Besides the giant mochi, they also sell very affordable sponge cakes ranging from $1 to $1.50. The giant mochi is getting viral for being the size of a huge blob and the different fillings you can have being stuffed inside (wrapped with the mochi) depending on various prices. My friends and I got the giant mochi with four fillings. Total turns out to be $14. We have chosen mango pomelo + cookie & cream + strawberry + lychee rose. We're amazed by the vibrant colors side by side next to each other. It is a very cool process to watch the staff make it in person. Would be best to eat the mochi freshly made. Don't try to eat it by yourself though because it's way too fulfilling imo. Best to split the whole thing between 3-5 people. Another thing is that, they should've provided chopsticks or forks rather than plastic spoons. Not gonna lie, but it's pretty hard to actually scoop the mochi up. Like I'm saying, I don't recommend this dessert for those who can't tolerate anything dairy. The giant mochi is officially a "once-and-done" dessert for me. Quite filling -- the red beans almost make this dessert a meal. - Peach Gum Resin Lotus Seed Fresh Milk 桃胶莲子鲜奶: $12.99, with Oat Milk, 75¢ extra; total $14.96 with tax. Makkee's desserts seem to use higher quality ingredients than neighboring dessert chains -- the peach gum is here is a deep amber hue, compared with a much lighter shade elsewhere. Seating is comfortable. Most of the tables have magnetic surfaces. Makkee Dessert is in somewhat of a mobile data dead zone, at least for Verizon users, despite the store's proximity to the 37th Avenue entrance of Tangram Mall. I didn't have connectivity issues using AT&T, though. Tangram Mall provides deteriorating restrooms and offers free Wi-Fi, but that Wi-Fi capacity is often saturated and not usable.

The milk base was completely frozen. Although I think the combination of the sticky rice and mango was good, the dessert overall was lack-luster. I got a variety of flavors like coconut, pandan, peaflower, red bean, and corn. Overall, the taste was good, but I can tell that after a day, it would not have been good and would have needed a 10-20 second reheating in the microwave. Some of the negatives were that the pieces were cut inconsistently, set types were inconsistent with # of pieces (1 small set had 4 instead of 2), and the pricing per piece is a bit high ($2.50 per piece). The food was fairly priced for the portions and was cooked to order. I did wish that my fish dish was on the crispier side but it was very flavorful and pungent. The ice cream was good but a bit tiny for the amount of waffle there was and didn't really seem like it matched the picture. I would go again, but maybe to try a different menu item instead of their bubble waffles.
