Had a really really great experience last week. So I needed a reservation for a large party (25ish), and looking at the Yelp reviews, I had some concerns about my reservation falling through if I made one. Anyway I call about 2 weeks ahead of time to make a reservation and was able to get one for Sunday 12:45pm. A week prior, I called again just to confirm and they still had my reservation. They informed me to show up early to check in. Once the day came, I checked in early and they had everything ready for me. They opened one table first while they were clearing the other 2 and allowed my party to sit down first. We were able to order and pay via 3 separate tables smoothly. Food was great like always. You order on a sheet and people come by to drop off the food. Everything was so good! The only thing I will say though is, they don't really speak mandarin or English. English is better than mandarin, but their main language is Cantonese. So be prepared for language barriers and some employees speak certain languages better than others. But we had such a great experience as a large party and will definitely be back!

Can't believe I grew up in LA and never visited here... moved to the Bay Area and love the dim sum there but Sea Harbour is even better than that! It is especially crowded, busy, and noisy on the weekends but thankfully our group of 9 somehow managed to get the private room in the back! So much more peaceful with quality service providing refills and bringing the dim sum. Everything they made had a great blend of flavors and the buns in particular had a wonderful fluffiness with delicious fillings. Parking can be hard though so street parking a block or so over works.

As of May 31, 2026. They put a "we are closed" note at the walk way probably so you don't walk up to to see this

We've always seen a crowd waiting for seats when we drive by. We finally decided to go with a couple group of family members this past Sunday 5/31/2026, I arrived at 10:30am to get a seat/number and there was so much parking!...come to find a yellow caution tape with a handwritten "WE ARE CLOSED" note blocking the WALKWAY to the entrance. I ducked past the tape and saw a "vermin infestation" note from the health department. No idea how long the closure will be but I'm still gonna visit once they re-open. We ended up going to Longo Seafood which was okay but could've been better in terms of flavor.

For Lunar New Year, my family and I came here to celebrate and ordered a variety of dishes to share. The restaurant was very crowded, and we waited about an hour to be seated, which is understandable for a holiday. Overall, the food tasted really good. The restaurant is spacious, which is especially nice for a dim sum spot. The service was also good; the staff were attentive and friendly throughout our visit. It was actually our first time coming here, and I was pleasantly surprised. I think their dim sum is quite good compared to other places. One thing I really liked was how thin the noodle skin was, especially on the shrimp rolls and other dishes that use rice noodle wraps; it made everything taste more delicate and fresh. We enjoyed our experience and would definitely consider coming back.

This establishment is very quick with service, attentive, and the food was so delicious. The wait is worth it. I would definitely come back and eat here again. Good portions, price are good. My Fav dishes were the Black bean spare ribs, wet noodle (seafood), chicken feet. Everything was delicious. Next time I want to come for the shrimp dumping.

I'm going to say it - best dim sum for the price in California. And before you say SF has good dim sum, not at sea harbour's level or price. My credentials? Hong Kong born and grew up eating LOTS of Cantonese food and dim sum. Sea harbour does put a nice twist on the iconic dishes - truffle siu mai, french style baked char siu bao. When you're here, you're here for the food, not the service, but that doesn't matter when I'm fighting over the last har gow with my cousin. Was here for a family dinner recently, and their seafood is fresh and prepared to perfection. Come for the dim sum, stay for the geoduck

Sea Harbour consistently proves why it's a true institution for high quality, authentic Cantonese style cuisine. Their weekend dim sum was so good I ordered a lot of dim sum for 2 of us , and everything was delicious. I was honestly surprised when I got the bill , it was much cheaper than I expected! If I had eaten the same amount at my favorite dim sum spot in Irvine, it would have cost more. The atmosphere is lively and bustling, perfect for family gatherings, though it can get quite noisy when crowded. Service is efficient and attentive, with tea refilled constantly and dishes arriving quickly and piping hot. Parking can be a challenge, so be prepared to hunt for a spot, especially on busy weekends.

This dim sum spot is always poppin' with long lines. There's always a crowd whenever I drive by, but we decided to finally make our way over. There a decent sized parking lot in the back and I didn't have any trouble finding a spot on a Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately, the seating took much longer. They do have a digital screen showing your check-in time organized by table sizes, which is nice. For a table of 5, we waited almost an hour. You get a sheet to mark down your orders from dim sum to entrees. The menu has pictures, which is super helpful if you're not as familiar. We ordered 9 dim sum dishes and one Sparerib & Chinese Sausage Rice Casserole ($16.80). This is delicious with the crispy rice edges and flavor great on the tender meat. All the dim sum dishes ranged from $5-10 each and everything was good. I have to say that the dishes here are slightly more unique than your usual dim sum though, which feels more elevated. Some favorites are the Salted Egg Yolk Buns, Steamed Rice Noodle with Chinese Donut & Shrimp, Deep Fried Pork Dumplings, and Egg White Custard Tarts.

