NBC is a classic destination for authentic Cantonese dim sum, and they certainly delivered. We ordered a great spread of traditional favorites--the steamed pork dumplings (siu mai) and chicken feet were piping hot with perfectly translucent, delicate wrappers, and the baked pork buns had that amazing sweet, crumbly crust. Everything tasted fresh and authentic, and the portions were satisfying. The service was fast and bustling, capturing that traditional lively dim sum atmosphere. As a nice modern convenience, paying at the end was super smooth because they accept Apple Pay, which made settling the bill quick and hassle-free. If you are looking for classic, high-quality dim sum in the San Gabriel Valley with a great family-friendly vibe, NBC Restaurant is definitely worth the visit. We will definitely be back!

BUT if you can push through the chaos, or come during the weekday, the food is genuinely so good. They do dim sum and banquet style dinners so it's a solid spot for big family celebrations too. The usual suspects for me: har gow, siu mai, rice rolls, sticky rice, pork spare ribs, and stewed tripe They have a dim sum express next door where you can just walk up and grab items to go. Sometimes I call ahead so there's no wait, and a lot less chaos. I love picking it up and enjoying it at the park!

If you know, you know. Forget standing in a line long enough to finish 8 Mile waiting for the "real" dim sum experience-this spot is too busy quietly running circles around the competition. Little Kanupe and I started the morning absolutely hangry (one of my baby soldiers) after striking out at another place (we'll leave them unnamed to protect the innocent). One quick Yelp audible later and we landed at HK Dim Sum. Best comeback since B-Rabbit dropped the mic. The first thing you'll notice is the size of the hand cared for master pieces. Run here for a quick FIFA break, but dont think you're ordering "a little something." Every bite delivers. The chow mein was memorable, so memorable with that wok hay kiss on every noodle just right. Smoky, savory, and ridiculously addictive. Every dish hit with that same "one more bite" energy, and somehow everything showed up almost before we finished ordering. No carts, no gimmicks, no unnecessary fanfare, just legit dim sum crazy great flavor. HK Dim Sum earned a rock-solid five stars. Din Tai Fung is King in most circles, but this place is the Daenerys Dragon Queen dominator. I'm so happy to be part of this sharing of secrets. BTW get the Shumai, chowmein and har gow as starters. Explore the menu. I'm comin back soon and i'm near TJ lol.

We ended up getting a set for $168 this time, which came with 6 dishes. It's also $35 per lb for lobster, and I asked for the smallest one. Apparently, the smallest one was 4.8 lbs, which was another $168, so I'm not sure if they upsold me. Anyways, the food was fantastic and everyone enjoyed it. This is what I thought about the food we got. House Seafood Soup - Simple and clean soup. Good portion, and it was soothing to eat. Lots of squid. (4/5) Clams with Spicy Sauce - Large clams with tons of meat, and the sauce was fire. Always a good choice. (5/5) Crab with Salt & Pepper - Loved the seasoning, and the flavors were solid. (4.5/5) Thai Style Beef Stew - First time trying this, and it was good. A bit different, but the meat chunks were tasty and the overall flavors were good. (4/5) Sautéed Pea Sprouts - Nicely done vegetable dish. It's simple but refreshing with good flavors. (4/5) Fried Whole Fish - This dish was gone so fast because it was delicious. Nicely fried and not overly seasoned. (5/5) Signature Lobster - I feel like you have to get this here since it's their specialty. It's pricey, but in my opinion, it's the best and freshest lobster in town. Tons of green onions, seasoned well, fresh meat, and lots of lobster roe. (5/5) Service was good, and they didn't automatically add a mandatory tip for a large party. The total came out to around $364, which is pricey, but the food was phenomenal. Parking - Valet only, but they have street parking in front. I parked on the street since there were plenty of spots on a Wednesday, but I assume it gets busy on weekends.

No frills sit-down restaurant, but no cart ladies either. That's not a drawback though. You're greeted with curt nod and efficiency, sat as soon as there is a table, and given your order sheet. During the day they serve dim sum, and at night they switch over to Cantonese seafood dishes. I've eaten here many times for dim sum. They offer both traditional sit down service and a takeout counter in the front if you're in a hurry. The dim sum is solid and definitely hits the spot. Since I live nearby, it's one of those convenient spots I find myself coming back to. This visit was for dinner. We ordered a fish dish that was pretty interesting (honestly not sure what the exact name was), an oyster omelet, and clams with basil. Everything was tasty and definitely made me go through a couple bowls of rice. One thing I always appreciate is that they still give complimentary dessert at the end of the meal. We got green bean soup and some ma lai gao, which was a nice way to finish dinner. Overall, Ocean Bo is one of those neighborhood gems that has stood the test of time. It may not be the trendiest restaurant around, but it's reliable, serves good Cantonese food, and keeps the locals coming back.

Services: Served by an older gentleman. Missed a dish when ordered. He tried again but another lady came out told us, bypassed him, that the dish is not available. A bit more coordination would be needed. Ambience: As noisy as what it normally would be for a dim sum restaurant on a Saturday morning, friendly and people are just enjoying each other's company. After they left, we were the only party there. It wasn't as busy as it used to be to be. After looking at their menu online, we saw that the lunch price ended at 3:30pm, so we got there before that time. When we were there, we were handed a new menu where lunch is from 11:00-3:00pm and dinner from 4:00-11:00pm. We were asked to pay the dinner price, The waiter just said his manager told him to tell everyone that, but the menu doesn't state the price between 3:00-4:00pm. The online menu also needs to be updated. As for the food, the hot food selection has gone downhill. Not as much variety as before. Mostly fried foods, not as much greens as before. The dessert selection was only oranges and a jello dessert. The meat was sliced super thin, so it wasn't chewy. I would say the service was just ok. One waiter was catering to us, but he was also busy doing other things in the kitchen. Would I come back here again, probably not. I just feel like everything should be transparent, so the trust is there.
