note, thank you to Trader Joe's for being so on top of cleanliness and safety if customers and your staff. I am in awe of the measures you continue to go to in order to provide all the best shopping experience. Yes, there is a line now, but yes it is worth it. A few weeks ago I was there on a Sunday and was told to pick out any flowers sitting up on the window sill to take home. When I asked why, I was told they donate/take the flowers a few days old to nursing homes each week for them to enjoy. My heart melted! While they are not allowed to do so right now, it made me think even higher if my favorite grocery store. Thank you for all you do, TJ! read more

I love Trader Joe's and I am so happy they opened near Sylvan Park!!! No more trips to Green Hills! I can even bike ride to it from my home all through the greenway !!! I haven't seen this volume of parking lot activity in a long time!! With TJs as an anchor now, Sushi Train Sonobana and the entire plaza has got to be elated with the increased exposure ! PRO TIP - besides biking the greenway to it there is more parking in back of the store! Only one thing! Please consult me on the design ! Horses ? We have a race but it's not as big a deal as country music ! I used to live In Lexington, Kentucky and worked at WKYT where my office overlooked a horse farm. Current working horse farms and the Derby. That's just not Nashville! And technically the store isn't in Belle Meade. Most importantly- Finally!!!! Yay!!!! Thank you Trader Joe's! So...I haven't shopped at a Trader Joe's in a bit but we had a list of items that were a bit on the specialty side and thought we'd managed to snag them all at the closest TJs since our local grocers didn't have them...and, they didn't have any of them. Maybe Trader Joe's isn't there for the type of things I've always thought they were there for? For the record we wanted ground lamb, sardine oil, some atypical spices, and vegan chorizo. I know these aren't common products but I thought they were the type of products one finds at a Trader Joe's and I suppose I was wrong. I found this Trader Joe's to a be bit smaller than the Green Hills location, but the setup inside is well utilized. For their first day open, they handed out free reusable TJ bags. I snagged 2 though this might not have been intentionally since one was in the other. I really liked the horse theme. It is appropriately fitting for Belle Meade. Belle Meade Plantation had many successful thoroughbred studs, including Enquirer and Bonnie Scotland, whose bloodlines still dominate modern racing today. What a nice touch to add. I did not have any trouble navigating the new location. It is very similar in placement of items like the Green Hills location. The store is also small enough where you can take once glance and head into the direction you need to get what you need to get. Parking is busy. You're sharing it with a plaza that has several eateries, businesses and what not in your typical strip mall. Be mindful that it should be easier to maneuver than Green Hills parking lot as it is not as compact, but it still is super busy. read more

FINALLY Nashville has a second Trader Joe's location and oh man, let me tell you about that parking lot... The other location was a nightmare in terms of parking (I avoided visiting because of it), but the new location has a HUGE parking lot with nicely spaced spots and I didn't turn into a bundle of nerves trying to park (whew...) The store seems a bit smaller than normal, but it's laid out nicely and everything is super organized. The employees I came into contact with were all super busy restocking but each one made a point to smile and say hello. So glad this location is now open and I will be a regular visitor. read more

The only reason why I am giving this location 4 stars instead of 5 is because recently the shelves have been a bit empty, but that also could be because of how new this location is and how much foot traffic they receive on a daily basis. Sooooo let me start by sharing that after 5 years of my life in Nashville I now have the option to choose which Trader Joe's I head to - that alone warrants 5-stars. Ok now for the good stuff! This TJ's is in a large outdoor mall yes you guessed it ACTUAL PARKING - even if you have to park far the point is you can park. The inside is in the same format as all TJ's but I will say it seems much more spacious. Also seems like they have everything in such a way that you don't feel crowded. The staff as usual was great and I'll say spectacular- they know it's a new store and are welcoming, efficient & ready to assist without being pushy. I'm so excited for this location and plan on putting it in my rotation. Thanks TJ's for yet again giving me a home away from home feeling! I just "discovered" Trader Joe's a few weeks ago. By "discovered," I mean that I knew it existed, but I'd never bothered to go, as both locations are a bit of a drive for me, and from what I'd heard, they only sold organic and health food, which in most grocery stores is more expensive. I decided to bite the bullet a few weeks ago, and boy, am I glad I did! This place has great quality and healthy food without the expensive price tag! The organic groceries at TJ's are cheaper than the "normal" groceries at Kroger or Publix for the most part. And everything I've bought there has been delicious! They have lots of stuff there that you can't get at your normal grocery store. Most of it is store brand, but the TJ's brand name groceries are not only better than Kroger's or Publix's brand name groceries but also better than many brand name groceries! That's a win-win! I also love the store layout. It's not huge and overwhelming like many stores. There are only about three aisles, and the rustic decor is warm and inviting. I can tell most of the employees genuinely enjoy their jobs and aren't just there for the paycheck. It almost makes me want to work there. And they even bag the groceries in paper bags! I enjoy being "green," and in many stores you have to specifically ask for paper bags, and that's if it's even an option. Since my neighborhood doesn't have recycling, I always feel bad throwing away plastic, but I can throw away TJ's bags guilt-free! The fact that there are no conveyor belts at the checkout lines threw me off at first. However, the kind and helpful cashiers make it easy! You just bring up your cart, and they unload it and bag everything for you. There are only a few reasons I didn't give this a full five stars. First of all, I feel that the aisles could be labeled better. The large scale stores like Kroger and Publix have aisle numbers with everything in the aisle listed on the signs. At TJ's, you kind of have to figure that out on your own. Granted, there are only three aisles, but it would still be nice. Also, they don't sell many non-food items. If you need freezer bags, toilet paper, or any other non-food household staples, you can't get it here. Bummer. The only other downside is not really their fault, but it's the location. This store is in Bellevue. The only other store in Nashville is in Green Hills. I live in north Nashville, so neither is that convenient for me. I go there anyway because it's such great value, but considering how many more grocery chains are literally all over the city, sometimes it's hard to justify driving to the other side of town when there's a Kroger just a mile down the road from me. A downtown location would be nice, as it would be more central and equally close to all neighborhoods. Fix these three issues, and I'll gladly give it five stars! read more

I know this controversial, but I just don't get people's obsession with Trader Joe's. I happen to be nearby and decided to stop in and get one or two items that I do like from them, but I find Trader Joe's a hectic shopping experience - and this new Nashville location was no different. As soon as I'm inside, I want to be out as quickly as possible (and I felt this way pre-COVID). Maybe it's because their aisles diagonally but the registers and front door face the front? It makes the store seem smaller and makes it harder to get around. It wasn't too crowded (at least I could park here, unlike the location in Green Hills where you have to stalk and prowl), and the checkout line was short, but it was still so insane inside. I will say that I appreciate their checking masks and cleaning carts outside during COVID times. But everyone's Trader Joe's obsession still escapes me. Some okay products at okay prices, but gives me the same panicked/need to escape feeling as a discount store with overcrowded racks. read more

Like the rest of the non-west Nashville residents, I'm super bummed it's literally right down the road from the other location, but I'm happy I no longer have to trek into green hills (cause let's be real, who would even want to do that?). They just opened this past Wednesday and are already doing wonders. They are attached to a strip mall sort of place, but I found it to have ample parking. Just like any grocery store in a mall location, you might not be able to park right up close. We can walk. I still get flustered in Trader Joe's because I don't know where items are and since I'm not an avid shopper there. However, this white bridge location is much more open and has wider aisles. Makes shopping more enjoyable. They were pretty sold out of most frozen selections, produce, and quite a few other items . It being their first week, I'm being lenient as they are still determining their needs. All the staff were super pleasant and helpful and many were diligently working to fill empty shelves.
