I contacted the ABT service department and one of their managers- Felita Moore was so kind and helpful. She called the Subzero manufacturer and was able to wave any charges for the necessary part and extend my warranty for another month. Over the years, we've obviously had quite a bit of different sales people help us but most recently we've been very fortunate to come across a great handful of good people who not only care about the sale but also care about our project our home and really what we are trying to do. One thing that definitely sticks out is that abt really does try to do the right thing. This place has grown drastically in the years and now it has an incredible location with great parking. Lots of staff always ready and willing to help. They also bake chocolate chip cookies and give them out for free which obviously makes you feel like everything you see in the showroom feels like home. That was incredible marketing.

Initial contact: They were extremely responsive when I reached out and I loved being able to schedule online (and there was a solid amount of availability. At the appointment: When it came time for the appointment, the technician (who was on time and fully communicative) went above and beyond in the best way. Not only did the technician answer my 100 questions and concerns about smart locks, but he also advised me my options with different locks throughout the property to balance safety and cost. I thought they would only replace the locks but they also were able to replace the doornobs, offering several appealing options in the style I wanted. They had a variety of options for locks too - regular door locks, deadbolts, and smart lock varieties. They even cleaned off the door all around the doornob because it was dirty and looked a little gross! My biggest joy has to be that they were able to use the same locks on multiple doors so we could use one key for all the doors, which is a lifesaver because I was startingbri appear as a janitor with so many keys, lol. After it was all done, they made me a bunch of copies of the key, which was helpful and honestly unexpected because I thought I'd have to go to Lowes after to do that myself given the million and one copies we needed for various family members. Vibes: it was such a seamless experience with an incredibly friendly, helpful, technician who treated my house with respect (eg no outside shoes inside) and was patient with my questions/concerns. Cost: Pricing was all competitive with other companies I considered. It was working fine the last couple of months but my husband decided to install a new opener (mostly because he was afraid it would go bad in the winter and he didn't want to deal with it in the cold). The installation was going fine until we learned the problem was actually that the springs on door were going bad so the door wasn't balanced. Morris did a great job explaining and correcting the issue. He was professional, punctual, and quick. I can't speak to if we received a reasonable quote as we live in California and were flying out of Chicago in a few days. Robert's Garage responded promptly and did what they said they were going to do. We were in a time crunch so we didn't go around getting multiple quotes.
