My experience at this location was a good one! There were plenty of spaces to park and I was able to find what I needed quickly. They had a few organic milks in different sizes. And I needed some mascara which boasted of different brands and varieties down the Beauty Aisle. Checking out was a breeze as the self-checkouts were barely full. I did see a few employees working checkout as well, which is great. Normally I like to go to an actual person but I needed to be quick. I will point out that the gas station by this location is an Exxon/7-Eleven, not a Kroger gas station LOL. I saw the blue on the pumps and got go confused when it came up 7-Eleven instead of Kroger at the pump! My bad. read more

This is my local Kroger, and it is just ok. I will say, the pharmacy is good. I have never had any issues there, and they are timely. As for the actual store, it is surprising that it isn't better given the area. It is an older store, and recently they are moving things around on the inside, but they are not remodeling it and making it better, they're just moving stuff where you can't find it! You are lucky if there is ONE person working a check out lane, as they completely rely on self check out. The center store is good and I have no complaints. However, I have waited over 10 minutes for someone to show up to the meat counter, and the produce department isn't great. The potatos are ALWAYS green. I have literally driven down the road to the Tom thumb in Grapevine just to get potatoes. That being said, there is always someone working in the self checkout areas, and these employees are always friendly and there to help. I have also done a couple of pickups and had my groceries brought out to the car and they are always correct and the employees are nice. I mostly just wish the produce was better and they would update their app so when you ARE looking for something, the correct isle is listed on the product information page. read more

Let's start with the bad, I procrastinated, like I do and I got to Kroger at 12:45am, so i only left myself 15 minutes, yeah....my bad! Then, I dropped my money holder, didn't realize it, until I got to the register, I already felt bad, that they were on overtime and were gonna get in trouble, I then sprinted back to the register, trying not to hold them up any longer than I already was, I really did feel horrible, mainly mad at myself. IGET DONE SCANNING MY GROCERIES, which I haven't been trained to do, so I'm not that fast; the guy is basic training me, so I would move along!!! Then, I am paying, using my debit/credit care, it asks for the pin, which I don't have, cause I always always, everywhere,from North Dakota, back to Tx., not long ago, used this same card, ALOT at many different places!!!!!!!!! The guy working there says, if it's a Mastercard, you HAVE to have a pin and cannot use CREDIT, if you l don't have the pin, we can save the transaction, put your groceries in the cooler and you can come back at 6am and get them???? Again, really I deserved this and brought it on myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did also, attempt to use my Apple Pay, and before I could even get my phone out, he says, I don't know how to use "Apple Pay???"........and ma'am, we're closed! So, my real point to this story is,it was not really the rudeness of the ppl that work there, it is...the fact that I had to go home without my groceries. I even asked, if I could go out to my car and get cash and they said, no we're closed, I get it!!!! But, REALLY.....you don't take Mastercard, if you're using credit, come on!!!!....ya'll are KROGER, one of the biggest grocery store chains around! Anyway, I guess this all happened; because I was there late, but it to be or this is what I have learned over the years, if you're in a CUSTOMER SERVICE ROLL, especially a manager, I dont think they were managers though, "The Customer Is Always Right and You do what you can to help the customer, in whatever the situation may be..... Our family was visiting from out of town and stopped at the Krogers on E Southlake Blvd in Grapevine on New Years Eve to pick up a few things. We are used to HEB stores in our area which are fabulous stores known for their super friendly people and clean stores. After grabbing a couple of things we stopped at the Deli counter to get some ham. The man behind the counter, Frank, was an older man who greeted us with basically a grunt. My wife asked for the honey glazed ham and he was frustrated that he could not find it. He had to ask another employee who pointed it out in front of him, which seemed to agitate him as he slammed the case. My wife asked. If she could sample a small piece so we could see if our grandson would like it. Franks response was how much do you want. My wife replied just a small bite. Frank interrupted her and said " I know that, how much do you want me to cut". We were both sort of shocked because he was really rude in his remark. My wife again stated that we wanted to sample it to know if we wanted it first. Frank then cut her off and stated "shut up, I know that, how much should I cut" He then began slamming things around and complaining that he had to "deal with this all the time". We immediately left the counter, as did a couple of other customers, and went to seek out a manager. We found the manager, Becky, at the front and found that she was speaking to another customer who was also complaining about Frank. The manager went back to the Deli with my wife and confronted Frank, who basically just walked all over her and continued to slam things around and told her all these people were rude to him. Becky ended up cutting the ham and gave it to us without charge. Having someone like this representing your company is completely unacceptable. His behavior was not just rude, he was becoming violent. As a manager, I felt that having two separate customers come and complain about an employee's behavior, and then going back and having that same employee behave the same way towards you, would warrant having that employee immediately clock out and go home. They should not have been allowed to remain at the store and should not be allowed to come back until the incident had been reviewed by the higher-ups. I also believe that this was not the first time that this had happened as one of the other employees mentioned that Frank gets this way sometimes because his ears start to ring and it bothers him. Perhaps a job where he doesn't have direct contact with customers would be better suited for him. Obviously, I would not return to the store, even if I lived in the area. read more

