This time they really dropped the ball the order took way too long, they told me on the phone it would be ready in 40 minutes, I called before I left and they told me it would be another 15 minutes, so I left 10 minutes later to pick it up. When I got there I had to wait another 30 minutes, they said they were busy but there was nobody there. When I got home I was very disappointed in the food, everything had way too much salt, and the tandoori chicken was literally burnt, I had to throw it out. So, from 5 stars to 1 star in two months, very disappointing.

There were about 5 other couples in addition to my bf and I at 6pm on a Saturday night and by the time we left, most of the seats were filled with patrons. The staff was pretty good, although we were only checked on once after we got our food. We were not that hungry but we were in the mood to try this new Indian restaurant. The menu is huge as this place offers regional foods from all over India, instead of just north or south. The menu could have used a copy editor though. Some items, especially those that have fish, were crossed out. Made it a bit hard to read. We shared a thick mango lassi ($4) that had little flecks of Indian spices like cardamom and saffron mixed in. For dinner, we split an order of tandoori chicken ($18) and an order of haka noodles with vegetables mixed in ($11). The noodles were very salty from the soy sauce and the portion of noodles was enough for 4 people, way too much, even for us large eaters. The chicken was just the right portion for 2 people to share. I love how lemony it was from the lemon juice as well! I'll definitely 10000% order the tandoori chicken again. By the end, we ate too much and we were extremely full by the end. But honestly eating too much is just the story of my life! Since I'll be moving to SB in a few months, I am sure we will be back here many more times in the future.

Now that I've eaten at many Indian restaurants across the state and country, I know that some of my concerns are not related to Indian dining, but this place in particular. First, as others have said, it's not normal to charge for rice and maintain prices of $17+ per entree. Second, and more importantly, dine-in service times are ridiculous. Twice in a row now I've waited 45 min+ between ordering entrees and receiving them, and this time, I was basically told it was my fault because my expectations were off and I didn't tell them I was in a hurry. I wasn't in a hurry, but to me, waiting more than 25 minutes or so without any visit from a server (including to refill drinks) is just not great service. This was compounded by the fact that no one around us had received food, but to-go orders were coming out of the kitchen to the front of the restaurant every couple of minutes with urgency. When I quietly asked the manager what was going on, she told me that's just how they do things, then came back to my table again to tell me that my expectations weren't reasonable and I could ask next time for them to bring the food out faster.
