For example, I live 35 minutes away and have numerous pharmacies within a 3 mile radius from me yet I choose the drive because they are by far the fastest, most reliable and most inexpensive pharmacy I've dealt with and being a nurse I've dealt with many. It's been around 6 years dealing with them now and I've had zero issues. The staff are also the friendliest and most helpful people I've ever dealt with in this area. I choose the 1 hour round trip over the 8 minute one for a reason.

I had my first refill experience this week and it was great! Although I love the Publix method which is to phone in your refills, typing in the script # and leaving any special instructions via voicemail then receiving a robo call a day or so later notifying the customer the prescription is ready for pick up and the pharmacy hours and the always quick drive through pick up, Athens Pharmacy is super responsive to phone call refill requests, and is very friendly, offering same day refills. The drive through had about 3 cars waiting when I arrived earlier this week and I just walked in, and had about a five-minute wait to complete my transaction. Well, 10minutes probably, since I accidentally dumped my wallet out at the checkout (Momma didn't name me Grace!!!) Another customer was kind enough to hand me a couple of things that fell out of my wallet that I overlooked. I enjoyed looking at the small section of what looked like hand painted Athens-themed Christmas ornaments for sale, on the way out. Thanks Athens Pharmacy for offering an old school, hometown feeling pharmacy that really offers anything you could need including greeting cards, candles and a good assortment of gift items in addition to all the standard pharmacy and home care items you are accustomed to seeing.

That's was great, but wait there's more! After confirming it in stock, I told the pharmacist that I had to call my pharmacy and transfer it to sure save. He said "I can take care of that for you so you don't have to worry about it." So here's the thing. He didn't have to do that. He took it the extra step and completely exceeded my expectations. Star staff is incredibly kind and knowledgeable. They may be busy with someone ahead of me but I never feel rushed when discussing my medications. The staff is caring and makes me feel valued. They're also great problem solvers and don't mind to call your doc for a refill. I've not noticed an increase in prescription price but if there is one I'd happily pay it to be treated well! Highly recommend! Bad service is Walgreens and CVS in South Huntsville. Star is like a spa experience compared to the others. Thank you Star pharmacy BC! You guys rock! She comes once a quarter (February, May, August, November), the first week of the month and is there for 3 days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday). She's absolutely amazing. She can do thermal imaging on the entire body and compares scans at the 3 month mark to establish a baseline. She's a world of knowledge, extremely kind, and very professional. I can't say enough kind things or recommend her enough. She does take FSA and HSA. Sheila does lymphatic massage and it's been life changing. Victoria noticed some areas that needed to be addressed. In 4 sessions with Sheila I am almost clear of everything. It is a painless enjoyable 1 hour session. Please note this is not a hands on massage rather a treatment utilizing what looks like glass bulbs. She as well takes FSA and HSA. Terry is the owner and he's amazing. I enjoyed my recent trip to this new Publix in Clift Farms. It felt a little "smallish" inside,…read moreand, of course as is the case during COVID, not all items are available. They had hand/shopping cart wipes and the store was really neat and clean, and, as others said, staff at any Publix I've been in are always very friendly and helpful! I noticed they had an abundance of "grab and go items," and somehow, I never saw the deli or the customer service area. I think the customer service desk is a hard right as you enter the store. What I really love is the Publix app. I haven't used all the features, (preloading coupons, making a shopping list, shopping the sale items via the app., etc.) I **do** love the app's touchless payment option! Just load your payment(s) (for me, that's my Visa to pay for grocery items and my FHSA card for prescription/OTC items) and you scan (or as I call it - take a picture of) the Q-code on the payment screen and voila! You've paid, and the app obtains and retains the purchase receipt. Touchless and cool. A lot of the Publix staff are not familiar with the app., and sometimes they struggle to complete the transaction, even though I announce "I am paying with the Publix app" and show them. This may add a few minutes to the transaction, and once, I had trouble scanning the Q-code due to the Plexiglass partition, but finally made it work. This is a nice Publix and I'm happy it's nearby in Clift Farms!
