The look hasn't changed, so it feels like I'm going back in time. They are very experienced in the Chinese/Vietnamese banquet style weddings. Have options for large or small parties. Went here for dim sum on Sunday at around 12 o'clock The service was terrible. In the middle of our meal, they ended up moving us over because they had a large party and needed to accommodate the big party. The food came out lukewarm and was OK. It has been many years since I've stepped foot into this restaurant. Family wanted to come here for dimsum yesterday, so we came here. Despite the 3 star review that the restaurant had - I was still optimistic. We arrived at 11:30am on a Saturday and there were many people inside, but def no line out the door. I will point out that the restaurant was pretty clean and they had 2 giant TV screens on both sides of the restaurant. You order your dishes with the server, as opposed to the carts that are typically pushed out at your typical dimsum restaurants. But the food is definitely where they can improve. We ordered Daikon Cake, Shrimp with the clear noodles, Beef Tripe Mix Plate, Chicken Feet, BBQ Pork (not on dimsum menu), Lobster Noodles (not on dimsum menu), Braised Pork Belly, Chicken Sticky Rice, Chinese Broccoli, Spicy Wonton, Shumai - amongst other things. And, I'm sad to report that everything was just ..... ok. Chicken feet had a weird taste to it - either not fresh or not enough aromatics were added during the cooking process. Beef Tripe Mix plate tasted kind of the same - not enough aromatics. Spicy wontons - it's the first time I've seen spicy wontons made with a yellow wonton wrapper, and flavor was kind of off. It wasn't made in your typical yummy spicy sauce. Rather, these were boiled wontons with chili oil on top. Our BBQ Pork came out very slow - we did have to ask for it a few times, and this was the last dish that came out. Came here for lunar new year for yum cha and dim sum. Was not aware they do NOT do dimsum carts here. You order on the sheet and they bring it out for you FYI. Super busy and they seated us near the entry way so that was a downside already. We got here at 11:56am tell me why we ordered small dishes of 8 and still was 2 dishes missing by 1pm -.- Dimsum was good but def not cool of you are in a rush. I love the good ol style of the carts. We went tonight to celebrate my mom's birthday. We booked a private room and there was a $600 minimum charge for the private room. The room was nice and service was excellent. We had two wait staff serving us We ordered fish soup with crab meat, peiking duck, steamed chicken, tofu with veggies, steamed red snapper, lobster with noodles, filet mignon, clams with basil and soft taro with lotus seeds for dessert. The service was slow and left a lot to be desired. As soon as we sat down, we filled out our order and handed it to one of the workers walking around since no one checked in on us to grab our order paper. Our plates, cups, and chopsticks were all stacked prior to us sitting down, and we realized we needed one more set of a plate, chopsticks, a tea cup, and the condiments (soy sauce, vinegar, sauté). My mom got up to flag one of the staff down for the extra plate and utensil because they barely walked past our table after we ordered. We ordered 8 different dim sum plates and it took 1.5 hours to get through lunch. Each plate went out separately, at least 5-10 minutes apart. As soon as we finished the plate, the lady who cleans up the tables would come over to clear the empty plate almost immediately and my family would sit around waiting for the next one. This is my family's go to place for lobster noodles. It's always a hit. Their crab sticky rice is good too. They give you a whole crab in there with the head. I always love the head roe. My son likes the fish maw soup. It's traditional and solid. We also really like the scallop bean curd tofu dish. It comes with veggies and is delish. We usually just get take out which is fairly quick. They also sealed all their food (think boba cup seals) so it's great for travel. However, I have dined in on many occasions and service here is what you would expect from any Chinese restaurant. Some days are good, some days are eh but it is what it is and they get the job done. They've never been rude. I've been here for dim sum before too and it's got its standard dim sum dishes. They get busy so dim sum days is usually a wait. The restaurant itself is large. You can host two banquets at the same time or buy out the whole restaurant for one huge banquet. I always remember coming to banquets here for my dad's club when he was still around so it'll always hold a special place. We had the following 10 delicacy dishes that night: 1. Roasted Suckling Pig (Half)- eye-catching, big golden plate presentation with delicious roasted suckling pig and jellyfish. Thumbs up. 10/10 2. Pan-Fried Shrimp with Imperial Clam - another delicious dish with big and delicious shrimp. Even the veggies were sweet and fresh. 10/10 3. Deep-fried scallop wrapped with bacon - I'm a scallop lover. These giant deep-fried scallops tasted so flavorful. I could eat the giant scallop without the bacon wrapped. The bacon flavor and the sauce were a bit too strong, but I still liked this dish. 9/10 4. Imperial fish maw soup - my favorite soup! I had two bowls of fish maw soup that night because my daughters did not like it. 9/10 5. Braised Abalone with Dried Scallop Flavor- Each guest had one good-sized braised abalone, a total of 10 pieces, and it was delicious. The veggies and mushrooms were also tasted great. Deep-Fried Chicken with Mashed Shrimp - The presentation was nice, and they looked like deep-fried chicken, but actually, they were all mashed shrimp but covered with deep-fried chicken skin on the top. House Special Lobster - A little disappointed that the lobster did not have much meat, and it was not baked lobster with green onion and ginger cooking method. Came here for dim sum with my mom. The restaurant was mostly full, but we were able to be seated immediately. We ordered the usual dim sum fare -- siu mai, har gow, chicken feet, and shrimp rice noodle. I also wanted to try one of their osmanthus and wolfberry jello desserts. We marked our order on the form. They don't have dim sum carts here. All of the food came out one by one without too much of a wait in between. The food was hot, and was solid in terms of quality and amount for price. The only dish that took forever to come out was the jello. We ended up having the waiter remove it from our order since we couldn't wait anymore (we waited about 30 minutes for it...). We drove around the parking lot perimeter once before a spot opened up. I think it's not bad, given I've been here before and had to make many more rounds before finding a spot. read more

