This store never has any cashiers, when they do they are rude and not helpful. Apparently it is this store's policy to have their cashiers not take your shopper card to swipe it. They are now making you do it yourself. I called corporate, and this is not Kroger policy. I think this store has management problems from the top down. Publix is now my favorite store. The store is a black hole when you walk in. your phone loses its signal, the wi fi they say they have doesn't work. You can't call to ask your wife if you're getting the correct item, or if they're out what do I do next. I can't even text out...I'm pretty sure Kroger is intentionally sabotaging marriages and relationships. we will make the wrong selection only to be chastised when we arrive home with the wrong items, horrible substitutions and an argument that will linger in my wife's mind for eternity . "Remember last time you got the wrong ice cream! Don't mess up again or it's your a$$." Kroger at crosstown is tearing the community apart 1 marriage and 1 bad grocery store decision at a time. Idk how they can block every cell phone signal and provide fake wi fi that doesn't work at all. Unbelievable... I visited this store at 8a to buy a money order. When I approached customer service the que line poles /straps were against the counter prohibiting actually walking up to the counter. There were 2 employees talking behind the counter. When I asked if they were open the female customer service person replied " no, we're closed" I said your closed? She said" yes, we're closed for the day" I responded "so I can't buy a money order?" ...., she replied "no" Why have a store open with employees at the customer service desk if you're closed for the day. I guess Publix just gained a new customer. BTW I'm in the Crosstown location almost every day, since the store opened. Customer service certainly is not their forte. read more

Today I wanted to make homemade pizzas! I went to Kroger for pizza dough and checked the deli area and the surrounding refrigerator cases to find the dough. To my surprise there was none! I asked someone and they said they had dough, but it was frozen! It would take all day to thaw and I didn't have that kind of time. This wasn't my first time looking for pizza dough at Kroger and was again disappointed that the only dough they had was frozen. I guess I will be stopping at Publix next time. read more

Of the two Krogers in PTC, I generally prefer this location. The primary reason is size. This is a newer location and they had a larger footprint within the plaza. Most of the Krogers that I've seen built in the last 10 years are more on this scale. They have the space to still leave wide aisles and have a lot of inventory. Unfortunately, the longer drive here generally means I'm shopping at the other location. The only remotely negative thing I've experienced is a higher-than-normal percentage of older shoppers with tons of coupons or issues using the self check-out. That sounds a bit like a stereotype, I know. Maybe it was just bad luck on my initial few visits, as I haven't noted it as much lately. read more

Just moved here from Cincinnati. Kroger being based in Cincy, I was excited to have one close to me. It's pretty on the outside and clean but that's about it haha! The sweet lady in the balloon and flower area is the nicest employee I've interacted with so far. When your 7 year old daughter says everyone there is grumpy and nasty and calls it the grumpy Kroger, it's definitely a problem. The cashiers hate being their and it shows. This Kroger needs a boost in attitude. I miss my Ohio marketplace Kroger so much! Publix is awesome! Truly care about you and my kids, so friendly and willing to help. Yikes, the customer service here is nonexistent. There is always a very passive-aggressive older woman with short grey hair working at the self checkout during the night time when it is the busiest. I don't know why she's working with customers, let alone during a time when there are huge lines because if you need her help, she is very unfriendly about it and passive-aggressive in general. I never run into these problems at other Kroger locations or at Publix. I was a frequent customer here and have never had a good experience with her in particular or any of the people at the gas station here. Also, watch out because this location sometimes keeps expired foods. I bought a loaf of supposedly fresh bakery bread here once and it was COMPLETELY filled with mold. Stay away from this location at all costs and go to the one across town of you can. It's a shame because this one is so close to home, but I'm really tired of having a stressful shopping experience whenever I am here. read more

This grocery store is big but their prices are very reasonable. This is especially true of shrimp which the gladly cook free of charge. We also love shopping at the pharmacy. Our doctor checks prices and Kroger is almost always the lowest priced. The fresh flowers are fresh, and the florist is helpful. The only thing I hate is that they don't carry Land of Lakes whipped cream without sugar. For that matter none of their whipped cream in a can is real. You have to go to Publix or Fresh Market for that. read more

This location has improved since it was expanded a couple of months ago. I mainly go there when I need both groceries and gas and have plenty of time. It's expanded so much that a quick trip for a few items isn't easy, but on the other hand, it does have more options and a good amount of aisle room. Other bonus is the Starbucks is full service with the full menu available. Also has its own access/exit door. read more

This Kroger is among the worst managed grocery stores I have ever visited. My visit today was over the top. Many of the items I purchased were water logged. Yes. You heard me correctly. Water logged. The egg cartons were nearly falling apart as though they had been soaked. Same with the yogurt 6 pack boxes and even the ivory soap. If this weren't bad enough, the store was unkempt and the employees were... Well, rude would have been a step up. At least if they were rude, they would have paid attention to me. I wasn't greeted at the check out register, nor was I thanked. No, I listened to the checker and the "courtesy clerk" discuss the classes they were taking this semester in high school. It's amazing to me Kroger is still in business. The business is NOT what Kroger used to be. Goodbye Kroger, hello Publix! read more

