My doctor took the liberty to schedule the appointment and I was committed to an evening off from work as it was scheduled for 9:15pm. Finding a doctor's appointment to fit my work schedule can be challenging, yet this one was out of the ordinary as I had no idea this center opens until 10pm. Late in the afternoon I received a call and voicemail from them asking if I could come in earlier than scheduled since a last minute cancellation was made making my appointment available from that point on. I immediately went in ASAP! First of all, parking was amazing! On a Tuesday evening when the busy work day comes to an end, Level 1 was completely empty. There were a few patients in the waiting area. But once I completed my personal information sheet, my name was called immediately. The technician was sweet and professional, she was fast and thorough, front desk administrator quickly validated my parking ticket and I was in and out within 15 minutes. By the end of the next day, I was told that my results would get forwarded to my PCP.

I took my grandma here for an MRI…read more This Hawaii Diagnostic Radiology office is located at the St. Francis Hospital on Liliha Ave. on the first floor. There's ample parking with two entrances. You can enter on your first left when you drive in. Or you can drive all the way up to the next building and there is another entry into the parking lot. If you park up there, it's super easy and quick to get to the buildings and this office, but exiting from the parking lot is tiresome. You'll go around and around many times. From the lower section, you need to take the long driveway, make a right turn, then go past the reserved stalls, and then find a spot. If you find a spot without going higher much, you'll need to take the elevator up. If I can quote the wise Olmec, "the choice is yours, and yours alone!" The office and waiting area is very nice. Super clean, cold A/C, comfortable chairs, very spacious, eye-pleasing artwork, and nice TVs not on annoying channels. The staff here are very friendly and professional. They are thorough and explain things clearly and easy to understand. The whole MRI process took a little over an hour, and probably 20 minutes to check in, fill out forms, and wait. The good thing is they validate 3 hours parking, so it'll be free.

Is one reason that we need imagine and this is using x-ray as my ankle has been through so much that the doctor wanted to see how things are affected if any and since the Queen's Island Urgent Care doesn't have imagine at its facility I was directed to this location at the Queen's POB 3 (Physician Office Building) and it's located on the busy corner fronting the main hospital. Parking entrance is on Lauhala Street and is automated but Imaging does validate so getting there is fast and easy. Access through the lobby is available a couple of ways...stairs which is very clear and obvious though the elevator wasn't for me as this was my first time and is a very specific one to take as the standard ones that take you to the offices above don't go to imagine so you need to look past that as there's a sign that will tell you this which I missed unfortunately and took the stairs that was quite the struggle. The staff there is so polite and professional as they asked questions and process me for my appointment so fast and efficiently I was done very fast and got on my ways with ease. Love coming here as the process was very simple and easy along with lots of parking making it less painful to get it done. Thank you!

After about 20 minutes, I went up to the counter to ask for the bathroom key. It wasn't until then the receptionist had told me that she wasn't sure if I wanted to wait. Apparently she called the doctor's Office and there was a message that they were out to lunch and won't be back until 2:00 pm. It wasn't even 1:00 pm yet. I got a little irritates by this thinking and wondering if I hadn't gone up to the counter to ask for the bathroom key, we would have continued to sit there until after 2:00! I felt the receptionist should have at least let me know that she tried calling and that the office wouldn't reopen until after lunch at 2:00. I was pressed for time since I was taking my daughter to get her xrays done, using my lunch break. I ended up leaving and taking my daughter home so I could go back to work. End result was I called and left a message with the doctor's office who the called Hawaii Imaging to call in the paperwork. I ended up taking my daughter after work. Got there at about 4:30 and out in no time after! This place wasn't as crowded as earlier. Highly recommend going later in the afternoon. This location is walk in only. They also validate parking if you park in their lot in the back. I'd recommend calling to make sure they have received your orders from the doctor's office before heading down.