Note to self. On time constraints DO NOT go here. You would think the Friday before a holiday they would be fully staffed and ready to go. NOT SO! As I finished my shopping I roll up to the registers with 4 people deep and only one true cashier open. All carts are full to the brim, like myself. Ask for more cashiers and was informed they had no one. Heard them request one but no one showed up. So 25 minutes later and checking myself out. I walked out before the person I would have been behind. And yes I left the box above the register. It wouldn't scan and no one came to assist though the register requested help. read more

Considering the area and the demographics, this store is below standard. I've given it several tries and I always seem to be there when one particular checker is working (Andrew). He's a big kid, dark hair, glasses and always smells like stale milk. He's constantly flapping his lips at other employees and must think he's a comedian. Not once did he say anything to us and had zero eye contact. Yesterday, he ran the conveyor until all the groceries were slammed against the base and then announced "I make sure it's all consolidated before I start bagging". Bread, eggs, tomatoes, all pushed into each other. Kroger is better than this. And good help is not that hard to find. It starts with good management. read more

Customer service is atrocious.Had to wait 30 minutes for associate to fix an error that meat department caused.I was passed from employee to employee for them to resolve.It was twice implied that I was dishonest. Even the cashier admitted that meat department is not well run. Management needs to address the bad attitudes of the staff. I'm not usually a "complainer" and can tolerate substandard service but the hostility is not acceptable. It is also not acceptable that when a manager is requested that the response is " I don't know where she is ". There should always be a manager on duty. read more

There are never enough cashiers or staff on hand and this location is constantly out of items I need. I can never find chorizo here and today couldn't find any unbleached flour, but there was a mess of flour on the shelves and stocks on stock of bleached flour. Today, a MANAGER checked out my groceries and I was charged for 2 parsley at 89 cents each instead of 2 cilantro, for 50 cents each. Not a huge amount of money but this isn't the first time this location's carelessness has cost me money. read more

They have a great selection in every aisle, including exotic fruits in the produce section and tons of dark chocolate variety in the healthy snack aisle. Great service in floral department! Ballon setup for party was great - and cost effective

I can't say enough how wonderful the click list service is at Kroger it's so easy to order my groceries in the convenience of my home schedule pick up time drive up pick up my groceries. The click list associates are always so nice and so accommodating if an item is out of stock they asked me if the replacement is acceptable and I get to decide They text when the order is available to pick up and I've never waited more than eight minutes for my groceries if you're not using click list.. Greasy long haired pharmacy tech is extremely rude. Asks security questions and then when you answer gets an attitude?

Called ahead and gave the store the 15 no heads up. Called when I got there and checked in. Waited 30 min, called back in and spoke to a manager. Told him no car within my eyesight had been services in over 30 min either. I was told we were still within their 60 min window. Yes, they got my order to me. Yes, it was a solid 30 min after I arrived. Is this something I would recommend... NEVER!! Is it something I would do again?... NEVER. If you do not have the staff or interest in servicing your customers, perhaps you shouldn't offer a service like this. Walmart gets my groceries out in 3 min or less! read more

