I was skeptical at first but its actually pretty good! The tuna was unbelievably fresh and tasty. Our favorite roll by far was the dragon roll because of the tuna. The avocado was very fresh and perfectly ripe too. The Christmas roll had was tasty, but you cant eat too of it because its very indulgent. The colorful roll was yummy, but a little fishy (maybe the salmon or the tobiko??). Overall, I was not expecting this to be actually tasty sushi and fresh fish for a random location and pretty inexpensive rolls. My feedback is that there is inconsistent amount of rice on the rolls, very often rolls having too little and exposed nori. I think the rolls could also be more tightly rolled so they dont fall apart. Lastly, I found the amount of tobiko on the colorful roll to be a little overwhelming and overpowered the roll (but that might just be my preference) Im a little biased being from California, so if this was back in CA, id give it a 8/10. So good we went twice in one week! Vibe: Small Japanese sushi restaurant Service: 10/10 our server was so nice and efficient. We got a complimentary sushi bite each before the start of our meal, I've never had that at a sushi place before! Food: Great! The first visit we got a yummy roll, pad Thai, and dumpling soup, everything was very good. The second visit we got the yummy roll again (it's that good), dumpling soup, crap rangoons. We also got the pink lady sushi roll which was so good and unique. For dessert I got the mango mochi which was extremely flavorful and delicious. We were so excited to come back to Kumo Sushi for my niece's and nephew's graduations. After so many years. So happy to see that Bella and her husband are still there. Pork Katsu: perfection. I was looking forward to come back here regularly, bring my cousin and my dad when they visit this summer. These were the flowers, now he comes the vase: We will never go back to Kumo Sushi, and I'm pretty sure that none of the people in our party of 9 will either. As she took the check, I was telling my nephew that I did boycott Seoul Bunsik in Dracut for charging $1 credit card fees. And Lanxang Star too, where they started charging credit card fees (or "cash discount", same thing), and "customer service fees".... Fees for this, fees for that. And now Kumo: I was shocked and infuriated when I received the credit card slip to sign! $6.90 "non-cash charge" on a $222 bill! WTF! First of all, prices should be the same for everyone whether you pay cash or credit. I don't care if they incur credit card fees, that's part of doing business.... And if they can't absorb the $0.25, $0.50, 1% or 2% the credit card companies charge, then they should close business and do something else. (This is so stupid, they should have just increased their prices by 0.5% or 1% regardless of how you pay, and nobody would have noticed. Certainly not like the "non-cash charge" of $6.90 !) Well, this is a stupid business decision on their part. Because of this $6.90 fee: 1- I was gonna give her a $40 tip, but I brought it down to $30, 2- We will never go back. 3- Pretty sure none of the people in our party of 9 will either. Oh, and BTW, We were there for over an hour and a half, and nobody else came to sit down and eat. There were 2-3 takeout order at most so... Chef Kiss. All around we loved Kumo, we are currently in New Hampshire for first time to search for a place to live and we are exploring best reviewed spots. First they start w a complementary appetizer which was beautiful a work of art, an orange slice w a filet of tuna. We had miso soup and sea weed salad, also fire. Then we shared a sushi roll the Boston red socks, Holly Molly, the best piece of sushi I've had in my life and I live in Palm Beach Florida were food is not bad it's actually very good. We shared the steak and chicken hibachi and the banana tempura desert w a side or ice cream. You can tell these people put a lot of effort and talent into their cooking they use an actual hibachi grill in the back which come to find doesn't mean cooking in front of you but instead a type of grill wow overall great experience. Cannot recommend this place enough. We stopped in on our drive back from skiing. We were seated immediately and they quickly brought out a couple pieces of sushi as a complementary sample. Which were so tasty! Both crab meat one with mango sauce and I forget the other one. We ordered Pad Thai with extra peanuts and they really came through on those extra peanuts. The pad thai itself was pretty standard, a large portion and tasty. We also ordered the Yummy Roll and it was so dang yummy. Such good flavor stuffed full and great crunch. Went a second time and it again does not disappoint. Got the pink Lady roll which was very good. The mango mochi was bursting with flavor and the crab Rangoon's were really well cooked. I wouldn't get the crab Rangoon's again personally but that just because I like more crab to cream cheese ratio. It was just ok, had ordered several rolls and it looked like a home cook made them. Every single roll was so lose that fell apart just trying to pick them up. Hardly had any outer rice and over stuffed in the middle. Hibachi could have used more flavor, but it was ok. The big disappointment was the 150.00 in rolls. read more

We moved to Windham in April and have been waiting to try this place. My wife was pregnant when we first got here so raw fish was going to have to wait. So tonight (being our anniversary) and with a 5 week old & 4 year old we figured nice takeout was our best option. Now usually we'd scope a place and order a few things before going all out but with the reviews they had & it being a special occasion we just went for it. We ordered 8 special rolls, some soup & noodles. We placed the order at 430 assuming it would be 45 minutes to an hour to prepare. My first red flag should've been the 35 minute time estimate. I show up in 25 minutes and only had to wait 5 so they did this order in a half hour on top of other orders. Def fishy, get it. lol I get home and open the sushi. It just looked bad to start. The more you inspected it the worse it got. Nothing was fresh. Nothing. Not even the sushi rice, it was ice cold meaning it was prepared previously and refrigerated. This was the common theme, the rolls seemed like they were prepared days ago and shoved in a walk in. The tempura was rubber, the shrimp was ice cold, the eel was flaking apart, the wrappers were even disintegrating. Even the avacado was brown. The entire order was put in one circular tray and the bottom was all water. (Even worse, seems like this was frozen) Every roll was mush, it was inedible. After we each had one piece of each roll we threw the entire $190 tray of 'top rated sushi restaurant' sushi in the trash. I can't for the life of me see how a sushi restaurant would even consider serving days old sushi, grocery stores don't even do that. They should be ashamed. One of, If not THE, worst sushi experiences of my life. Such a shame - we were really excited and it's only a few minutes from our house. Don't waste your money. read more