Ordered classic Premium Har Gow, Pork & Shrimp Siu Mai, Sparerib in Black Bean Sauce, Steamed Chicken Feet in Brown Sauce, BBQ Pork Bun. All came out the same time, fairly fast after ordering. But unfortunately, they were all under par, in both quantity and taste. Also ordered Soybean sprouts, Custard Egg Tart, Steamed Egg Yolk Cream Bun. These three tasted okay. Excellent karaoke machines and big screen. Con: I am bit disappointed with the food quality. The noodles was not the E-min( spelling?) that it was supposed to be. It tasted like spaghetti. That's what they would use at those Chinese fast food places. It should not be used here! The lobster, it was ok, it did have the wok-hay! We were hungry and decided to order roasted duck and fried rice. Roasted duck came out quick but it has weird flavors, I don't know if it's old or just originally bad. The place used to be good back in the day but it's going downhill with service and taste. I see that they have plenty of tables filled so, maybe we might just come on bad day. I've been coming here since I was a child. It used to be a five star experience but they don't do the push carts anymore sadly. The dim sum is still delicious. The textures and flavors are still there. Hot tea is comforting and chili crisp is tasty. Part of a great fun sum experience is the hustling and bustling carts and flagging down or chasing your favorite items. You won't get that here :/ Service is good and friendly. I came here for Christmas so it was super crazy and hectic. I think they take reservations, so I would definitely make it. I ended up waiting about 40 minutes on Christmas lunch, which was not too bad. Since it was Christmas, it was super hectic, so I can't say much about the service. I do think that the staff tried hard even though it was so busy. As for the food, I thought it was pretty good. I ended up getting to try a variety and my favorite was the crab fried rice and the lobster. Their seafood was pretty fresh and I really enjoy it when there is noodles under the lobster, which they had here. The noodles is one of the best part of the lobster dish. Aside from that, I tried a few other items, like duck (which was not my favorite) and few dim sum items (which was pretty good). The only minor complaint I had was that because it was so busy, the food came out at uneven times, so by the time some of the items came I had been waiting awhile and I was stuffed. Overall, even though it was crazy, I thought the food was decent. I would definitely like to come back here on a regular night and try their food again. I came into this place for a party of 20 people, and we were able to make a reservation ahead of time. I used to come here with my family all the time as a kid and the dishes here serves multiple purposes: dim sum, weekends, lunches, and dinners. Everything here is what you will see in at all classic Cantonese movies. We ordered their crab mouth soup, we also ordered the Kung pow chicken, the seafood clay pot, filet Mignon French style beef and sweet sour spareribs. The service was good and the staff looks tired of course because we went in on a Friday night around 7 PM. After ordering six dishes, five dishes plus one soup for 20 people. The cost came out to be about $545. Overall, I will come back here again if it's a large party I feel that both Myself and the guests receive really good services and the food was above average. read more

While the restaurant was full, it wasn't packed, and we were seated after about a 5-minute wait. Food: We ordered 9 mostly classic dim sum items. The format here is that you order all your dishes and they come out (unlike wandering carts). The food itself was good. However, items came out one by one, with roughly one dish every 10 minutes. Even staples like har gow took over an hour to arrive, and our last dish (BBQ buns) didn't come out until the 1.5 hour mark. For a dim sum restaurant, this pacing is extremely slow and frustrating. The drawn-out timing completely disrupted the flow of the meal and made it difficult to enjoy, even though the food itself was solid. While the dim sum at is good, the excruciatingly long wait between dishes makes this a place we wouldn't return to. Dim sum should be efficient and continuous, you know, like all the other places? My favorites were the suckling pig platter, Peking duck, shrimp crab claw, assorted seafood and fish maw soup, lobster, and the scallop + shrimp stir fry. My least favorite was the mashed taro with white nuts (too sweet and tasted more like bean paste than taro). The rest of the dishes were passable. The service was pretty good. If you come on a weekend it will definitely be packed but on a weekday it's very doable. You get to sit down and order tea $1.50 - charged per person. Then you order your dimsum / plus any other dishes from the paper menu and the food comes out. The dimsum is decent quality. I've had better and had worse as well. Most of the dimsum will start at $5.90 a plate and higher. The cheapest is $5.50. Parking in the lot shared with the other establishments in the plaza is not bad but can get really packed on weekends. Restrooms are OK and decently clean. Arrive early on weekends to get a number for a table if you have a big party. Otherwise on a weekday it's totally doable without planning ahead as plenty of tables are open. Rerouted here after my favorite dim sum place moved inside a hotel and didn't serve dim sum on a Saturday (weird!). Despite my bias, I enjoyed the food and service here. What stood out to me the most is the ordering process which is just you marking down on a menu what you want to order. No need to wait for a cart to come around! You also get every dish hot and fresh. The wait for the dim sum wasn't too long as they brought out dishes as soon as they're ready. We ordered 9 B items and the total came out to under $70. Not bad! I have to admit, their shu mai is okay. I had better elsewhere but aside from that, everything else was delicious. The baked pineapple bun with egg yolk cream is an absolute must-order. We had a grand old time here! My friend celebrated their first childs 100 year old so we had the entire banquet rented out. Food was great, had duck twice with the skin of course, lobster , all the sides it was delicious. They let you bring your own booze as well so we were well stocked. She kept pushing us to order and sarcastically said we were there just to sit. We were pretty shocked by her attitude because we have never been treated that way. We raised our frustration about the female manager's attitude; however, no one ever came to explain the reason. It was rather difficult to flag servers down if you don't speak Cantonese so I suggest being a little louder than usual or wave your hand a lot.
