SCAMMERS. This is the type of place that gives body shops and mechanics a bad reputation. I came here to get body work done on the side and the back of my car, two different accidents. I met with Juan, who did the initial estimate, and the side he said they could do without replacing the door, which would save money (I was paying out of pocket), and the back I asked if they could just buff out some scratches, and he said probably not because there was a crack that was there. Good eye I thought. They came back with a reasonable estimate, said it would take 2 weeks, which was reaaaalllly long, but fine, and I dropped it. They were done at the two week mark, we did a final walk through, they forgot to fix the back! Strange....they said it was all finished, we're going to charge me for it. Also super inconvenient, and in retrospect I wonder if it was on purpose. So...had to leave it again, come back a couple days later, they offered a minuscule discount, whatever....I needed my car and was counting on it that day, would have rather had my car. Anyway I came back again to pick it up, and again, the back, only partially done, they did the bumper but left the crack at the bottom of the trunk! Ms. Erin Guill, the general manager, who by the way also has a general attitude, basically said: it wasn't on the estimate, I don't know what you want from us. I said, well my expectation was that it was, I feel highly misled, when I read the estimate, I honestly don't understand that bumper and trunk are two separate parts and would need to be listed separately. Isn't that their job to clarify when we're looking at it together? I told them I wanted it back to new--in fact I even added on a tiny unrelated dent on another door that was an additional charge, just for completion! Why would I get a tiny dent popped out but not get a crack/scratch on the back cleared up? Also I asked to speak to someone above Erin, she said there was no one there, then finally procured a random guy from the back named John who said he was the manager of their 3 locations/he floats around fixing things, sure ok. I asked him for the owner's name, he said Nick and I asked for the last name, he said "I'm not giving you that!" Like what kind of operation are you running if you can't disclose the business owner's last name (which is public info I assume anyway). Anyway I've gotten cars fixed so many times, at mechanics, body shops, I've honestly never felt DUPED or misled before. I really think they left the crack off to keep the estimate down to get my business...I got the initial estimate done in March and they must have called me 6-7 times to follow up to get me to come in...which also felt slightly spammy/harassing... Moral of the story is: if the price is too good to be true, there's probably a reason! My fault I guess for not understanding the difference in how parts are listed on an estimate but I do think it's in extremely poor taste and service and misleading to act as if someone only wants half the job done, without double checking to make sure they understand what they are getting for the price. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Next time I will be going to Bob Carter's in Downers Grove, he had a higher estimate but at least was HONEST about the work he was going to do. And it's funny he warned me about this exact thing!! Lesson learned.... read more

I picked up some urethane traffic paint along the entire driver's side of my 2022 Sonata while on a cross country road trip a few weeks ago. Nothing I tried to remove the paint worked. According to the company applying the paint, the only way to remove it was scrapping or sanding it off. I went to Kubis to get the paint removed and the car's finish restored. After sanding and applying clear coat, reconditioning the wheels, replacing the fender liners, repainting the rocker cover and rear bumper cover the car again looks as good as it did when it rolled off the showroom floor. It was about a year and a half ago that I went to this body shop in order to get a quote on how much the cost of repairs would be for some deep scratches along my driver's side door. They give me an estimate of over $3k for the repairs. 3rd body shop place I visited give me a quote of half that amount at about $1.6k. So yeah... Looking back, maybe they priced that quote because they knew I was going through the offender's insurance and not my own. However, I still dislike this sort of distasteful dishonesty and would advise against anyone going here. read more

Believe all of the other reviews, these guys are the best. I put a large dent in the back of my Tesla's lift gate. Originally Kubis was going to order and install a new gate, but there were none available due to supply chain issues.