Last grocery ordered we picked up was placed in the app. We picked up at our designated time. Got the groceries home, unpacked them and then saw a cockroach crawl out of one of the bags. Thankfully we saw it and were able to kill it and get the bags out of the house. Gosh knows how many we didn't see. Had the exterminator out soon after that just in case. I have a love/hate relationship with this Kroger. First, they NEVER have any carts pulled in the store. I mean not even during slower times. I always know to grab a small cart before walking in. Second, the small carts all need maintenance...I can't even remember the last time I got a small cart that didn't have a wheel issue. Because I always grab one with a wheel issue. Third, the produce is hit or miss...sometimes it looks like theyve been sitting for days. Sometimes it looks fresh ‍. Aside from that the workers are pretty nice and the rest of the store is fine just needs to be renovated badly. read more

Clean and well stocked. However, there were no baggers to bag your groceries. As high as the prices are, I refuse to bag my own groceries. The Kroger experience keeps getting worse. I came here for a few items I did not find at Trader Joe's, and it wasn't a great experience. I am not from the area and we do not have Krogers where I live, but I was here with my family and we went to Kroger to get food, drinks, etc. to have the couple days before Thanksgiving. We came here on a Monday afternoon and it was busy. We were getting rotisserie and fried chicken along with sides. We were really shopping at the hours between lunch and dinner to be able to get the fried chicken and sides, but the guy working said he would cook us some new chicken as we should not want what was left was from lunch! Thought that was great customer service from him. I went through self check out while my mother in law went through the regular check out. Unfortunately for me, I left a bag behind of pork chops that we were going to fix the following night. We realized once we got home and called Kroger. They had already noticed and put it properly stored away chilling until I was able to get back and pick up the pork. Overall a grocery store with great customer service. Only con was the timing we came, there weren't many side options other than like coleslaw, potato salad, etc. and their potato salad is not good. read more

Literally the clearance meat had labels on it stating it expires a month later. Come on, it was clearly mislabeled but at least correct it. The freezer section Was in complete disarray. This is basically a Ralph's. Yes, I'm from California and that's what they call it there. Kroger is their generic name, if you will. Like Kirkland and Costco. Anyway, during our vacation to Texas to visit family, we came to the grocery store at least once. This store is not much different than other Ralph's that I've been to, except for one MAJOR difference: it happened to be a Sunday when we came, and I found there was NO liquor for sale. None. No really, none. Apparently they only sell wine and beer. Anywhere. Hmmm, ok. I'm not sure this is considered the Bible Belt, but if it's not, maybe it should be. All I needed was an antibiotic. The Kroger pharmacy at Cross Timbers wasn't going to be able to fill my (Friday) prescription until Sunday, due to an apparent staffing shortage. I asked if they could forward my prescription to another store (something they have done in the past). I was told that I needed to call around to another Kroger store on my own to find one who could fill it sooner, so without argument, I did. I called the Southlake store. Same issue. I asked if they could check to see if another store was able to fill it sooner and the girl screamed at me. Ultimately, the script was filled, because it was apparently faster to fill my script, than to transfer it... Both techs at both stores had meltdowns over the phone (I made the mistake of calling the first one back to ask to speak to the pharmacist on duty). They both expressed they were under a tremendous amount of pressure and stress. One was overly forthcoming, seeking sympathy, the other was hostile without provocation. One girl offered me a job in the middle of her emotional spiral; Evidently, they are facing a seemingly insurmountable workload, and they feel like it is entirely on their shoulders as techs, and they are not getting paid enough. I believe that is probably true. Initially I thought the medication was on back order, which is why I called to check the status. I thought I was going to be calling my doctor back to see if there was a different medication that could be prescribed. Both girls seemed to think I knew that there was an ongoing staffing shortage. If it was on the news, I missed it ‍ I was sympathetic to a point. Once they bent toward verbal abuse, my patience deminished. I offered to take my script to a different (less stressed) pharmacy. Friday, I was so, so sick. I had a high fever, severe bronchitis and a UTI. I have diabetes, and if you know anything about the disease, then you know how much worse infections behave in our bodies. My doctor was able to work me in on Friday. He told me that I would be feeling like myself again by Monday and I was so relieved by that thought. It is now late Sunday night/early Monday morning, and I am doing much, much better. I have five tablets in my system now. My fever is broken, the constriction on my chest has freed, and my UTI is resolved. If I'd waited until Sunday, I would just now be getting started on the antibiotic, and the infection would have progressed/worsened. Kroger has been filling my prescriptions for 6-7 years now. Dear deli counter..:my wife LOVES to buy your lunch meat and cheese because she doesn't have to wait to watch every single slice materialize...but I have told her to ban Kroger lunch meat and cheese because it is sliced too darn thick. This is probably one of the best Kroger's in the area. The workers in all of the departments are very friendly and do not hesitate to answer any and all of your questions. The Southlake location is always well maintained and very clean compared to the Kroger's in Euless and Los Colinas. We use the pharmacy here quite often for mess and for travel vaccinations. The pharmacy management and the workers are caring people who with over time you can begin to develop a rapport with. Same goes for the deli people. There is a deli guy named Red who really goes above and beyond. He slices and dices for what you ask for and at the same time asks how things are going. My only complaint about this location is there it does not have a Kroger gas station. I can't blame the store in this so I won't take away a star for this reason. On occasion there might be an issue with a purchase, but have no fear the customer service depart will issue the price difference without any hassle. Extra bonus here is that there is an ample, beer and wine selection to pare with your fresh veggies, seafood and meat purchases. You might not soak all this in, in just a few visits but over time you will see why this Kroger deserves 5 stars. read more