The one star reviews are true. I recently moved here from California. Yes, I know. A lot of people aren't thrilled with Californians moving to the community (I've been told many times), but give us a chance! Anyhow, had to go to the self-checkout because as usual, there was one lane with a cashier open and a long line. I was purchasing wine so had to have my ID scanned. The self-checkout cashier took one look at my ID and said "A lot of you moving here from California." She said this in a snarky tone and an eye roll. I responded with a smile and said "yes, but I'm one of the good ones!" Her response was "long as y'all leave your politics there." I was so shocked I just left without saying anything. You might laugh. I get it. But for someone who just moved here with her family and is feeling homesick, it was just a crappy thing to say. Funny enough, I made a new friend here and THE SAME WOMAN SAID THE SAME THING TO HER! She reported it to corporate. I haven't yet but I might. I see that woman in there all the time and avoid her like the plague because she makes me uncomfortable. Anyhow, wouldn't recommend this place. She's not the only grumpy cashier. Kroger really needs to have more CASHIERS!! Especially on the weekends. I just went in for 8 items (before 10:00am because I hate shopping on the weekends) and the self checkout lines were LONG. People with full baskets were in the self checkout line because there was ONLY ONE cashier!! It took me 30 minutes to just check out. That is not an exaggeration. Get your act together Kroger! The staff at PTC Kroger stand around talking and socializing but never ask if they can help you. Customer service is a joke. The shopping cart area is dirty. The lady who works in the floral dept is rude and doesn't look up so she won't have to help anyone. The deli is disgusting. I made the mistake of buying some items from there -- get this... one of the items was " fresh made pizza". My 14 yo's fav food. He wouldn't even eat it if that tells you anything. Produce?? This Kroger has the slowest and most frustrating checkout process imaginable. If you have lots of time to burn, go to this poorly managed store. You'll have plenty of time to read a copy of People Magazine in the checkout line because it is always backed up and slow moving. Typically, only one checkout line is opened and staffed no matter what time of day. Customer service is horrid. Manager is never anywhere to be seen and teenagers working there act like have no adult supervision... because they don't! Avoid this Kroger and go a little farther down Joel Cowan Pkwy to the Publix instead. I have been shopping with Kroger stores for over 20 years and this store needs a lot of help. I understand the store is under a complete renovation and I can deal with items moving around the store. However, selling rotten meats and vegetables is unacceptable. Over the last month I have arrived home and started cooking only to realize that what I had just purchased was inedible. I have been able to return the more expensive items but really didn't want to waste my time returning lettuce that was rotten in the middle when I started making a salad. Needless to say, I am not sure how much more I can stomach with this store. read more

This is the best Kroger I've shopped at and I have shopped at several stores in the metro Atlanta area. The renovation has made the store three times the original size with a larger variety of products. I have always received great customer service. I never had any problems returning anything I have purchased from this store. The Crosstown Kroger is one of the best grocery stores in PTC. My family recently moved to PTC and I have to be honest and say I was not a fan of Kroger before we moved. My past experience with Kroger had not been good. However this store has a great selection, it has always been clean, and all the staff I have interacted with have been friendly. My only issue is that if you go after 8pm there is only one register open and then self check out. I am not a fan of self check out and I wish they would keep additional registers open late since it is a 24-hour Kroger. read more

I have been shopping in this Kroger a couple of times a week for the last 18 years. Certain things have been very consistent. Poor customer service, poor store cleanliness, old looking produce and always a line if you want to use one of the full service checkouts. I know they have been working on improving the last problem but they still can't seem to get it right. Managers need to understand that having all the self checkout and the 15 items or less lanes open with only 1 full service lane open still causes people to have to wait. Open more of the unrestricted full service lanes. I don't wait 5-10 minutes to start my checkout at Publix..figure it out. That being said I do think Kroger has great dairy products and reasonable prices on everything else which keeps me coming in. I also think the Pharmacy contrary to the rest of the store has great customer service. Also a few employees in the meat section are also very nice and helpful. People working the customer service desk have always exhibited an apathetic attitude almost every time I have gone to them about anything. The new remodel of the store won't change the things that currently make it an unpleasant place to shop. Please make some meaningful changes regarding the shopping experience you provide and maybe more people would shop in your store. read more

Worst Kroger I have ever been to. I have never had a problem with Kroger until I encountered this store. Have been there sporadically over the past few years and every time we go there is some problem. They once sold us spoiled chicken and upon returning it they said that hundreds of people returned chicken because a refrigerator went bad. Many times we have gotten milk home to find it leaked in the car. Customer service is horrible. Every time we go there the baggers smash bread or something. They are handicapped but there is not enough supervision for them. They put the bread or eggs in first and then put heavy item on top. When we try to bag ourself they get mad and raise their voice at you. read more

The Kroger store is great, however, if you use clicklist be sure to check your account. My accout has had 2 fradulent charges and the manager said they have no access to it. Call the Kroger finance department and that line says due to high volume of calls cannot take your call at this time. read more

This is the worst store ever. I went in to grab bake chicken last week , well i get home half of it is still raw ( Red inside ) I just toss it out .Today i am there at Target decided to get salads and try baked chicken again same thing , I called the store Mr. Hask wasn't in spoke to assistant and he stated " Well it must be just your chicken under cooked because we have sold plenty today " My point is that wasn't the proper answer he should have came with a better apologetic response.
