A few weeks prior to the wedding, Mimi set out 2 hours on a Saturday morning to do my trial. Since I do not wear makeup on a daily basis, I told her that I wanted my makeup to look as natural as possible and my hair to look soft and romantic. The makeup turned out perfect! (I couldn't even feel the heaviness of the fake lashes!) The hair was good, but I wanted a little bit more volume and a few more soft twists. Mimi was very receptive to my feedback. On the day of the wedding, Mimi and her assistant arrived on time and ready to go. I had five bridesmaids and limited time. Mimi and her assistant worked on the bridesmaids' hairstyles together. Her assistant curled the hair while Mimi styled it. They did a great job and my girls looked awesome! I was one of those stressed out brides that had a few blemishes popping out everywhere the days leading up to the wedding. Thank goodness Mimi was there to save the day! My makeup was flawless and my hairstyle was exactly how I wanted it to be. The wedding was a full day affair (10:30 am to 11:00 pm). My makeup was able to endure all the sweat, hugs/kisses, and happy tears throughout the day. Neither I nor my girls had a hair crisis. I booked her to do my hair and makeup, the morning of my wedding day. Booking process was easy and she explained everything to me. She has her own contract which show you the prices you agreed on, plus if there's any additional services you want, you can see the prices on there too. So everything was good, up until the day of my wedding. She texted me asking if she can bring her boyfriend in the room with her. I just think that's very unprofessional since it's someone's wedding day. I hate saying no and hate confrontation. So I kindly told her that my maid of honor and I will be getting ready and showering in the room, so I don't think it would be a good idea. So she asks me again, is that a no? At that point, I was just like no, that would be uncomfortable and mentioned that there was a waiting area downstairs and a computer room if he really needed to be there. Then the morning of, she was 30 mins late! We agreed on her getting there at 7 because I had to be ready by 9. So my maid of honor and I were just in our robes, showered and ready, waiting for her. So she got there a little after 7:30. My maid of honor was so angry that she was about to call someone else to do my makeup last minute and pay any charges we needed to. So closer to 7:45, she arrives. Now at this point, we're just rushing. I wanted a relaxing morning of getting ready with my best friend, instead I was freaking out if we'll be ready in time. So she only had about 5-10 minutes to do my hair. We had already agreed on a style, and we did something close to it, just half assed. My curls were gone by the time I got to the venue, which was 5 minutes away mind you. So in my wedding pictures, my hair was flat and just wavy. When she was done, I rushed to get into my wedding dress and she rushed out of the room too since I seriously had to go. There was no breathing time. I hate that I didn't tip her, but my experience was just eh. I liked the makeup just fine, but the foundation was basically off of my entire face after an hour. And it wasn't like it was hot or anything, my wedding was in October. I hope others take my experience into consideration even though she has all 5 star reviews.

She is very talented, listens to you, and manages to make you look like a glammed up version of yourself for the big day. She has several packages to choose from, and she offers trials as well. I sent her links to my pinterest page, and she was able to get the look I was going for. I was a little concerned that the hair and makeup may not last until the wee hours of the night, but they did! So well in fact, that I had panda eyes when I tried to wash everything off, haha. Throughout the day, I had to re-touch the undereye with q-tips and YSL touch eclat, but that's pretty par for the course. The hair looked as good at the end of the night as it did in the morning for the first look. I'll attach a photo during one of the wardrobe changes, which shows my hair around 8 hours later. She gets back to you in a reasonable of time, is responsible and shows up punctually (I had a 6 am start, so this was important), and most importantly, is really good at what she does. Bonus that she was able to help lace up my corset and get me into my dress. She's a pro at veils and explaining to your party how to swap the veil for the comb as well. Plus, she's really nice and pleasant, which is helpful when you're stressed out. She packs a touch up kit for you, which has trial/deluxe products that you may need, which was a lovely bonus. Few days before our appointment, she reminded me to shampoo my hair and condition the ends - not the scalp. Love the instructions! Come the day of our appointment: I asked her to come to my home for a small travel fee, and she arrives on time. So considerate that she parked on the curb instead of the driveway! She strikes up a great conversation with my mother ; I'm more of a listener than a talker - haha! Jessie finishes my updo within an hour and I love it. It's exactly what I asked for. I appreciate that she used more Bobby pins than hairspray, so washing my hair won't be as difficult later. She hid the Bobby pins incredibly well.