Sea Harbor Restaurant serves some of the best dim sum in the SGV. The restaurant is very busy on the weekends; we waited over an hour from 11:10am to around 12:20pm for a table for four on a busy Sunday. The wait list is divided into sections of 3 and under, 4 to 6, 7 to 8 and 9 plus. Longest wait is for the two smaller groupings and can be an hour or more in the middle of a busy weekend. Suggest coming in a large group as you'll be seated quickly. A table of 7 was seated in five minutes. Sea Harbor is a typical dim sum house as the place is loud, workers are busy but very competent - always checking on your teapot, checking on you if you look like you want to order more, and quick to bring missing items if you say you're still waiting or want to cancel an item. LOL, I looked at our checked off order sheet twice during our meal and a lady came running over each time to ask if we wanted to order more. Ha ha, we ordered 15 items for the four of us with three small boxes to take home. Can be pricey as we spent $150 with tax and tip for the four of us. Favorite items were the Runny Salted Egg Lava Buns, Truffle Siu Mai, Scallop & Shrimp Dumpling, the Abalone Sauce Tofu (should be hotter), the French Style BBQ Bun (had bigger and warmer elsewhere), and the Chicken Feet. All of the other items were passable with least favorite being the Steamed Black Bean Pork Riblets (Bland), Har Guow / Shrimp Dumpling (small and bland), and Hom Sei Gok / Fried Meat Dumpling (not hot, a bit flattened, and not crunchy exterior) and Egg White Tart (egg white is probably better for you but bland as heck). Overall: crowded, loud, you will wait, decent dim sum, not the cleanest since they have such high volume, and surprisingly very attentive service even when busy. The restaurant has a large parking lot and adjacent street parking on busy Rosemead or nearby side streets. Expect to wait for a table on the weekends if you're in a small group.

We hadn't been here in years, but our group of 11 decided to have lunch on a recent Sunday. As usual, the line was out the door. My friend had called the day before to make a reservation, but when we arrived, there was no record of it. After some confusion, the staff managed to seat us, most of the group at a large table, and three of us at a smaller one by the fish tank. We ordered a variety of dishes from the menu, but honestly, everything tasted rather bland, which was surprising given how busy this place still gets. The food also came out very slowly, so slow that one of our dishes didn't arrive until after we had already received the bill! The waitress seemed surprised to see it and almost took it back. Because of the way the receipt was itemized, we couldn't even tell if we were charged for it, but the whole interaction felt awkward, as if she thought we were trying to get something for free. In the end, the total came to about $120 for three people after tax and tip, which feels steep for dim sum, especially considering the service and food quality.

A solid 3.5/5. I would highly recommend calling ahead to place a takeout order or to make a reservation for dining in. Some of the workers are more willing to help and provide decent service, while others, like the cashier, were not friendly. I ordered takeout, and they didn't even let me know that my order was ready until I went up to ask again about 25-30 minutes later. My favorite items were the steamed chicken feet, the steamed rice noodle with Chinese donut and shrimp, and the bean curd skin roll with seafood in abalone sauce. In addition, the steamed lava salted egg yolk bun was pretty good, and the buns were nice and soft. On the other hand, the pork and shrimp dumpling with truffle sauce, as well as the shrimp dumpling (har gow), were decent, but the portions were much smaller than expected, especially the har gow. It was quite tiny, and considering the price, it wasn't worth it for me. They have their own parking lot, but it fills up pretty quickly, so plan ahead.

I'm afraid to give it a 5 star because it will ruin the perfect 3.5 star (IYKYK). Be sure to make a reservation and/or get there early. There is a line that forms before opening. We had a group of 20+, wifey made reservations, and seated right away. We ordered everything on the menu but the black truffle shumai was a highlight, as well as the healthy chicken feet. All dishes were great but if I were to pass on one, it would be the labaco. No option for pan fried and too thick. I'm only giving it a four because I don't want to change the 3.5 star (Asian perfect) rating.

