The lady starts talking for a solid 8 minutes about how tight everything is and I need more time. I tell her I don't have time and thank her anyway she continues how I'm so tight that I need these special herbs in the lotion to put on my skin and started doing it anyway before I agreed and then said that it was $10 more when I told her I don't need it she continued pressuring me, and kept getting louder and louder now I am not one to be pressured and embarrassed. It took me raising my voice and telling her loudly I CANNOT AFFORD IT. Now there are other people, I shouldn't have had to do that when I told her no the first time and she kept going and going. It's in Wellington/Royal Palm so I'm guessing she figured that I had money to throw around and that if she got louder i'd be embarrassed and would just agree. Bob received a phone call at 3pm on May 8th that Emily was sick and they had reschedule. So our next appointment was for Bob and myself this Saturday June 2nd at 10am. I just received a phone call from Danielle that Emily would be out of town and they had to cancel Bobs appointment for this Saturday. I asked her to please cancel my appointment as well and refund us our $300 as this is the 2nd time in a row his massage was cancelled. She said she had to speak with someone and would call me back. I called the place we used to get massages and they were able to fit us both in this Saturday. Danielle calls me back again and says Emily will be able to do Bobs massage. I asked if she is going to be out of town, how is she able to do the massage? I asked again to please just cancel my massage and refund us our money. Leanne has been my go-to girl for the majority of the time. She defines what a healer is. She is loaded with love and compassion and truly wants her patients to feel better by the time they leave. I live with severe pain and that can be very difficult not just physically but emotionally. Undoubtedlyif you were trying to choose whether or not to go to them you should know that you are truly safe in their hands. I suffered for about a week or so before getting to her. She was able to help be identify the emotional reason why I was having back pain. She also had introduced me to her Chakra Balancing. I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I came back to her three days before surgery, to help prepare my mind and body. I left her place feeling invincible. I previously was very scared for my up coming surgery! I suffer from anxiety and I can honestly tell you that after a session on Sunday and surgery wed 6am, I feel amazing!! I can not explain it, I was not scared at all. Not even anxious. I was the most confident and calm I have ever seen myself, and it was one of the scariest moments of my life, my husband was in shock. I was joking with the surgeon and felt I was back to be carefree happy self. And now is 5 days since surgery and I am healing very good. No pain. No bruising. When I get to the check out counter (back in the claustrophobic room), when I initially went to pay, the charge was $70... Maxine came out, spoke to the lady behind the cash register quickly before she grabbed her next client, and the cashier informed me that deep tissue was an additional $10 more. I already thought it was a little too expensive, but hey, I NEEDED that massage. I had no problem paying the additional money - I could tell that even though the error made wasn't my fault, she still wanted her extra $10 bucks... I'm assuming she's the owner. Overall, Maxine gave an amazing, relaxing massage; she was polite & professional. The towels, blankets & sheets were all clean and smelled fresh. This "day spa" is a little too cramped for me to ever consider getting a manicure or pedicure here, honestly. And I'm sure their other services are overpriced, just as the massages are.
