Well they do have a trifecta of sorts. Lousy service, unkempt showroom and limited products. I literally had to beg the designer to answer a few questions. She allowed me to ask exactly one question per interaction. They had some product brochures, but the one by the quartz samples was from 2020 so even the written material wasn't of help. The admin person was nice enough, but really knew nothing about the products on the floor and had to confer with said disinterested designer. I was referred to this place by the son of a friend who had assistance from Daniel when he did a complete kitchen remodel. Unfortunately Daniel ran away from me as I entered the showroom (I knew who he was based on his photo on their website.) I wanted a place that wasn't as precious as some of the Bethesda showrooms are, but this place isn't it. Just go online instead of bothering to drive out to Rockville. You'll get much more information that way, that's for sure. Makes you wonder how they stay in business. read more

Anyway, AMAZING service by Brendan, he helped me with the 3D shelving/cabinets print out (giving me a clearer view), made very good suggestions for my little salon. Brendan is very patient, listens and creative. Some things were out of stock from the print out he circled as a reminder to be ordered... just these little details, made me appreciate his work ethics. Before you work with this company, know that the owners do not stand behind their work. We spent a lot of money having our bathroom completely redesigned. The installation process was not a good one. In addition to being rude, the lead installer was sloppy, drilling numerous screws through the bathroom wall so that they were sharply pointing into our bedroom. We noticed after the job was completed and they had to come back to fix it. If you use this company, you will have to inspect the finished work very carefully before signing off on it. The parts come with a 12 month manufacturer's warranty. Sounds fine, right? When the finish on my shower door started wearing down just before the 12 month deadline, I reached out to the company. They sent my contact info to the manufacturer several times, who has completely ignored my attempts to reach him. I asked Bath & Kitchen Showroom if they would take responsibility for this and said yes because that was unacceptable. This was after three months of patience on my end. Last week they sent someone to my home who came in ready for a fight. He spit on the shower door, rubbed it with his finger (there was a sink right there if he needed water), then yelled that the water from the shower was to blame, there was nothing they can do since they "just do the installations" and are not responsible for the products. I'm not sure why they bothered sending him, consider this was the exact opposite of what I was promised on the phone. That they would take responsibility. This is the worst customer service I have EVER received in my life and we would never use this company again. read more

Fabulous!!! I worked with Mark to completely remodel my little kitchen. He is very knowledgeable about kitchen design and has years of experience to assure great function and comfort. The work was on time and on budget. I made changes along the way. Of course my changes were upgrades that cost more than planned but my family loves the finished product. We shopped there for flooring and tile, we were not there for them to design an entire room. They didn't like that, made that quite clear by scowls and unhelpfulness (but never quite said that aloud) and were really nasty to us in the end. You can easily find just as beautiful, quality stuff and staff that will treat you like a human being not a cash cow. Try In Home Stone, Mosaic tile, Plumbing Parts Plus, Sommerville Kitchen and Bath (in Falls Church) Oh and one more thing, they loooove "shockra beige" MSI quartz countertop and they'll try to sell clients on it. I went to see the whole slab of shockra beige at MSI warehouse in Sterling VA and its really ugly, muted, etc. so beware. It looks completely different as a large slab. read more

Since I spent the time to write a less-than-glowing review of another superstore after a semi-catastrophic kitchen remodel, of course I need to share the polar opposite experience I had working with Daniel and Dixon here for my bathroom renovations. Simply put, everything from service to prices to incredible knowledge about what they do to personalities was five-star all the way. And if I could give them more than five stars, I would. I was given the names of a few showrooms to comparison shop -- once I met with Daniel and Dixon my search was over. I had a basic idea of what I was looking for, and designs in hand. Daniel is the man when it comes to the cabinetry and granite and design, making sure everything would work perfectly, down the to nano-inch. Dixon is a walking encyclopedia of all things bath/shower/plumbing related (as well as, quite frankly, one of the nicest guys in the world). He knew exactly what I needed and could always find the items that fit my aesthetic AND budget. In two cases, in fact, when the actual contracting work was going on and I had minor emergencies I knew I could call him and he'd talk me through it AND in both cases was able to provide the missing parts within an hour (even though NEITHER mistake had anything to do with BKS). He was truly my guardian angel on this project. My only regret is that I didn't know about these guys when we did our kitchen. I am sure we would have saved a lot of money and a lot of headaches! read more

