I haven't been to NBC for a long time. This time I was there for a group lunch. We reserved a room, and the dim sum was delicious. Although the price was higher compared to other SGV dim sum places, however, the food quality was totally worth it. Since we were in a room, there was a dedicated server to serve us. The dim sum carts were constantly making their trip to our room.

This is authentic Cantonese dim sum with the traditional push carts coming around, which honestly makes it super easy for me because I can just see what I like and pick up the food on the spot. I ordered quite a bit to try ,  duck, siu mai, har gow, and a bunch of different dishes. Food was good overall, just not really "wow" for everything. Some dishes were really delicious, while some were just okay.  Price was fair and service was great during our visit. The restaurant does get a bit noisy, but that's pretty typical for dim sum places like this. Parking was a little tricky, but we still managed to find a spot.

02/28/26 Saturday Arrived at 11 AM right when they opened. Party of 10 with two babies. They were able to provide high chairs. We ordered A LOT so I'll just touch upon some dishes: -Our favorite item was the egg tart but maybe because it came straight out of the oven so it was piping hot. The crust was super flaky, and custard was velvety smooth and not too sweet. We were so tempted to get seconds but we were too full. -The bean curd wrapped with shrimp and pork was on point as well. -The chicken feet didn't really meet expectations. Normally I like it, but I wasn't impressed by this one. -the ham sui gok was good but I feel like it could've used more filling -fried rice had big juicy shrimp but rice was on the saltier side -Inconsistent crystal wrapper textures across all the different crystal skin dumplings. Some mushy, which I don't like. Some chewy, which I do like. The fillings were delicious though. Cart workers are a little pushy when it came to dishes they wanted to get rid of. TIP: Best to get stuff when it's hot and hasn't been sitting in the cart. Can accommodate large groups as it is Chinese banquet style seating with large round rotating tables. Parking is plentiful but it fills up quick surprisingly.

Service is great here Plenty of private rooms for various sizes of parties available Great for banquets and large parties Dishes are meant to be shared

Old school dim sum with carts and classic choices is a disappearing experience, even in Monterey Park, but NBC still has the carts, servers who speak Cantonese, and huge dining room with easy parking. It was great to go with friends who speak Cantonese because mine is so rusty, I can only understand but not speak these days. I was so hungry I didn't even let my phone eat 1st like the yelped I am, but only remembered to take a photo after we had eaten at least half our plates! Having grown up with NYC and SF dim sum, NBC is one of the few Los Angeles area places that has the selection and flavors of my childhood. Some favorites were the har gow, taro puffs, and tripe. We got the roast duck but it wasn't very meaty or flavorful. We got the congee which was ok, but lacked any definite personality. The chewy fried dumplings were more dough than filling. The siu mai and veggie dumplings were both solid. I didn't try the bitter melon or turnip cakes because I don't like the taste of either, but I was happy to see them available. We got a claypot rice dish with spare ribs and Chinese sausage which was good but the rice was not crispy on the bottom. I saw they had chicken feet, which I usually love but they didn't look appetizing enough to order. Would definitely go back for other dishes and with more people so we could sample more selections.

This dim sum restaurant open at 8am in the morning. It's a push cart dim sum so you can see what they've before you take the orders. We got there around 9am. Plenty of parking spaces in the parking lots. When we walked in It was kind of empty only 2 tables with customers. The desserts carts with buns and fried items were cold. Eggs rolled was crunchy but cold. Chicken feet were soso not that tasty. Spare ribs were okay. Mango pudding wasn't that sweet. It was just right. If you like push carts dim sum this is the place to go,

NBC is a well-known dim sum spot in the 626 and for a good reason. That they still have dim sum carts and are old-school in 2026 when many have substituted for paper menus make for some nostalgic memories. Reservations are definitely welcome, and service is as expected: fast and efficient but passive. The prices are fairly more expensive than you may expect, so make sure to come with a large party to enjoy all the variety! At the time of visit, our party sat in the back corner room, and the staff members were highly disruptive the entire dining experience rearranging the room for other parties. Seating was TIGHT, and I was hit multiple times before being asked to move. In the process, I lost an item close to me there, and the staff members were unable to find it. All in all, while NBC holds a special place in the dim sum list, I likely won't be back because of this poor experience.

Our family has had many Lunar New Year gatherings here over the years; it's the only time I've dined here. It's a classic, huge Chinese dining emporium with a huge main dining room about 2 accessory dining rooms and a warren of smaller rooms for smaller individual parties. They offer dim sum here daily, using the traditional rolling carts, and it's very popular. This year, we had to have our dinner on a Sunday because Saturday was sold out. And even on this Sunday, the main dining room was hosting a single huge banquet. Note there are restrooms off the main dining room and separate restrooms back towards the individual rooms. Parking here is free and fairly easy. The building and decor have seen better days, but the food remains consistently good. We always order the Peking Duck and their version is pretty good, served with bao buns, crispy skin plus the duck meat and hoisin sauce. We didn't get scallions this time. Other dishes we usually get are: white chicken, French beef, sweet and sour pork, green beans, fish with bok choy, orange chicken, kung pao shrimp, pork belly with jellyfish and seaweed, braised mushrooms with greens, squab with lettuce cups. Dessert is usually red bean soup, but I pass on it. Service is typical Cantonese-speaking, sometimes gruff and grumpy, sometimes friendly, usually attentive. Reliable and consistent. For more glamour, go to Bistro Na's.

