I have always had a great experience here! The staff are swift to clear plates though they aren't hovering at all. The food is so good (though I do find the chicken to be dry for my tastes) but the lunch buffet has plenty of other delicious options! I wish I had their recipe for the fruit & veg veg salad because it is absolutely delightful. I used to love coming to the buffet when I was in college -but it's changed a bit with regard to offerings and price. We paid $38 for two buffets drinking water -which is a little steep when you're a one-plate-and-then-full person. Offerings were two rices (basmati and saffron, salad, raita, naan, and 4 entrees (tandoori chicken, chickpea curry, vegetable curry, meatball curry). The chicken was a bit dry and the curries were too spicy for me. The meatball curry, I think, would've been my favorite, but again, too spicy. They used to have 2 additional meat entrees that were delish and not too spicy (beef keema and I think a tika masala), but those were no longer available. The dessert rice milk was my favorite part of the experience. Absolutely perfect! I think this would be a great place for vegetarians who love spicy food -just not for me anymore :) Heads up, the lunch buffet is no longer everyday so make sure to check if you're making a treck :) read more

I really used to love this place, and this is a 2-star and not a 1 because their food really is good. I used to be really insecure about eating at ethnic restaurants, especially Indian, because I didn't grow up eating the cuisine. Now that I've eaten at many Indian restaurants across the state and country, I know that some of my concerns are not related to Indian dining, but this place in particular. First, as others have said, it's not normal to charge for rice and maintain prices of $17+ per entree. Second, and more importantly, dine-in service times are ridiculous. Twice in a row now I've waited 45 min+ between ordering entrees and receiving them, and this time, I was basically told it was my fault because my expectations were off and I didn't tell them I was in a hurry. I wasn't in a hurry, but to me, waiting more than 25 minutes or so without any visit from a server (including to refill drinks) is just not great service. This was compounded by the fact that no one around us had received food, but to-go orders were coming out of the kitchen to the front of the restaurant every couple of minutes with urgency. When I quietly asked the manager what was going on, she told me that's just how they do things, then came back to my table again to tell me that my expectations weren't reasonable and I could ask next time for them to bring the food out faster. (To the detriment of other customers? Why not be efficient in the first place?) I will say I haven't tried the lunch buffet. One thing about this restaurant is that has great service. The servers are very attentive and are always so on top of everything. The restaurant has decent seating, with 2 rooms from my memory and it has cute decor and booths and normal seating options. The food is very good but the portion sizes are very small for the price of them. The last time I went, it was for my mother's birthday dinner. We got lamb curry, the signature saffron rice (which I might add is my favorite and is always delicious) and some other things. The food is very good but it is definitely not the cheapest. Get everything! There's not one single item you can go wrong with. I'm serious. For 3 people, we got 3 entrees, an order of the rice along with two orders of naan. That was just the perfect amount of food (plus leftovers). I recommend both naan and rice to supplement the entrees! I liked the garlic naan more than the plan. It's pretty quick - 30min ish for carry out after you place the order! Highly recommend for carry out. You won't regret it. read more

I am very disappointed with my recent experience. I really liked this place. I started with the vegetarian appetizer platter and it came out burnt and tasted like it had been cooked in old oil. They were completely black in the center and are supposed to be green. My partner and I waited over 20 minutes for our server to return and he never did. We had to gesture the bar tender to come over and take our order. The beer was fine, but it wasn't my first, second or third choice because everything else was unavailable. Our original sever finally returned after neglecting our table for the duration of our meal. Keep in mind, there were only two other tables occupied in the restaurant and he tended to one table but ignored ours. This place advertises itself as a fine dining restaurant.
