Yum! Been coming here for years now. It's always my bestie and I go to when we're deciding on a place to eat. It's BYOB. No frills. It's small and can fit maybe 20 people and is constantly busy. The service is always quick and attentive. I love getting the beef salad, tom yum soup or any of their curries are delicious. This most recent visit I got the special pad Thai which comes with shrimp.

Well damn, I forgot to check in! Nevertheless, we had dinner at Krung Thep Thai Cuisine on Saturday, December 6th at 5:30. We were the only folks in the place when we arrived. The place is small and I'm sure it gets busy. It was picking up as we were finishing up. I definitely recommend making a reservation. You will need to call to make them. Our server was very sweet. We hadn't seen our friend in Chicago in a while and we spent more time catching up than we did looking at the menu. She gave us our space and didn't rush us. Once we settled in, we were ready for some delicious food and were not disappointed. We started with Crab Rangoon - Crab meat, cream cheese and celery in a crispy wanton served with sweet and sour sauce. These are definitely made in house and delicious. I wasn't thrilled with the presentation, but it didn't negatively impact the wonderful flavor of the tasty and delicately crispy puffs. We also ordered Shumai - Steamed shrimp and pork dumplings served with. special intense medium spicy soy sauce. These immediate flavor was slightly fishy, but the pork flavor quickly mellowed the taste of the shrimp and the result was wonderful. The sauce was also delicious. I'd order these again. I had Massamun Curry with Tofu and steamed brown rice. It was wonderfully flavorful and I highly recommend the brown rice. Mark had Pad Thai with Chicken. He said it was good, but not the best he's ever had. David had Udon Pad Khee Mao Shrimps - stir-fried, thick wheat four noodles with shrimps, carrot bell pepper, tomato, green bean, baby carn, basil, hot chilli pepper. The shrimp were a good size and the meal looked beautiful. He thought it was great. We opted out of dessert. We kinda stumbled on this restaurant on a walk-by. It looks like a hole in the wall from outside, but Mark loves Thai so I looked it up on Yelp. The reviews made it clear that Krung Thep was more than what it appeared. Thanks as always for the Yelp reviews that never lead us astray. We travel to Chicago plenty and stay at City Suites when we can. We will definitely come back to Krung Thep Thai Cuisine. Their menu is large; there's lots to explore.

This place is so good and it's been a while I have been here but since my friend who is Thai used to take me the have like a secret Thai menu she would order from. But loved their Thai tea and Panang curry which was filled with so many flavors. The papaya salad was my favorite and it is quite spicy but something I couldn't handle. Their crab rangroon was really crispy and you can't go wrong with that. The service was great and the ambiance inside was so nice.

Wonderful service and a beautiful presentation of food. Unfortunately it really lacked the authenticity of true Thai food. I tried many dishes the strongest one being the mango sticky rice. Nothing like juicy mango and sweet warm rice to end the meal. The chicken satay and pork skewers were also ok. If you like westernized Thai food then this is the place for you. The servers are also very nice

Best Thai restaurant I had in the state so far. This place was recommended by my Thai coworkers. The food was amazing and authentic. My all time favorite Thai food, papaya salad, was definitely the best dish. The sauce was well balanced with the spice and vinegary flavors. Everything was well marinated and flavorful. Definitely a must ordered dish. My friend and I are not super into meat, but the grilled pork next was highly recommended by our waiter. The grilled pork was not salty or overly oily. However, there's still some fatty meats. I do think it's worth a try, if you LOVE meat then this is definitely your dish. I was super excited to try Seafood Pad Cha, but I think it was just ok among the other dishes. There's a variety of seafood, but it wasn't amazing or as great as the other dishes. Seafood Tom Yum was definitely another best dish we had that day. I'm not a soup person, but I enjoyed this dish very much. There's a lot of seafood in this soup. Again, the soup is well- balanced with the sourness and spices. My friend also tried their Thai Tea and she said it is the best Thai tea she had in town so far. It's not overly sweet and the bitterness is just right. My friend and I loved all the food we ordered. This restaurant is definitely worth a try. The portion and the price is unbeatable in Chicago. The service was excellent, our server was super friendly and gave a lot of great recommendations. He made sure our first experience with the restaurant was great and memorable. The restaurant is not too big, so make a reservation if you're planning to go during the business hours/days. Overall, the restaurant is cozy and a great place to hang out. I would definitely return to have the papaya salad and seafood Tom yum soup again, and try out other options!