Came here when they opened on a Saturday morning, and was directed to stand in line with everyone else who didn't have reservations even when we had reservations. The process/system was a little confusing. Either way come early, the line wraps around the building during open, but it felt like it went by quick. The dim sum was great. The truffle siu mai, gold flake salty egg buns, and shrimp dumplings all tasted as delicious as they looked or were hyped up to be. Busy atmosphere, just as you'd expect any dim sum place to be. They don't push carts here. Waited awhile after getting our table to get started. Had to wave down staff to get their attention to get water, tea, and place our order. Had to ask for some things multiple times before getting it.

Until what time is the dimsum?

I believe Dim Sum service ends at 4...we arrived just after 5 and it had already ended.

What time does dim sum end?

    6:30pm

Do they serve dim sum with the carts? I don't see any pictures with carts. Thank you.

The dim sum is made fresh from your orders, there're no cards

Do they still have outside seating?

    No outside seat. Just inside.

Is dimsum all day or specific time only?

For now dim sum is all day since the restaurant closes at 6:30pm.

How long is the wait usually on a Saturday or Sunday during brunch time?

Sorry, just went one time and no wait at all but I think it was because of COVID. Hardly any customers inside.

Are they open on Christmas day?

No we are not open Christmas Eve and Christmas day

Do they have dim sum all day everyday or just mornings everyday?

    Do they take reservations?

    yes

    Do they have outdoor seating?

    yes

Can you make a reservation for dim sum for a party of 10 to 12 on a Sunday?

01/08/26 just confirmed this place do accept reservation for minimum of 10 people party

    Can I pay with discovery?

Better call before heading, they might take discover, but for sure will charge you a bit more

    Can we order to-go?

Yes. You can order to go, but don't expect the same quality as the food sits in the To-Go. Since they are made to order and would be at its best when you eat them freshly made. There are items that would not be good to go. (Need to be aware of…

What time/day of the week do they serve dimsum?:)

    M-F10:30~2:30,Sat&Sun10:00~2:30.

Will it be open on Christmas Day (December 25)?

Yep. 10-2 and then 3-9 (I think). Sign posted on door

If you know, you know. Forget standing in a line long enough to finish 8 Mile waiting for the "real" dim sum experience-this spot is too busy quietly running circles around the competition. Little Kanupe and I started the morning absolutely hangry (one of my baby soldiers) after striking out at another place (we'll leave them unnamed to protect the innocent). One quick Yelp audible later and we landed at HK Dim Sum. Best comeback since B-Rabbit dropped the mic. The first thing you'll notice is the size of the hand cared for master pieces. Run here for a quick FIFA break, but dont think you're ordering "a little something." Every bite delivers. The chow mein was memorable, so memorable with that wok hay kiss on every noodle just right. Smoky, savory, and ridiculously addictive. Every dish hit with that same "one more bite" energy, and somehow everything showed up almost before we finished ordering. No carts, no gimmicks, no unnecessary fanfare, just legit dim sum crazy great flavor. HK Dim Sum earned a rock-solid five stars. Din Tai Fung is King in most circles, but this place is the Daenerys Dragon Queen dominator. I'm so happy to be part of this sharing of secrets. BTW get the Shumai, chowmein and har gow as starters. Explore the menu. I'm comin back soon and i'm near TJ lol.

It's pretty good here and they have complimentary refills! They're known for their rice noodle rolls here and you can order them, along with their small dim sum menu, all day long. The wonton noodles here were just $13.98! They come with 5 large wontons and vegetables over wonton noodles. I always recommend adding chili oil. The steamed spareribs on steamed rice have some bones, just like the ones you find at dim sum. But there's a lot of meat in the steamed rice bowl for a single person. Free parking in rear parking lot. Entrance at the front on Garvey Ave. They have 2 entrances in front now. Left door for to-go orders and right door for dine-in.

Interior is hardly decorated but has statement black and red tables and chairs haha. No one was dining in, but it seemed like Steam Fresh was popular for takeout. For us, a black sesame roll (could be a snack or dessert), four orders of steamed pork siu mai, two orders of juicy pork dumplings (soup dumplings), and a beef chow fun with soy sauce dish totaled to a little over $55. Everything came out piping hot and packaged well for takeout. We only waited about 15min, which was not bad at all. We really liked the siu mai and beef chow fun. Both were savory and addicting. Siu mai was especially juicy and meaty; it definitely satisfied our dim sum cravings. Soup dumplings were ok - I found the wrapper to be doughy and the filling kinda plain. The black sesame roll had an interesting rolled look and a sticky, chewy, jelly-like texture. It tasted like lightly sweetened black sesame paste mixed into what seemed like a combination of mochi and agar. The small parking lot in the back is free. We got lucky finding a spot in the late morning, but when we were ready to back out after getting our food, cars were either circling the lot or waiting for someone to leave.
