Killer Tomato Pizza Food Truck came to our office building today. I was super excited to see that there was a personalize pizza Food Truck. I have no idea how three people worked in that truck, efficiently from throwing and stretching the dough, to taking orders, putting the personalized toppings on the dough to fire cooking and packaging the pizza! This was mind-blowing to me, bravo for that! Personally, I just wasn't a big fan of the pizza. The pizza was very greasy. I took the pizza about 50 ft away to a table outside to enjoy it while talking on the phone to my bf. After the first piece the center part of the pizza was soggy from all the greasy and didn't hold up and the crust just tasted mushy... The truck was a BIG hit at our campus, at least 5 people in my small department of 10 went and got their own pizza as well. I just think it's a-ok pizza, but you should be your own judge!

First and foremost, reading some reviews it is clear that some people do not understand that there are different types of pizza. Some take more skill than others and the effort pays off in a more pleasing, flavor-filled product. Killer Tomato Pizza serves Neopolitan-Style Pizza that are baked in an authentic, wood-fired brick pizza oven. I will defer to this excellent reference of pizza styles to better describe this particular style: http://amazingribs.com/recipes/pizza_and_flatbreads_on_the_grill/different_pizza_styles.html Anyway, with that out of the way, on to the pizza pie! Killer Tomato has quality ingredients served by friendly staff, and is well worth the wait time for a pizza that is made to order. Their pizzas have the satisfying chewiness of the crust enhanced with bits of flavorful char...served hot and fresh laden with fresh and ample toppings. In short, a well-balanced, flavor-filled personal pizza for those with a healthy appetite! Get some!

That's some good pie (ordered the Big Daddy). The sauce is super flavorful, the crust edges are deliciously charred. The toppings are damn good - especially the olives. I mean, I thought I hated olives, but I obviously have never had olives like this and they were perfection on this pie. The problems? The crust is way too thin/not sturdy enough to handle the very saucy sauce, and the toppings. Though the edges of the crust is gorgeous and charred and well cooked, the crust under the sauce and toppings is weak and not cooked long enough to develop a crispness that can hold all the sauce/toppings/cheese. Also, the sauce - though fucking delicious and I would like a bowl of that to drink like soup - is a bit too watery. Having said all that, I would eat the hell out of this again.

Food trucks never seem to get enough love on yelp! I stumbled across this truck while strolling the trucks around Farragut one day at lunchtime. First thing i noticed was how fast they get your order made, which was definitely a bonus for me. I got the "Shut Your Pie-hole" which is essentially pepperoni and sausage (and some other goodies) - It was delicious! I have gone back a few times now and either gotten that one again or a regular cheese (also delicious). What I like about this place is they give you plenty of cheese/ingredients. Sometimes I find these artisanal pizza shop type places skimp on cheese/toppings and your left with 3 inches of crust and a puddle of cheese in the middle....not the case here! Please keep coming to Farragut so I can try more pizzas :)

"Shut your pie hole" pizza featuring sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, red sauce and mozz on a hand-thrown crust! Delish!

Yes, it's true: real hand-tossed pizza cooked in a flamin' oven now available outside your office building from this tasty food truck. Rejoice!

I tried Killer Tomato last week for the first time - I order the white pizza ($11) and added sausage (+$2) - and I was extremely impressed. The crust was surprisingly crispy and perfectly charred for coming out of a food truck wood fired brick oven. The EVOO drizzled on top really brought together all of the flavors, only thing I might change is add arugula next time! By no means is it 2 Amy's, but it's pretty great considering it came from a food truck-- I'll definitely return.

"Big Daddy" Roth Pizza - pepperoni, mushrooms, red onion, kalamata olives, san marzano tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese. Absolutely divine!

Fries actually held up for the first few minutes but the gravy slowly seeped in causing the fries to become mushy but flavor was still there. The cheese curds were a great compliment however they weren't melted enough. The red wine braised short rib was very tender and flavorful. Just not enough of it. Overall flavor of Urban Poutine was pretty good for a food truck. I just wish the quantity match the price especially for $11.

For their location on any given day, I'd suggest visiting either their Twitter page or the Food Truck Fiesta app. Poutine is awesome - I had no idea what it was until I had some, but it's apparently comprised of French fries and cheese curds topped with a brown gravy and it originates from the Canadian province of Quebec. "Cheese curd" sounds gross, but it was actually fantastic! It was pretty greasy, but perfectly tasty and filling. I loved this poutine experience and think Urban Poutine does a great job. I'd definitely visit this food truck again in the future!

It's a small place and I think it's because it's for pick-up only. We decided not to do pick up and sit inside instead. They have a couple of tables inside and outside. The service was relatively quick and fast! We didn't have to wait too long and we only had an hour; and within that hour our pizza was ordered, ready, and our plates were empty. We ordered - Neapolitan Margherita 5/5 - I'm not sure if it was because we had trash pizza the night before so our expectations were low or because it really is THAT good. I wasn't that hungry, but I ended up eating half the pie! The cheese tasted super fresh and complimented the balsamic drizzle. I'll definitely be returning here or at least getting it for take-out!

Parking is easy, with ample spaces both directly in front of the restaurant and across the street. Inside, the seating area is on the smaller side but sufficient for small parties. The ordering process is straightforward: you order and pay at the register, take a seat, and they bring the food to your table. We ordered a salad and two pizzas, one regular and one vegan. The regular pizza came out quickly and tasted quite good. However, the vegan pizza was flavorless. A major contributing factor is likely that they do not offer vegan cheese, so it essentially amounted to a cauliflower crust with tomato sauce and vegetables. On a side note, the cellular signal inside the restaurant was non-existent for some reason. All in all, it wasn't a terrible experience, but we likely won't be returning anytime soon.
