I don't always review grocery stores, but I absolutely love the Bi-Rite. It's a short distance from my apartment and I love the old school feel. It's one of the last places in Nashville where you can get a meat and three style lunch for cheap. The employees are beyond nice and you just feel like you stepped back in time every time you walk in the store. They have a great selection of produce and homemade foods too. This old school neighborhood grocery store has the best service and friendliest staff. They even ordered me Fifth Avenue candy bars that I couldn't get anywhere else in Nashville. Manager, Denise is the best. Their meat and three lunches and takeout items are fresh and delicious like homemade. You can take them out of the container put on a China plate and pretend you made them yourself. Please don't ever change. read more

I absolutely love this store. It has great produce! Also, I found a variety of everything I needed. Lots of options to choose from. Good variety of beer, cheese, and lots of grab and go options! I will be going soon for a hot lunch! The cashier was so sweet. Oh and the guy stocking in the aisle was very friendly and gave thorough directions to their restroom. A nice little neighborhood grocery market that also has a decent deli with meat and three plates. They actually have parking which makes it easy to do some quick shopping for needed items. Martin's BBQ also has one of their locations right next door so you can combine making groceries and a BBQ stop all in one. read more

I never review things but it is just such a joy going to Osbornes I wanted to take the time. The staff there are WONDERFUL. Kimberly is so sweet and the guy with the long curly brown hair is such a hoot. It really feels like a neighborhood store. They also have a remarkable selection for a small store, including great produce. It's also really well priced. I usually do my larger shops at Whole Foods but I find myself supplementing frequently with Osbornes because it's a short walk from my house and I'm consistently surprised by how much I'm able to lean on this little store without compromising on quality. Great customer service and prices at a locally owned grocery. Those are hard to find in Nashville these days.

The Bi-Rite is one of those perfect little local grocery stores right in your back yard. It's a quick in and out when you need to grab a few things and don't feel like going to a larger store like Kroger. Parking here is relatively easy, and they have a small lot right next to the building. I've never seen the lot full, as the turnaround for people shopping there is pretty quick. Inside, it's your stereotypical local grocery store. Fresh produce, USDA meats, name brand essentials, and one of the friendliest staffs at any grocery store I've ever been too. I'm guessing a lot of the people that work here are people who live in the general area of the store, because they seem to be very involved with this community and know a lot of people in there by name. Bi-Rite's prices on produce, meats, and other foods aren't that much more than if you were to go to a Kroger or Publix, but if you have a large list and have to get a lot of name brand household supplies, you might be better off going to a larger store because it can get a little pricey. Overall, Bi-Rite is the perfect place to stop or go to if you need one or two things for the house and don't want to spend too much time in a large grocery store. read more

Since I can walk to this little store I give it an A-OK for convenience. I like that I can go there for essentials like milk, bread, and eggs. They also have a good selection of produce, which surprised me. As far as other items like toiletries, paper products, meds, etc. I would recommend going elsewhere because they are a tad bit overpriced on those items. They do carry local honey if you are in to that sort of thing. Everyone who works there is super friendly and seem to enjoy their jobs, which is a welcome feeling. read more

This place is a treasure! It took me a while to figure out, but now I shop there all the time. The baked goods are amazing - especially the brownies. Never had better brownies than theirs. They've got a lot of the Southern classics here, like CocaCola cake and Chess Pie. My boyfriend loves the ham salad, which I didn't even know existed before we started coming here. They've got an excellent produce section with decent prices, and racks of brand name breads/rolls marked down to 79 cents that aren't even close to day-old!!! They've got a lunch counter that has a great menu, the people that run the place are really nice. Forget about Whole Foods and Harris Teeter. Give this place a chance - it really deserves it. read more

I like this grocery very much because I've found it to be very customer satisfaction oriented, they offer most everything you might need, and their prices can be remarkably reasonable or bargain priced. Each week they advertise special offers and bargain priced items in a 4 page flyer that usually is available as you enter their store or you can access online at the Osborne Bi Rite Belmont Blvd website. Also, you need not wander aimlessly about in a vast spaced store because, not only is this store well stocked, it's compact in size. The employees are very helpful in answering your questions or attending to your needs. And there is a deli in back that produces some delicious plates, BBQ and hamburger sandwiches, fully cooked chicken fryers or smoked chicken sections, snacks, and other interesting items such as salads, etc. I have also observed that they have improved the lighting on the outside. Finally, they are a Tennessee Lottery Retailer in case you're feeling extra lucky! read more

Great place to go pick up a few items but if you need to go pick up multiple items I suggest a bigger box store because prices are typically much higher. read more

In this age of big, anonymous box stores, it is nice to find a good local market that has friendly staff and a good selection of groceries. i am a big proponent of local businesses, and believe that we should get out and support them by buying local when we can. Osborne's Bi-Rite on Belmont has limited selection compared to a larger chain, but at the same time they have some items that come as a surprise from a local market. They have tremendous New York Strip steak at a very reasonable price! I would highly recommend shopping here. read more

I really like having an old-school neighborhood grocery that I can walk to when I need a few things- and today I found out that they carry canning jars in all sorts of shapes and sizes, which makes this place even better! (and I'd much rather buy from small independents!) I walk by here a lot, and they always have a few items of meat and produce advertized at very low prices- a good place to stretch your dollars.
