It hit right below the rearview mirror and immediately the crack worsened ( it was a much colder day then we had experienced for a while) and it began spreading right in the middle of the sight line on the driver's side. She was pretty worried that the whole windshield was gonna crumble . Which I told her the glass is made to prevent a blowout, but will definitely impair your view pretty badly. She got to work, and went into her office. After calling me and telling me the situation , I looked around for a place that was nearby her work. I discovered Auto Glass masters, which had a bunch of good reviews and also noted that they were used by insurance companies pretty extensively.. I called the number and talked to Monse. She was very polite. I eventually got her the information she needed to give me a quote called my daughter back and told her the info which she agreed to go ahead with. I called Monse back scheduled a same-day appointment and that was it for my part. The place was within walking distance of my daughter's office . She went there and was treated very well. They explained everything and told her they would call her when they were done. They had called her earlier than the agreed upon appointment, saying she could bring in the car early if she wished. Which is what she did. They changed the windshield out, allowed an hour or so for the adhesive to dry and called her back. My daughter received her car in the early afternoon and was able to complete her workday and drive home in complete safety. Thanks, Auto Glass Masters. Definitely recommend the shop, not only for getting the vehicle in and out on the same day, but for the kindness extended to their customers and patience and answering questions and for promptly responding to our family emergency. Will recommend . An excellent Mom and Pop shop. This is the type of place you should frequent over a big chain place to keep them going and in business!

To make matters worse, I received a follow-up email claiming I now needed to pay an additional $495 for ADAS recalibration, bringing the new total to $1,045.96. My vehicle does not have windshield-mounted sensors or a front-facing camera, yet they insisted recalibration was mandatory or they wouldn't repair it. I even confirmed with my dealership. This is a classic money grab, adding hidden fees and pushing unnecessary services on customers who may not realize what their vehicle does or doesn't require. I have used Safelite for many years prior to this experience, but after today, I will not be using them in the future.

Not necessarily a really nice place, like the dealerships where it's comfortable with fake leather seating and choices of fresh brewed coffee by machines, but there were plenty of seats, though a lot of customers (was 3-4pm) but the guy I was greeted with was very helpful in every way - no BS Anna's to the point. This is not the Beverly Hills Rolls Royce dealership, it's a windshield repair and replacement shop! My chip and small crack was deemed to be very minor and he recommended that I don't do the repair as it could last a month or the lifetime of the car. Since I have coverage, he said that if needed, windshield replacement is covered by insurance so just schedule another appointment later when needed. But if I really wanted to, I could still do the repair and or replacement. I decided against the repair and will come back later per his suggestion, which saved me time and maybe some money too. Since I got great advice and saved allot of time, I'm more than happy on the 4 stars. And will come back when I am back in the area and need to do windshield work on my car. Also, since it is wintertime right now, service at your site might be iffy due to weather and availability (there were allot of customers at this location, and it's winter). I'll be back for sure!