We either got lucky and ordered the most delicious items on the menu, or everything on the menu is amazing because we loved all three dishes equally :) The place is relatively small, so the tables are close to each other, creating intimate vibes. Here's what we ordered: Papaya Salad: So good and refreshing! The sourness of the papaya salad opens up your appetite, and it's great to share with the table. Bangkok Wrap: Not sure what I was expecting. The mackerel was crispy and pairs well with the dipping sauce that comes with it. Shrimp Tom Yum Fried Rice: So good. Tom yum flavors in fried rice are so interesting and it works! The shrimps were also jumbo and juicy. We enjoyed our dinner here and can understand why it was so crowded when we visited.

I have walked past this place several times and I know it is a good sign when it is always packed. I went with a friend and they move quickly and service is always super friendly. I ordered the beef salad and the boat noodles and both were amazing! My friend and I shared the crab rangoons and they were super cute and delicious. This was my first good thai restaurant that I've tried in Chicago and I will definitely be coming back. This is a great place to go on a date or just get dinner to catch up with friends.

I called just 30 min in advanced for a party of 6 and they made it happen so that was great. We ordered lots of food and the food was brought out as soon as it was made so we had a steady flow of hot food coming out. Staff was so sweet and accommodating and always checked in on us. I can't bring myself to give a full 5 star, though. The restaurant is pretty cramped and we sat in the back where the door to the kitchen was. The bench seating on the wall leaned forward so I was concerned about it breaking at any point. The food was delicious for the most part, but the tom yum soup seemed very sweet along with some of the other dishes we ordered. Someone in the kitchen was very generous with the sugar. Overall, I really like this place and I think you get a good amount of food per dish. The staff was lovely, too.

It is a very nice Thai restaurant! The place is small, basic but pretty decorated inside. All the furniture is in very good condition, and every time I go there, the entire place is very clean. The staff is always sweet and friendly, and the service is consistently fast even when the place is busy. The restaurant's menu is extensive and includes all the major Thai dishes. I have tried multiple meals, but my absolute favorites are the Cucumber Salad, Crab Rangoon, Chicken Satay, Chicken Pad Thai, and Pad Khee Mao (which I also like with chicken). Plus, I often order Thai Iced Tea, which is very delicious here. The prices on the menu are reasonable. My final bill is always around $25 for one appetizer, one main meal, and a drink. Portions are big and filling. Sometimes I am completely full just by ordering one main meal like Pad Thai. I have never had any issues with the food at this place. The only negative thing I can mention is the restaurant's size. It is so small that the tables are very close to each other, making it impossible to have a private romantic conversation if the place is busy; it gets super noisy when the restaurant is crowded. Also, because of how tiny everything is, you have to be careful walking around the restaurant, as there is a high chance of bumping into waiters who move around very fast serving the customers. Additionally, the restroom needs to be remodeled as it is outdated. The restaurant's location is great; it is right in the heart of Boystown, Chicago. Because it is open until late hours, many people go there to eat after bars and clubs. I absolutely recommend checking out this place if you are looking to eat Thai dishes.

Stunningly good curry. In fact it's some of the best I've had. I was pretty shocked as one doesn't usually think of Thai food and Chicago as going hand-in-hand, but this place is going to please if you're a big Thai fan like me. You can also BYOB, so bring some soju or some other drink of choice that pairs well with this cuisine. We got pork skewers for the table that started us off nicely, and I personally got the green curry with chicken. We all tried different curries and they were equally excellent. The staff were also very friendly and considerate. You owe it to yourself to pay this place a visit!