I knew the first time I walked into this Kroger that it's a union store! I could feel it, see it and hear it. Unions are easy to spot if you have any experience with one. Not good, read this little book... I just barely gave this Kroger 2 stars, because their points rewards do add up nicely and put gas in my car regularly. Also, they have what I want but only because I know what they have. The variety & selection is terrible. Shelves are often low on supply & they've been out of certain items for months, and it's NOT supply, it's lazy ordering! The store is not as clean as a grocery store in Southlake should be. That may sound snooty but Southlake IS a wealthy area of DFW but many wealthy folk won't go here because of these complaints. This Kroger is a store that many joke about. This is a Union store and my experience with unions in aviation is they influence employees to be lazy. Unions make it difficult to be disciplined or terminated. Supervisors and managers have a hard time managing union employees because the union makes workers almost untouchable. There's lots of nice Krogers in DFW, the Southlake store isn't one of them. Supervisors are beyond rude, or there's a mental disconnect that leads them to come off as inconsiderate, eternally short tempered, and unhelpful. Do not try to buy baby formula at this store - I've asked for help and have been told twice that the key to the locked case was missing or someone took it home and they couldn't help me. Wow! I cannot believe the amount of expired items!! I have never seen that in a market before. Last time I was there, I walked over by the deli and all the pizzas in their package were filled with green mold!! Expired cheeses, expired dips, expired and spoiled herbs, expired yogurts, and more! This store is always on it's A game. Friendly staff, always clean, well stocked, big selection to choose from, fresher than fresh produce in a nice shopping center that has a well lit parking lot with plenty of spaces! Highly recommend this store. read more

Love this Kroger. The floral, produce and bakery, frozen foods departments are 5 stars. But the meat department is lacking in my opinion. Also, they have a good wine selection, but their import beers are lacking. We like Peroni and Cider beer and they do not carry much of a selection. I use Kroger because of its gas rewards and it has the biggest selection in Southlake for groceries. The prices are okay if you shop the specials.... Nice produce selection.... An issue I do have is Kroger seems to manipulate the meats - Their sodium content is higher in fresh chicken than anywhere else, so they must inject sodium to increase weight ....I no longer buy my meat here without looking at the nutrition labels - if they have not added anything it is okay - but overall I just buy everything else at this store and get my meats elsewhere. I've shopped at Kroger locations for over 20 years now. The stores tend to be fairly clean, sanely arranged and have a decent selection of goods (although some do better than others in this regard). This was my first visit to the Southlake store, located in that hoity-toity suburb where everything needs to be clean, neat and preferably part of a big chain that everyone recognizes. Bad for restaurants (IMO), but a little better for grocery stores. Coming in to the store, the upscale feel is immediately apparent. The selection of goods, the layout, the presentation - it all says "We know you have money, spend it here!". I found prices to be a tad higher than the store close to my home in Allen, but still reasonable. The produce area, in particular, looked very nice and seemed to have a good selection, but I was just there for a few dry/frozen goods. I was able to find what I needed and got checked out quickly. Bottom line, yes, it's a grocery store, but it's nice and feels inviting, and that's a big plus. read more