I was MISdiagnosed there 2 YEARS when I had lymphoma UNDER shrapnel from an Iraq War wound. I was told, "You are getting OLD, and it's an old war wound..." DISSED for 2 YEARS??%$#@! finally, I went outside w/Medicare, got a proper diagnosis, (CANCER in that bone under the 'old war wound'), and referred for treatment-- finally the V.A. got involved because I threatened to go to the press if they didn't take over. The docs at St. Francis radiation center were GREAT. But nothing worked as it's a rare cancer and it didn't respond to radiation, and kept coming back. Finally, with MY research (I'm a retired surgeon) I found a treatment that may work for me and they referred me on after my oncologist AGREED. MAHALO PRES. TRUMP for 'Care in The Community', as we can now go to outside docs if we live far away--and they took me seriously, I got treatment the V.A. doesn't have anyway--and they listened to me, treating me with respect as a fellow doc. PALI MOMI WAS THE LATEST DOC TO SEE FOR BONE SURGERY--a big surgery, a VERY long 18 month recovery=MAJOR. I saw Dr. Aratani, who is highly specialized in ortho and oncology--one of only 2 on island. The only other is my friend @ Tripler but he was deployed so unavailable and he got me in to see Dr. Aratani. She was enthusiastic about my research, said YES--and referred me on to Queens for one treatment before she operates...but PALI MOMI WAS A BREATH OF FRESH AIR. I was pretty lost there as I never go to Aiea, living in Kahalu'u, and it's grown so much all my old landmarks are GONE--but after finally finding it, employees directed me every step of the way as to where to go, what building/floor/etc. OMG! That NEVER happens @ the V.A. I was totally--no lie--slack jawed by the time I got to her office! EVERYONE was so FRIENDLY--and not put on--I mean genuinely friendly, helpful...as my leg HURTS and walking HURTS...so so many folks there offered to help..I am BLOWN AWAY. It is BY FAR, the BEST medical facility I have EVER been in--and after getting wounded, I've had 15 surgeries, multiple scars/shrapnel/debility...etc. I just am very impressed=PERIOD. Much aloha to all you guys!!! Your assist and help was SO appreciated! I've been really down about all this, the time I lost getting treated and where it's at now--needing major surgery, possibly crippled for life...yadayada. But you guys there really cheered me up. He texted me needing a lift from Pali Momi Medical Center (PMMC) to his home just off Kinau Street. PMMC opened its doors in July 1989 and has been servicing Central and West Oahu. It was originally opened as Kapiolani Medical Center at Pali Momi until rebranded as PMMC in 2010. They are conveniently located in Aiea just down the road from Pearlridge Shopping Center. It was my first time here and was impressed with the upkeep of the grounds. Because my friend just had a procedure to the day prior, a hospital staff wheeled him via wheelchair to the pickup/drop off area. I was amazed by the hospital's attention to patient's condition, consideration and service extended. Although the pickup was a fairly quick process, the setback I encountered was leaving. There were 2 parked cars in front of me and it didn't seem the cars would be leaving soon. Furthermore, the right hand lane was too narrow where I couldn't pass them. My only option was to back up and exit via the far left lane. Thank goodness there was no car behind me otherwise I would have been in a standstill. Overall, impressed with my first visit to PMMC, with the exception of their pickup and drop off area. 2026 #60

Appointment for xray in Waipahu…read more.. I wasn't able to find the entrance to Hawaii Diagnostic Radiology... I walked all the way around the building. It's a separate entrance in the parking lot... Do not try the entrance with the elevator. Staff were very friendly, patient, and efficient. Waiting area was clean, and had good air-conditioning, and comfy chairs. Thank you for your service! This was a convenient location... instead of driving through traffic to Honolulu!

I don't give ONE star lightly. The negative stars erased the nice reception folks from this rating…read more WHY negative stars? They have the best PET imaging on island--YES. But, that stated? STAFF needs help. For a PET scan, you fast from carbs 24 hours and fast with only water for a LONG time before hand the. day of the PET. Because of this--you CAN get low blood sugar and lightheaded, tired from lack of food and glucose. PET scans use a tagged glucose molecule via direct injection and then you wait a while for it to distribute. They leave you in a nice recliner that has warming features and warm blankets too, so you are comfy waiting-another star there. but then? Here is what I OVERHEARD while I was in the room waiting for the blanket (it's cold in there). I had to get up and ask for it again BTW. 1. They check blood sugar as above due to weakness caused by long fasting...I was old mine was OK, though I didn't see the test done. But someone outside my door, a woman, had a low blood sugar and was symptomatic--feeling faint. The tech, who's name starts with a D, told her her blood sugar rating (low) and then gave her sugar/glucose pills and BLUNTLY told her to "...just take one, most people only need one...just take one!"and WALKED AWAY. He did not monitor her as I heard her voice trail off..."But I feel funny..." He then said something Uncalled for "Just take ONE." (loud) and louder: "You have to be able to walk because I'm NOT carrying you!" Like it was HER FAULT for feeling weak and shaky from low blood sugar? she was VERy anxious, scared...ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS SPEND 2 MINUTES REASSURING HER. He could not be bothered as it is an 'assembly line' there and he RUSHES everyone through. He IS capable, of course. but he has no empathy nor bedside manner--ALL HE IS CONCERNED WITH IS TIME. GET ER DONE. IF this is the fault of over scheduling? Then it is the company's fault and they should slow down. But if he just doesn't care about his patients? Even as a tech, he has a responsibility to patient CARE. not taking TIME, rushing everyone through (I was too and I won't give details but I was shocked)... HE NEEDS EITHER A SLOWER PACED SCHEDULE (company's greed) OR HE NEEDS TO THINK ABOUT WHAT HIS PATIENTS ARE EXPERIENCING. Taking a minute for reassurance? No biggie. Talking WHILE working to put people at ease who are scared or nervous or alone? EASY. Get it together! I felt truly sorry for that woman, as she was simply SCARED. He was RUDE, demeaning, rushed and could have cared less. ONE STAR.