For sometime, we wanted to dine on Thai food. Joseph suggested we come here based on the Yelp reviews. After seeing Krung Thep Thai Cuisine receiving 4.5 stars, we said we have to go. So glad we came here! For starters, we ordered the chives dumplings. The dumplings tasted like what my aunt used to make. It tasted gooey on the outside and I liked the taste of fried chives in the inside. I requested for the Pad Kee Mao with no onions and no jalapeño peppers. It tasted amazing. The spices tasted perfectly balanced. Joseph chose the tofu Rama. He said it tasted fine. An added plus: We did not have to wait long for our food. Located near Target, it took us 10 minutes to walk here to Krung Thep Thai Cuisine. Being located near the shopping areas, I liked how we walked and did our window shopping afterwards. Come to Krung Thep Thai Cuisine. Bring friends, family, or a date,

SO good! Just moved to the neighborhood and I think we've found our new favorite Thai place! The prices were extremely reasonable, it's BYOB, and the food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Udon Pad Khee Mao with Shrimp. It was one of the best Thai dishes I've ever had, and I ate every last bite. My boyfriend ordered the Thai fried rice and he loved it, he can be picky, but he was raving about it. We also ordered the crab rangoon, and it was also just as good as the entrees. The food came out quickly, and the service was great as well. It's great that it's open late too for late night cravings.

That's exactly how we ended up at Del Seoul! We were walking by, saw the food, smelled all that goodness, and knew we had to stop. Even one of the diners told us the food was good and that we would enjoy it. That was all the confirmation we needed! Del Seoul is a quaint little spot with a dining area that isn't very large, along with additional seating on the side. When you enter, you place your order at the counter. One thing to know if you're dining with a group: everyone in your party must be present when ordering. We had a group of four, and they prepared a table for us. Ordering was easy, and Reilly was very friendly and helpful, which made our first visit even better. We started with the Kimchi Fries for the table. I didn't really taste much of the kimchi flavor, but the fries were still good. We also grabbed a bottle of Mango Soju to share. It wasn't overly sweet, and we decided shots were the way to go. Cheers! For my meal, I ordered the Bulgogi Bento Box, which came with grilled, thinly sliced flatiron steak with sautéed onions, an egg and scallion omelette, mixed greens with ginger vinaigrette, and steamed rice. The bulgogi was the star for me. The steak was tender, flavorful, and very tasty, and everything in the bento box worked well together. Definitely a satisfying meal! What started as a simple walk-by turned into a delicious Chicago food stop. If you're a Chicago native or visiting the city like I am, give Del Seoul a try. Sometimes you just have to follow the aroma! Five stars from me!

The Sesame-Chili Shrimp Taco was my favorite. The shrimp stayed crispy and had the best flavor. The Sambal Fish Taco was a little soggy, while the Kalbi, BBQ Pork, and BBQ Chicken were all on the drier side. I honestly still prefer traditional Mexican tacos over these. The K-Town Chicken Wings (7.5/10) were my favorite item. They weren't breaded, but the sweet soy, chili, and garlic glaze was delicious. The skin had a nice firm bite, which I really liked.

The food was completely underwhelming, and when we shared our concerns with the staff, nothing was done to address them. The service was equally disappointing. Our server spent much of the time sitting on her phone while we waited for basic service like water refills, being asked about drinks, and receiving the drinks we ordered. We repeatedly had to get up and find someone just to receive attention. As for the food, the gyoza was bland and tasted like unseasoned pork. The lemongrass beef stew curry, which was highly recommended, arrived cold, had an odd texture, and lacked any real flavor. Most shocking of all were the drunken noodles. I've ordered them countless times over the years and always considered them among the best in Chicago. This time, I couldn't get past a single bite. Every dish was left unfinished. We didn't finish a single plate and didn't take any leftovers home--something that never happens for us.