They renovated my master bathroom, gutting it and replacing everything except one medicine cabinet. They showed up when they said they would, they finished on time, the price was as initially quoted, to the penny. It passed DC inspection without problem. The equipment and tile were from the usual repetoire, except for a Toto washlet and a custom glass shower enclosure. The only glitch was a faulty bath shower head, which they detected when they installed it and took several weeks to replace. Asha's taste was better than mine, and she took me firmly in hand to make sure the bathroom would look great, which it does. Not cheap, but in this case you get what you pay for. read more

Mark at B&K Showroom was our kitchen designer for a complete gut and rebuild. He is talented and helpful and willing to work with your vision and budget. The teams that were in our house were professional and very high quality. B&K Showroom also beat 4 other quotes and they didn't low-ball us, so we ended up paying even less than our original quote, which I guarantee few people ever experience. Lastly, they redid our entire kitchen (10'x12') in 3 weeks. 3! read more

I had them work on my bathroom and would not recommend this company. The work done was mediocre. There was not much care given to the finishes. For example, they didn't sand down the plaster that got on the wall in certain places near the tiling so it looks unfinished and sloppy. Also, the tile was about an 1/8 off the wall in parts of the bathroom where they didn't tile all the way to the ceiling but they didn't cap it or anything so I had to that myself. There was just a gap. It took so long for them to do anything or respond to calls I decided it was best for me to complete that part of the job rather wait. Besides the examples above the rest of the work was OK if not great. My biggest complaint is the customer service is terrible. First the glass tile they installed kept cracking. It took about three months and 10 phone calls to get them to come and fix the problem. Each call would end with "I will call you back." I don't think they did once. When they did replace the cracked tiles they did a half ass job so they look different than the rest of the tiles in the shower. About 10 months after they completed the work the shower broke, it stopped allowing hot water to come out of the shower head. The problem was the component they installed failed. That happens, I understand. My problem is it's three weeks later and I'm still waiting for them to fix it. It took them two weeks to get a new part, which seems long considering it's not an exotic shower system. I still can't get them to tell me when they will come and install the part so I've had to hire my own plumber. Even if I think they should do the work, as they say they will, at some point it's not worth having to take a cold shower at home each morning or go to the gym to shower before work to save a few dollars. The tile wasn't an emergency but I was surprised they would leave a customer without hot water for three weeks and show no signs that they ever planned on addressing the issue. I would have preferred they told me right away: we will order the replacement part, which is under warranty, but we will not do the installation. I would not have been happy with that response but I would have known from the start it was on me to get the shower fixed. Instead I feel like they jerked me around. I'm not sure if they are dishonest or incompetent. Regardless, it's been a very frustrating experience. read more

We're working on a remodel of our kitchen and dining room and popped into Bath & Kitchen Showroom based on on the previous (old) Yelp reviews. The woman we worked with was a very nice, polished salesperson and we thought we would like to work with this company. The salesperson and the company's owner came to our home to measure the space and told us they would get back to us with estimates in a week or two. I reached out to the salesperson three weeks later to ask what the status was, and was told it would be a couple of days. At four weeks, I was told it would be the very next day. It's been six. If you actually want to get work done (and not be lied to), find another company. read more

We had a bathroom done by this company. We paid a high price for what was said to be good work and 10 year guarantee. Instead they sent us some people who had never done this before and someone to supervise but seldom appeared. The shower didn't drain well and caused shower room wall tiles to crack. We called them about the problem many times and each time were told that it would cost $150 to come to check it out. After 7 or 8 years we had to spend money to have the shower redone. read more

I just had one of the worst experiences with this place over the course of nearly a year. I want to warn everyone I can to steer clear of them. They are mismanaged, uncoordinated (meaning that the people you deal with in the store do not communicate well with the actual installers), they use contractors with minimal oversight and questionable experience, they produce mediocre work product at best, and they are shockingly overpriced. They couldn't finish a simple basement bathroom rehab for us in 10 months -- a job that was slated to last about 2 weeks. And they act like they are doing you a favor if they manage to finish their project -- even after 10 months of mistakes and low quality work product. Stay away! read more

The pre-sale service is excellent. That is! The post-service is really bad. Simple towel bar was missing the deadline. There is no screws to assembly the Kohler sinks. I was told they are part of the package. I have to print the installation sheet and sent to LOWES to put the screw set together. Their price is 15-20% higher than Lowers and Internet pricing. If their service is OK, I may like to pay the extra. Otherwise, do yourself a favor to research more and find a better choice. read more
