Never had a hot burger from here and we all know these little things aren't good unless they're hot. The service is slow and the buns are always hard and stale. If my burgers are cold and stale, then that means they've been pre-cooked and laying around too long. And if they're pre-cooked... why does it take forever to go through the drive-thru? My forays into fast food are usually limited to breakfast. This Krystal's is fast, the service is friendly and the food is good. I've tried all the 'Scramblers' (breakfast in a cup, what's not to like), but my favorite by far is the Sausage Gravy Scrambler. It is consistently outstanding and highly recommended. read more

Very friendly , the workers came out to talk as they recognized us from the old neighborhood. Very nice to ensure we were having a good meal. Krystal's were nice moist buns of meat and fries and chili cheese were hot and had a good flavor. I had an electronic coupon for 2 Krystal's and drink with purchase of anything I posted in the pictures if anyone wants to use. Just bring it up and show the cashier. Good deal. I'm a fan! read more

"Did you fart? It smells like farts in here." and "It tastes like a fart in my mouth." are some of the things you may hear if you took my wife to White Castle. Luckily, this is not White Castle. While often referred to as the White Castle of the South, I do not believe this to be the case. Krystal does offer similar sized burgers, however this is the only thing they have in common. Krystal burgers are of a much better quality with much less grease, and their cheeseburgers come with pickles and mustard, which is not the case with a White Castle burger. They also offer a much larger selection of food which includes pups and chicken items. While I find their fries to be a higher quality than that of White Castle, they don't offer glorious sides such as chicken rings or cheese sticks. I have to say, though my wife loves it - I am a little sad that there is a lack of grease and a much higher ratio of meat on the buns, causing me to give them one less star than I would have at White Castle. Even though they are constantly compared to White Castle, I do think they are in a category all their own and have found myself craving them on a consistent basis. I like having them around - in the absence of White Castle. ...heck, for that - I think I will give them one more star... because I've just started craving them right now and I think I might go get some. I come here after 1 a.m. mostly, like last night. I get hungry a lot of times late at night and this place helps my cravings. I come here often and never had a problem with the service here. Sometimes it's really crowded but the employees handle it well. I have several favorites here. I go back and forth as far as what I eat all the time. One day it will be cheese Krystals, another it might be the Chiks, or Chili Cheese pups. Whatever it is, it's hot and fresh. I'm mad that they discontinued the Spicy Chiks, those were my absolute favorite!!! Maybe they will bring them back one day. I also loved the waffle fries when they had them. They had just the right amount of firmness to them. The tea is also really good here. They have a new formula and it's great. So when the hunger monster attacks me at night this place will come to the rescue!!!! read more

Since I live in a place without this food chain, it only makes sense to get my fix when one is near. Which is what I do. I love Krystal's breakfast! It's the closest to cooking breakfast myself and very affordable. For breakfast they offer homemade grits and real eggs!!! None of that egg in a carton stuff. Their breakfast platters are all cooked to order. The only items precooked during breakfast are the kyrstal sunrise sandwiches. Also you can always order kyrstal burgers 24/7. If you order a few during breakfast hours, just be ready to wait as they're cooked to order during breakfast. I ordered a kids meal with an extra cheese Krystal and bottled water to drink which came with no up-charge. My hubs orders the 5 for 5 which is a choice of 5 items from a list of choices. He ordered 2 cheese Krystal burgers, 1 Krystal Chick, 1 fry, and a corn dog. We also got an order of the new fried pimento cheese bites for checking in via yelp. I enjoyed them. read more

I get hit or miss service here. I think it depends on the shift honestly because when I'm here around lunchtime, my fries are cold and the chili is thick and too salty. I really only do the White Castle of the South when I'm in the mood for a Coke Icee 'cause there's something really magical about them. The burgers are okay but I seriously don't understand the obsession with putting mustard on everything down here. And the chicken burgers? Dried and crunchy the numerous times I've given them a shot. The buns have an oddly hard shell on the sometimes and I can tell they'd sitting out for awhile when I order these things at night. I wish they'd up the quality of their burgers 'cause it's got a lot of potential but as long as they keep selling Icees, I'll be a reluctant regular. read more

The cashier was so curt while I was placing my order at the drive-thru that I pulled off before getting to the payment window! There was an immediate feeling that she did not want to be bothered with me at all less known serve me. I could not finish a sentence before she cut me off with the "Is there anything else ma'am?" response. If you don't want my money I'll just keep it. These Urban locations are utterly ridiculous with their attitudes. I realize it is fast food and not fine dining but my goodness. I can always count on this location to be speedy. There is rarely a long wait in the drive they or inside. The speaker is always clear and the order taking a breeze. The food is ... They tasted pretty good. But you deusches that said they taste like white castles are right. If you do your homework they are. White castles came first and these are based off them. White castles are better of a food that makes your gut suffer but this is your only choice past the Mississippi. So deal with it and get off your high horse.