Had a nice meal at NBC Seafood Restaurant. The Roasted BBQ Duck was roasted with crispy skin, tender meat, and just the right amount of seasoning. The Sautéed Rock Cod Fillet with Seasonal Greens was equally well cooked with green peppers. Excellent Cantonese cooking.

The workers here are nice and friendly. The wait can be long so make she you come here early to put your name down. The prices here are not that bad. Went here for Dim Sum and the food here was so delicious. This place beats all the Bay Area Dim Sum restaurant I've been to. Not that greasy and the food was flavorful. Their tea was so good, that the waiter keeps coming back to refill it.

    Vera W.

Another popular dim sum spot in Monterey Park, NBC Seafood Restaurant definitely delivers that classic Cantonese banquet hall vibe. The staff here are incredibly attentive--they're constantly refilling your teapot and water cups and clearing plates so the table never feels crowded. As soon as we were seated, we were able to immediately order all of our dim sum favorites without any wait, which was a huge plus compared to places where you're stuck waiting for carts to come around. That said, while the service and efficiency really stand out, I do think there are other dim sum spots with slightly better execution and more polished presentation. Still, if you're looking for a reliable, old-school dim sum experience with very attentive service, this place definitely hits the spot.

    Tony C.

We're always in the mood for some great dim sum, and NBC came highly recommended. We arrived around 10:30 on Sunday and did not have to wait long for a table. This was our first time here, and it did not disappoint! From Chinese broccoli to pork shumai, porridge, turnip cake, and everything else that we ordered. All were amazing and tasted fresh. We didn't order anything we didn't like; everything tasted great and hit the spot for us. Service was quick, and they were fast to serve and get you out. We were impressed with how fast our food hit the table! If you're in the SGV area, I would highly recommend giving them a try!

Love that they still wheel the carts around old skool style
    Mike C.

This is a classic old style dim sum place where they still wheel around the carts. It's so fun, noisy and crowded. Long wait to get a table, but the dim sum is tasty!! They have a large, free parking lot. Prices are on the high side ($40 person but we ate a lot), but isn't everything kind of expensive these days?

    Yes they are open everyday

Hello what time is take out dim sum next door open?

Yes of course they will be open on holidays

Everything, and I mean everything, was so delicious. One of the best dim sum places I've been to. The pricing of the items ranged from $8-$10 per item we ordered which is expensive but as a treat every once in a while and for the amount of time and effort that goes into making dim sum, it was worth it. I've tried making dim sum at home and it is so hard! Pricing breakdown: $8 items: - har gow (4 pcs) - siu mai (4 pcs) - black bean spare rib - pan fried turnip cake - egg custard $9 items: - chicken feet $10 items: - shrimp rice noodle roll I think they no longer have the tripe on their menu anymore bc I couldn't find it on their online ordering. Also their chili oil was priced at $0.98, which was kind of small, I would do without it next time. ---- The parking was really tough, luckily I had another person with me drop me off then I ordered and then we double parked waiting for it to be finished. The inside of the restaurant felt like an elevated dim sum place, things were neat and a darker ambiance which felt more intimate if you decided to eat in. Perfect family dim sum experience for us…read more We took out my parents and in-laws for dim sum: my parents' very first time ever. We did wait about an hour, but honestly I didn't mind at all because it gave us a chance to relax, talk, and catch up as a family. Once we were seated, my parents were immediately impressed with the decor: elegant and cultural without feeling overly modern or cold. And can we talk about the tea kettles? They looked like literal pieces of art being poured at the table. Ordering was super easy with the QR code system, so my husband handled the whole spread: shumai dumplings, chicken feet, sesame balls, and more. Everything came out hot, fresh, and beautifully plated. The ENTIRE table agreed on one thing: the chili oil condiment deserves to be sold in bottles to take home. It was that good. Smoky, just the right amount of spicy, and addictive. Now for the real test: my in-laws. They've been to *many* dim sum places and are not easily impressed. They declared this place to have the best chicken feet that they've ever had: meat easily sucked off the bone, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and perfectly seasoned. High praise coming from dim sum veterans. Most importantly, my parents' first dim sum experience couldn't have been better. They loved everything from the ambiance to the food to the overall experience. My husband and I want to come back to explore more of the menu because there's clearly so much more to try

The good part about the beef noodle soup was the beef chunks weren't too dry nor fatty. The noodles, however, didn't taste like the fresh hand pulled kind you'd find at other restaurants but rather the dried ones you can get at a supermarket (they tasted like the Quon Yick dry noodle). The broth isn't necessarily bland but I think it could have used more flavor. The soup dumplings had a generous filling, but there really weren't much flavors coming from the seasoning. It just tasted like pork and soup. The skin is a bit thicker than what I've seen at other places, but at least they didn't break. I wasn't a fan of the fried buns though. They were fried too crispy to a point that the skin was dry and crunchy and all the fluffiness was lost. Same with the soup dumplings, the filling could have used more flavor. The ones at Kang Kang Food Court would be the clear winner here. For the price, the portions are pretty fair. The menu is very limited, but it's very carb-focused, so it's not a great place if you're looking for alot of protein options. They don't really offer much in the vegetarian department.
